I love the weird paths people's live take - I was an economist and bank analyst for awhile after college then ended up going back to school for a chemistry doctorate and now I work in process engineering.
WTF dude! When I did my undergrad in biology I interned several times by Monterrey counting sea lions. I didn't pursue marine biology either in order to go into MI analysis for the Army. 2 marine bio dudes going to work for the federal government for totally unrelated subjects, who also enjoy a niche deckbuilding game... freaky. btw my favorite aquarium is the one run by the Point Defiance Zoo over by Seattle. They had (I haven't been there in 15 years so I don't know if they still do) a huge cylindrical kelp forest tank which you experience from below. Beautiful experience to look up into the sky with all the silhouettes of all those species circling above you. Lingcod, greenlings, rockfish etc.
i think bogfly is one of the most slept on cards. like, you never go out of your way to draft them, but if they end up in your opener your first 3 stages are solved.
I recently went to the Georgia aquarium in Atlanta, and it's a very different style than Monterey Bay, but it was the only one I've been to that could compete. The ocean tank is one of the largest in the world, which allows them to keep whale sharks and manta rays, which were absolutely amazing to see. I'm not sure if it's better than Monterey Bay overall, but it's the second-best one in the US, I think.
The National Aquarium in Baltimore is pretty great. I don't really have much to compare it to in the objective sense (I went down the dirt science path instead of the water science one), but the upland rainforest and atlantic coral reef exhibits never failed to deliver.
I would have infused shardsoul carver into shardsoul carver and made ascend[intrinsic, -1cost] in order for main unit and prince to be able to be summoned at 3F
A) wanted to be a marine biologist myself! Couldn't get any grants or anything though, working my way into a naturalist job. B) FISH THOUGHTS! What are your thoughts on the Hadal Snailfish? They're so cool to me! I hope you've seen them, Dusk, and if not: look em up!
I dont think you mentioned why you chose space over the water. In a way, they are kinda similiar in the fact that they are great expanses that are largely unexplored. I changed majors 3 times in college and did not even pursue what I liked at the time: science. Pursue your passions folks.
@@RisingDusk That's cool bc you would have to change your description to water scientist instead of rocket scientist which would not be that impressive :)
Quite the career change. From studying fish to making space rockets.
I haven't seen you this scared of a run in a while
What a cursed seed lmao.
When monster train wants u to carve the shards out of many souls

Yeah, it's pretty wild how divergent things can be haha.
Lemme grab my popcorn, time for epicness

World is a small place, it seems! That's really cool, though. I'll have to check the aquarium out next time I am in Seattle!
Dante with alpha fiend (ring 4) would be great scaling! One of my favorite Dante infusions
What a fun run to watch

Yeah, they're actually really nice to have in your opener, and are low cost to keep around into the late-game.

Having a whale shark goes absolutely hard, though. Monterey Bay has had manta rays in the past, but only has pacific rays right now.

Oh I've been to that one! I am a big fan, actually.

Those are the guys without scales! They're extremely cool, and have always reminded me of axolotls.
National Oceanic Atmospheric..... something? Lol
Good guess! National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

The choice was very happenstance. I actually just really liked the college more for the aerospace program, haha. But yeah, it ended up great I think.

Thread for guessing what NOAA means without googling

I guess National oceanic analysts of America.
Pretty close, honestly.
