Ryu became the new Gouken.
It's crazy how no one realizes that Capcom basically gave us a glimpse of how Gouken and Akuma became the masters they are today following two different paths by telling it Through Ryu himself..
Ryu is a reflection of Gouken and akuma..
In the main canon storyline Ryu follows the path of mu no ken similar to gouken,while evil ryu his dark hado counterpart,is a what if character used to show Ryu following in the same path as Akuma,if he was to submit to the Satsui No hado fully
Ryu is the New Gouken and Akuma based on the path he chooses as a warrior

I wish there was more dialogue. The MC wanting to help his friend and get stronger is the point of this story.
Amazing how Sagat has a pet Tiger named Willa Maiu in Street Fighter V while in 6 Marisa has a Lion named Lucius.
I feel the cut scene is too little, was expecting more, but gotta admit, the Game is awesome and the potential is endless

Nothing new about created characters.
You know, the cutscene the custom char story is incredible. Most of the time i saw the custom char story are more OP or like “The chosen one.” I’m glad that Capcom goes to like ‘You are in the training by the best’.
This isnt even a story. Its just the dude walking around learning skills. And they don't talk.... MK11 was a dang saga, and this is like sock puppets or something

There was barely a story because the game was too focused on introducing/re-introducing characters than actually telling a story

I like that this mode have some "Final Fight" vibes, its like a crossover over of these two franchises Street fighter and Final Fight.

So far Ryu, Chun-li, Kimberly and E. Honda's endings are my favorite. Good to see the world of Street Fighter after Bison's defeat. I miss the other characters from Street Fighter like Sean or Guy, or some of the cast from Street Fighter 3 like Makoto

Ryu’s is just the best, it actually shows how this character has involved from being a student to a sensei who takes after his master Gouken, very excited for akuma next year.
I just love how Capcom is too cheap to pay for full voice dialogue 🙄
The main character Is basically an avatar, so make him voiceless its to help to be inmersive

Maybe it’s just me, but I feel that our technology is past the age of characters lacking an in-depth history and the communicative skills of a 6 month old.
It's not just hum not having a voice but it looks like his/her graphics and movement are also a bit weird compared to other characters

I like jp design he has bisons hat logo on his sholder cloke,his fighting style and overall astetic reminds me of count dooku,regal almost like royalty that does fencing.

There’s a prequel comic that explains everything. And from what I’ve heard, JP was indeed behind the whole thing.

I like the approach they took for street fighter 6 it’s like a anime or something, but with participation.
I miss Ryu's design as a red haired person. Another thing that somewhat bothers me is the fact I don't understand if the Satsuino Rado stops someone's aging or not.
One more thing, it was said by Rose back in "Alpha" that something was wrong with Gai's mind. Why was that never developed ?

I have no idea how much time has past since the events of the last game story, but things are defnetly begiining anew. From this "Naydhall event" to this spirit being similar to the "killing intent". Hopefully DLC will explain more.

My main gripe… who tf is Luke?! Right now, there’s nothing about this character that says it’s worthy of being the main protagonist. Capcom just threw Luke in our face, it’s really giving of Alex vibes i.e. one dimensional and boring design.
Luke is a waaay better character than Alex. You should read the prequel comic

@@YukiColburn They did throw Luke in our faces. The question of "who is Luke" questions his significance in the Street Fighter lore, not when was he introduced as a character. Almost everyone knows Luke was SFV dlc but that doesn't answer who he is. We know who Ryu is not because he was introduced in the original street fighter but because he actually has a deep lore spanning decades that told us who he is. His relationship with Ken, his struggles within himself, things that define his significance.
Luke? Sure he has a comic but Capcom's choice to make Luke the main protag of Street Fighter came outta nowhere and that was well before the comic.

Alex was Capcom Japan's first attempt to replace Ryu because they thought they could appeal to us God n country, stars n stripes lovin' westerners with a more "American" style character. They are doing the same thing with Luke right now because they are culturally inept. Remember how they discussed their process for desigining Guile and Kimberly? (white americans have big arms? black people are lean and athletic? their words..) There were racial undertones involved - though innocently so, not malicious at all - but the importance of this is to show that they have ZERO clue what we western gamers are truly interested in.
@@hugejackedman3447 I suppose those are some fair points, although I do wonder if Luke is REALLY the new main protagonist of the series, given SF6 did not leave this clear.
I do however like Luke's pre-established connections though, it's far more than what was done for Alex.

I was curious after watching MK1's story, but I couldn't even make it through a half an hour. This is like some goofy ass fever dream.
SF6 story and cutscenes made KoF XV story and cutscenes look like a cult classic. Still the combat and gameplay of SF6 is great nonetheless, they just need to do better next time.

I think arcade ladder is where you go through each characters individual story and then get a cutscene ending

It is horrible. It looks like I'm watching a bunch of 3D dolls trying to keep it up pace, they pause too much. I still love SF4 animes, it was hella more rewarding and interesting. Poison's ending for the win, best ending ever.
