0:00 Introduction: Vertigo symptoms
0:40 What causes vertigo?
1:05 Calcium crystals in the inner ear
3:45 Vertigo natural remedy
4:41 Vertigo exercises
In this video, I’m going to share a natural remedy for vertigo. Surgery, along with vertigo exercises, are sometimes suggested as treatment for vertigo, but this doesn’t address the root cause.
Vertigo is typically caused by calcium crystals in the wrong part of the ear. These inner ear crystals interrupt communication between the hairs and nerves in the ear and the brain. This can drastically affect balance.
It’s normal to have inner ear crystals, but if they’re in the wrong place, they can cause vertigo. In the first compartment of the inner ear, calcium crystals are situated on top of the otolithic membrane. Underneath are hairs connected to nerves that go to your brain. Calcium crystals add weight to this “gel” membrane to help you easily navigate the world around you.
Most people have around 1000 calcium crystals per ear. These inner ear crystals are only problematic when they become dislodged and go deeper into the ear. This can be caused by head trauma, infections, certain medications, and aging.
People with vertigo have higher calcium concentrations in the lymph, so they may have more trouble dissolving it. There’s a high association of people with osteoporosis and vertigo. People with osteoporosis have excess calcium in the soft tissues.
Vitamin D may help with vertigo by helping your body remove excess calcium and putting it where it belongs.
Consider taking between 10,000 and 20,000 IU of vitamin D3. Make sure to take it with vitamin K2 and magnesium. Magnesium naturally counters calcium buildup.

😺👍
Thank you.
Thank you. I love
I have vertigo 24/7, one ear doesn't balance with the other, so, I've been taking vitamin D and Magnesium for a while now and neurologist tells me there's no cure for this?
Thanks for this summary!
how mug mag and k2
My wife had Vertigo a year ago. It was awful we thought it was worse maybe even a brain tumor as she would fall and couldn't stand up. They gave her medicine for vertigo and it only helped a tiny amount. So wife and I went on RUclips and watched 5 minute video on the Epley Maneuver. Did that and a minute later she was fine. A year later not a single episode. I am also taking daily magnesium with D3/K2 as well.
I am suffering with vertigo since last 3 months
Epley maneuver not always help. Depend in where is crystal
Bro I’m 21 I had vertigo around October/November of 2023 a lot of people think we’re joking but if you’ve never experienced it it’s an absolutely terrifying experience. Woke up, saw everything tilting LIKE unrealisticly tilting. Went back to sleep, woke up 2 hours later and nope I wasn’t dreaming I had to vomit2-4 different times and lowkey thought I was going to die. When I tried walking I had to hold on the wall or something. Was afraid of telling anyone else other than my mom since they would’ve thought it was a mild headache. I got vertigo because for some reason I kept turning my head sleeping positions at night (I’m dumb so that’s what I get) but the solution for me was to rest for the next few days while doing my best to sleep on the same sleeping position with my head facing the same direction which put the crystals back in my ear. I tried doing ear exercises but nah it didn’t help. Works for some works for others. Let me just say to anyone reading this who’s never had it it’s an extremely extremely scary thing to go through. Sleeping “fine” and waking up with everything around you tilting left to right , urge to vomit. Wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy
yes its very effective epley I did myself also 2 times and the 2 times it went away right away
Went through a period of stomach issues, and suddenly developed vertigo. It would happen like clockwork every 6 weeks, very intense, but would only last about 2 minutes. I started on intermittent fasting and started eating sauerkraut and it was over, as easy as that. No vertigo in 3 years.
This doctor needs to be cloned and put into every medical school to re-educate doctors with correct information about health. He is brilliant, and a gem of a person to anyone with common sense about how to improve their health in a sustained way. I just love learning from his simple to understand videos.. I respect this man immensely. 👏👏👏
Amen
I agree. Dr. Berg is a wonderful person. He gets our "genuine great human" award. 👏
You do realize he is a chiropractor!
in the future AI and robotics will replace most human doctors
Hello, dear Doctor Berg, my name is Alisher, I am watching your videos from the country of Uzbekistan, I am 32 years old, I have been taking testosterone therapy since 25 years, the doctors diagnosed me with hormonal disorders and prescribed life-long hormone therapy for 8 years. thick insomnia tormented me in one of your videos you said an organic egg raises testosterone I started eating 4 pieces egg after 6 months I restored my hormones I feel great I am grateful to you for everything thank you from God I always asked for one thing which angel will come and save me it’s you I’m watching yours video in Russian you are a doctor from God
Wow! are you still on hormone therapy now?
Dr. Berg, are you sneaking around in my apartment? Almost every video is an issue or topic I've been thinking of, and you upload a video of it- that day. Are you in the bushes, whats going on. Thank you for your information, truly
It's a secret lol. Hope my videos will help you.
I agree. Don't use vertigo inducing visual images. I immediately got dizzy. Not amusing.
Since going Carnivore now almost 4 months, I do not have the vertigo anymore. Until your video appeared today (5/5/2024), I almost totally forgot that I even had the problem! The epley maneuver really does help though!
Amazing how eating stuff appropriate for our species fixes so many problems!
I just finished watching a vegan vid.
Very informative, but the opening scenes demonstrating vertigo was difficult to watch, as it immediately triggered my vertigo.
Me, too.
Made me nauseous
I had vertigo and couldn't get out of bed to visit the loo without falling against the walls. I followed the exercises on the video and in 3 days I was better and I have never had it again. It's been about a couple years now. Thank you Dr. Berg
As you enter menopause, women often get dizzy. It's because these crystals are not dissolving in the right way or are not staying in the right positions in the inner ear. This is due to the fluctuation and decrease of estrogen...
Vestibular therapy often helps.... But it's always good to have a natural remedy before you have to go for the physical therapy
It’s awful 💔💔💔
What's vestibular therapy?
I went to a P T. Worked perfect the first time
I don’t wish this on my enemy! It’s awful!
@@SusAmongus-lx8db Totally. Made me so nauseous at the PT
Oh my gosh I watched your video on vertigo a while ago and I had vertigo all the time. It was so bad I would vomit. Do I take 50000 D3 and 500 mcg once a week. It had been a miracle for me. I can't remember when I had my last vertigo attack and I suffered for years every few weeks. So God bless and thank you Dr Berg
Definitely see a vestibular therapist who can help diagnose and treat vertigo🙏🏼
@@moony77 I did it's positional vertigo. Vitamin D3 and K2 was the only thing that helped physical therapy made it worse.
it this the vertigo where you turn you head or roll over in bed a certain way and your would starts spinning, and what is mcg and why just once a week, could smaller doses be taken daily to get the 50000 or no?
@@trishacomer3883 K2 500mcg. That one shot really helps get the deposits out of the soft tissue. It really has worked wonders for me I take it every Saturday and I had my levels checked and it came back good
Vertigo comes from body deficiencies
Amazing! I always thought my vertigo was due to dehydration but this makes so much sense crystals in my ears, stones in my kidneys, and gout crystals in my toe. All due to lack of calcium from low D which I do have. 20 years of this and your video is the first that’s connecting everything for me. Many blessings to you😊
Dr. Berg there could you please plsce a warning on this video advising that if you are sensitive to vertigo please do not watch just listen. This video can cause one to get vertigo heady and nauseaus. Otherwise excellent information. Thank you.
I got sick trying to watch it, too, nasty visuals here!
Yeah whoever decided to do the visuals to make sick people sicker is a real freaking sadist And if anybody else creates content on vertigo hopefully they will be smart enough not to Make dizzying videos To go with it.
This video was not designed for people with vertigo to watch it - all those movement scenes in it are full-on vertigo inducing!
Agreed. I had to stop watching it 🙏🏼
can confirm, I now have vertigo
Why would you be on the Internet during a bout of vertigo?
So they can listen
Perhaps just listen and not watch. Honestly, it's the information that needs to be heard over any footage scene. So try closing your eyes. I don't have vertigo as far as I am aware but there are meditation videos on RUclips that I refuse to look at the screen while they play because of the off putting visuals . I just close my eyes and listen.
This is the best explanation I've ever seen, Dr Berg. Also ginger tea with fresh lemon is wonderful to help get rid of dizziness and nausea. Thanks for your helpful advice 🙏🏻
Ginger = natural "sea sickness/ imbalance" remedy
Ginger works with all kinds of nausea but I did not find that it worked When I had vertigo because every single thing I put in my stomach I puked
@@CJDane-rf1je sorry to know about that. Epley maneuver exercise is highly recommended when that happens and Dr Berg has several videos on vertigo that may be helpful. Take good care.
Thanks for this. From your previous video on the matter, I was able to get rid of the crystals. I went to the hospital and Al they gave me was rubbing alcohol to smell to get rid of the nausea and a $500 bill. 20,000 IU Vitamin D and 500 IU of Vitamin K worked for me. Been 6 months since I suffered from this and hasn’t re-occurred.
how long did you take them? Did you take magnesium also?
20,000 IU daily??
Great to know we share the similar experiences
@@freespirit6209I am taking 50.000 UI once a week because my last blood-works showed my body was only 14 of vitamin D. That for 8 weeks. Then I will take only 7.000 per week.
Retired hospital & nursing home LPN here: we had ONE neurologist in hospital who would insist on this as a possible treatment when the patient’s labs were good. KISS method, he often said Dr’s are ordering all kinds of expensive tests when the Epley Maneuver may solve the entire problem, & some people have it have it done as an annual routine.
I tried the manoeuvre with a specialist Vertigo physio but he said best to come to him with the Vertigo but it's so bad I'm on the floor and can't. I went after the episode unfortunately didn't work for me, what's the KISS!!!!
@@libjane6710 Keep It Simple Stupid. No not calling you stupid. That is what it means.
@@libjane6710 sorry it didn’t work for you, which means your medical condition was mote advanced. KISS= keep it simple stupid. The Doc I knew was disgusted the simple Epley Maneuver wasn’t tried 1st- if Labs were good. He thought too many $$$$ tests were prescribed right off the bat.
Wow, I have been suffering for years with this. This explains so much!
I have had this and through that video, I got rid of Vertigo.
And also now I want to thank you so much for the information!
❤❤❤
I'm 45 and ever since I was 26 I've had BPPV episodes every 2-3 years. I've gotten to the point where I can do the Epley moves myself in my bed. Sometimes I have to do them more than once, but eventually I can mellow the spins out enough to manage my day. I have to sleep with my head and body elevated for a week until things fully subside. Taking these vitamins and minerals will now be a permanent part of my supplement course. Thank you very much.
You wouldn't believe it - less than two weeks ago, I got vertigo. Almost fell off the bed. Gave it a couple of days, was intermittent but didn't get better. Went to Doc after a few days, says it's prob caused by a molar infection I'm waiting to get sorted and the crystals, etc. He gives me a document for the exercises and a script for antibiotics in case it doesn't get better. Didn't fill it as I dont like AB. I always take K2 and Magnesium, but I started taking Vit D as I know it aids K2 and my tooth was hurting. 24 hours later no vertigo and no tooth pain. Days later, Dr Berg's video telling me to do just that. Crazy.
Thank you for this. I have vertigo when anxious.
My wife is facing this problem quite often and I was looking for some information about it to be able to help her, thanks a lot for this video Dr. Berg!
Thank you, Team Berg! Useful information.
I purchased a new riding mower, first time I used it I was going too fast and bouncing around in my back yard that has some rough places. That night I had an episode of vertigo really bad in the middle of the night.... sooo weird. Found the epley maneuver on you tube and it worked wonders. Did it every day for a week, not problems since.
I watched your first video on taking these vitamins to help with vertigo. It’s changed my life, it hasn’t gone completely but a bit of vertigo is much better than a lot of vertigo. I was almost housebound at one stage and feeling ill all the time. Thank you so much, I am so grateful. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🤞
Awesome! Never heard of this! Great share!
Thanx for fulfilling my request Doc .. help appreciated ❤🙏
Wow, wish I had this information in 2005. Suffered severely for almost 18 months ( then occasionally for years afterwards & about once a year now), went from doctor to doctor to specialist. Finally told about the calcium crystals, given exercises & that's it. Ridiculous to have suffered so long, when there is this simple remedy. Of course, now I have severe osteoporosis, my life could of been completely different ( for the last 19 years ), with this knowledge.
Thank you so much for this information, now I feel like life can begin again.
Dr Berg has my house bugged. This is the second video this week that applies to me directly.
My aunt is having vertigo problems. Im going to get this video to her.
Thank you. God bless you.
Amazing for explanation Dr berg very appreciated❤❤❤
I just got rid of my vertigo with the Epley maneuver and got rid of it. But, this info is so valuable to try to prevent another one. Thanks Dr Berg.
Thank you very much for your explanation of this condition!
Thank you and good morning!
I'm a huge sufferer of vertigo, every now and then I get dizzy, I'm 28 and I started doing excessive yoga a lot 3 years back, and I believe yoga triggered my vertigo. Whenever I bend my vertigo increases. I have stopped beding now. I will follow your advice.
Thank you! I suffer from this and so happy you have shared this very important video. Thank you, thank you thank you.
Thank you so much Dr Berg! After taking your advice of upping my vitamin D and K2 i haven’t har any more vertigo issues!
Thanks! Also vitamin C, vitamin K2 as transport for Calcium
Thank you! I’ve been having some
Bouts of this keeping me out of work. Definitely trying this.
For me, had this once a few years back. I felt a high in the head pressure a few days before and then BAM. It went away after 3 days. Very bizarre, but that's my story.
Cool story bro 🤔
Well that is interesting. I get mild/vague vertigo every year in late November and it usually is gone by Jan-Feb. Less outside time, less sun = less Vit D. Note to self to try this in the fall.
Acupuncture treatment and prolonged fasting really helped me.
Hi, can you share more about your experience?
Wow. I have a weird sesnsation when driving fast, not exactly vertigo, not exactly dizzy, but in the same genre. Will try vit d and k3 and magnesium. Thankyou. Your videos are improving so many lives.
Dr. Berg is unique in his explanations and illustrations. Great!
Wow!!!!!! Dr Berg thank you. Several years ago I had some bad falls, concussions. My hearing slowly has been getting worse. All I am told just getting older and hearing starting to go. But when I drive past certain streets, inclines, they open up perfectly and then passing thru they close up again. I actually know my eardrums couldn't do that if they were going. If I yawn, they open up during the yawn then close up again. I see a chiropractor and it does help temporarily then returns. Nobody seems to know this possibility. Anxious to prove my point. Thanks again.
Thank you Dr. Berg. I had this problem in my 30s and I was told to take gravol for nausea, as for dizziness, they said you can't do anything about it, you are aging, until one young Dr. taught me the excersise. As for vitemin D, I learned since it helps in absorbing calcium, the smallest amount of food with calcium turned it into excess of calcium in wrong place like middle ears and then further but I didnot know about vitemin K2 that helps to divert this excess calcium back to bones until I learned that through your helpful videos last year. Thank you for this life altering info.
Love your videos. Very helpful.
I'm so glad they help!

Glad you like the info shared here. Thanks for watching.
I had dizzy spells my entire life. I wouldn’t be able to get out of bed or even change positions of my head because it’d trigger the dizziness. I started taking vitamins, the same mentioned in the video and I haven’t had the issue in a long time.
Thank you Dr Berg for sharing another great video. May God blessed you and your family!

Interesting! I’ve been living with bppv for the last 12 years, also labyrinthitis and vertigo. My otoconias in the left ear go crazy, specially at night if i turn my head to that side. Epley manouver helps a lot, but now i’ll start taking these vitamins and hopefully it’ll get better. Thank you Dr.
Epley maneuver worked for me. A physical therapist performed it when I was suffering from vertigo. Worked like a charm
Than k you Dr. Berg, great content!
Perfect as always. I appreciate you, Dear Dr. Berg.
Thanks for having my back!
Thanks for everything you do, Dr Berg ❤🌞
He's incredible!
My pleasure!
Dr Berg it's like you're in my head! I've had issues with this recently - it's horrendous!! Even though I take a high dose of Vit D3, I'm guessing it just may not be enough for me. I'll be experimenting! And watching these other videos you're recommending. You rock, Dr Berg. Keep doing what you're doing!!!
I was a house painter for 20 years. The last 5 I started having vertigo attacks that lasted 3 days on average. Made it real difficult to be 20 ft up on a ladder when the world would spin everytime I looked up
I know what you mean about the lightening bugs. Here in east Texas we used to have them by the thousands. Then...when my daughter was about 8 years old (she is 32 now) I showed her one. It was the first time I had seen them in many years. I have seen them in recent years but it is inconsistent. I thought maybe it was fire ants that made them disappear. If they to lay eggs in leaves I still wonder if that may also be a factor.
Great garden video. You inspire me to do more growing in pots.
Dr. Berg u go your videos are always so useful and informative. Thank you.
Glad to hear that! Thanks for watching!
Very informative video. Everything you explain, make sense! Thanks
Glad you find the video informative. Thanks for watching!
I had 3 episodes of vertigo in one year. Each 6 months apart. I had the epley manuever each time but then I found Dr Berg and his videos on vertigo. I’ve been taking his vit d3 k2 and magnesium since my last episode in July 2023 and have had no issues since. Thank you Dr Berg
Informative, Dr berg you discuss All the problems of health wow.

Thank you so much! I saw your other video and told my mom, she has been taking the vitamin D3 and k2 and feels great now! No doctors were able to help for months. Thank you so much!
Don’t forget the magnesium.
I acidentally discovered that my vertigo was due to not drinking enough water. I was on medication for this issue for years. Then when i drank a lot of water as advised by the doctor when i developed kidney stones, the kidney stones as well as the vetigo disappeared. After many years i still do not get vertigo. Initially i tried doing the exercises for the problem but the relieve was only temporary. So pleased. 😊
Thanks for sharing your experience!
I've been a lil dizzy off & on, feeling off balance, ringing in the ears, no throwing up, my E.n.t cleaned some wax out my ears, he said i had a tiny pinch of hearing loss, i had been to 2 non emergency rooms last year & this year for the dizziness & off balance they both said U.t.I & one said no vertigo, why don't these medical facilities do thorough testing, they check one area & tell you keep an eye on it, you feel lost out here, lord thank you for Dr Berg & others helping us out, why have all these Dr's in your community & they aren't any help
I've had this for many years! It's not as bad as it was a 1st. I'd be sick at least 3 2-3 days straight with each episode! Went to physical therapy to get the maneuver & eye exercises done. It helped but it never completely stopped. I have been taking your vit D/K & also just bought magnesium! So I'm on the right tract. It's HORRIBLE when I get dizzy & nausea for days & can't function! So hope this helps. Thank you Dr Berg
Great explanation!
Hey thanks! Appreciate that.

Thank you so much for another great and beneficial information. God bless you!🙏❤️🌹
No problem. Have a nice day!
Thank you for this information. It is so important to know this. Sometimes I do have vertigo.
You're welcome! I'm glad you found the information helpful, especially since you also experience vertigo. Wishing you all the best!
Recently had to go to the emergency room for severe vertigo. I am vitamin D deficient and take 50,000 every two weeks. I had never had this happen before. Made me very sick when it happened. Thank you for sharing this information. I will get magnesium and K2 to take with my vit. D.
Once I had that and luckily when I went to the doctor (I live in Europe) they made me do a few movements and quickly realised it's this issue. After that, they did those similar movements shown at the end and fixed my vertigo in the moment.
Thank you so much Doctor Berg. Your advice is great and excellent explanation ❤
You're welcome! I'm glad you find the advice helpful.
This was me!!!! For 2 years!! I researched and found the same thing... Thanks Dr. B!
Wow. What timing. I have this exact condition now. Started yesterday. Thank you.
I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing this condition, but I'm glad the timing of the information could be helpful for you.
@@Drberg After watching your video last night, I went downstairs and took your recommended amount of Vitamin D , K2 and Magnesium before bedtime. I’m happy to say, your advice worked. Thank you! I feel much better now.
Thank God for you Dr Berg! I have had BPPV for 7 years! I have learned to always be aware of my head movements etc, but it’s so limiting, and I’m not able to do a lot of things I normally love to do. I am a line dancer and clog dancer, and I miss class a lot due to this problem. I can’t even go to a salon and lean back in the shampoo bowl ugh. And sex is well, practically nonexistent! This is a curse! I am going to try what you suggested. I have been taking vit d3 6000 iu and k2 daily, as well as 250 mg magnesium at night for a couple of weeks now. Is it ok to take 10,000 iu daily of d3 instead of taking 50,000 iu all at once? That just seems like an awful lot. Also, do I need more magnesium? I really hope this helps!!
Super helpful video Dr Berg.. 🤩 Thank you
You're so welcome!
This condition runs in my family. It’s horrible!! Thank you 🙏🏼 This really helps.
You're absolutely welcome!
Hey Doc!
Please make a video on sensory nerual hearing loss and natural ways to manage it so it wont be worse.
Wow I’m glad you made a video on this. I’m 21 and this happened to me around October 2023. It’s an extremely extremely scary feeling at first if you’ve never experienced this. Basically this happens if you switch sleeping positions very very often left to right. I woke up one day as I usually do and everything was tilting im being dead serious. I said eh maybe I just need to sleep more maybe I’m daydreaming. So I went back to sleep, 2 hours later woke up still seeing everything around me extremely tilting left to right nonstop it almost seems like I’m lying to anyone reading this. Anyways not only that but you have the urge to vomit every minute you’re walking as well or moving your body. I got scared I had a tumor or something but no. The cure is to simply vomit if you feel like you have to and to rest but make sure your head is facing one direction on the bed for a while. The dizziness will go away in a few days. I wouldn’t wish vertigo on my worst enemy
I have this problem and I do the exercises, but I didn't know about the vitamins. Thanks again Dr. Berg for saving the day : )
No problem. Glad to share this info.
Thank you, I can personally use this information.
Hopefully that helps you.
This can happen alot after a car accidents or falls etc or trauma . Jfyi
I had this exact problem and went to an ENT. He did not ever discuss dissolving these crystals. He said they needed to be placed back in the area where they are supposed to be. He did a procedure called the Epley Maneuver and it resolved my vertigo completely. It has returned a few times over the years and I simply go to the ENT’s physical therapists and they do the procedure, and the vertigo ends. This was my experience in treating this condition.
Thanks for the information. I did have vertigo but didn't really know the cause.
Glad you found the information helpful!
We just appreciate your work so much!
Great info but............every time you do a vertigo simulation it sends me into vertigo. Please give a warning.
This is very true for me, as I used to have vertigo occasionally up till when my vitamin D3 supplement dosage went up from 400 iu towards 5000 iu. Around that time no more head spinnings.. Now I have also included K2 after learning the information form this channel too.
5000 iu daily ??
Your could consider 10000 for treatment and step down to 5000 for maintenance afterwards
I have Vertigo. Thanks for sharing 👍🏽 ❤
