I have read a little of Zdarsky’s Howard the Duck but it wasn’t my cup of tea. Thanks anyway for the recommendation, Dominick. Have a nice weekend, my friend. 👊🏻
The storyline takes place in modern-day continuity. Tim Drake and Damian Wayne currently share the Robin title, and Tim was used because he's Chip Zdarsky's favorite Robin.
@@TheComicBookReport I'm loving it. Zdarsky has a great understanding of Bruce's dualities and his insecurities. Bruce is someone who lost his parents as a kid, so he created this superhero identity of himself to make himself feel strong and invincible. That insecurity leads to overthinking and paranoia, and that obviously is highly self-destructive. The current storyline (the one following this) is a bit more meh, IMO, but is still pretty enjoyable and makes me excited for what happens next.
I got you! 💪👏🦇 Thoroughly enjoyed this. Already a Zdarsky fan and couldn’t wait to check out this Batman run. Have you had an opportunity to check this out yet? 📚
Great review, i recommend you to read Batman Detective Comics Vol. 1: The Neighborhood by Mariko Tamaki and Dan Mora, so you can understand better the actual situation of Batman and why he no longer lives in the Wayne manor, this run was at the same time to James Tynion's Batman run.
I'm Really excited to read this book as soon as I get it so glad Tim Drake is in the forefront of this! Jorge jiménez has become one of my favorite Batman artists! Who is your favorite Batman artist?
My favorite Batman artist is Jim Lee I remember when I first read Hush I couldn’t believe how gorgeous it was. I do Really love Jimenez’s Batman stuff though just stunning. And yeah this book was a ton of fun! I had no idea Tim was the Robin in this book until I started reading a very fun and welcome surprise 👏🦇🦇🦇
I was thoroughly impressed and I already had high expectations 😂🦇👏 Love all of Zdarsky’s clear love for the Morrison era and seeing a Tim Drake Batman and Robin story was so fun
please can you do a review on Batman: The Bat-Man of Gotham (it's the volume after this one) ? Also are you hyped for volume 3 of Chip Zdarsky's run on Batman, Batman: Dark Prisons?
Hadn’t heard of that third volume yet but I actually just bought that vol 2 Bat-Man of Gotham this week! Stay tuned I’ll likely review in the next month 🦇🦇🦇
I love what Zdarsky did with DD and now I am loving what he is doing with Batman. I am really curious how it continues. 😃
Oh same here! 📚🦇
If you want to see Zdarsky’s range and you enjoy comedic books I also recommend his run on Howard the Duck 🦆
