Classic Golden Era Hi-Fi Clubsound. Remember losing all perception of time and space for a whole night? Speakers like this certainly played a huge role in that!
How do these stand up to most of the speakers you have demoed? They are really cheap but tbh looking at the weight and hearing the sound they should be really good?
In the USA we had a company named Cerwin Vega! They made speakers with 15 inch woofers for about $800 a pair from 1970s to 1990s. Then they sold off to China and the quality went down the tubes. They were loved by rock and rollers but despised by "audiophiles" I kinda think these Transpuls are going to fit that market. I think they look great for their price and most likely will enable rock n rollers to get into audio gear that they will love at a price that kids can afford. The industry needs kids. I wish it had a different tweeter that could be upgraded. The hole for that tweeter turns me off. I would love to have a pair but would want tweeter options.

I hope they do some upgrades to offer higher end features for those of us that love the sound of big woofers over the sound of smaller woofers in tower boxes. I still don't like the looks of that tweeter. It's gimicky and looks of the horn shape will harm imaging
@@mikeables Agree. IMHO a small tweeter design adjustment would make these boxes impossible to beat (value for money)! It also sounds like that off-axis placement is quite bad, at least from what I can hear from this recording when mic is moving across the room in front of a speakers?!
Hi Mike!Magnat is a traditional loudspeaker company from the '50s.They made very good things, highlight the "all ribbon" and "vintage" series.Its "brother company" the Heco, also made loudspreakers from the' 50s..In our days the Heco is the premium line, but facturing also bottom and cheap line.Not known in Usa and I know that not exporting to Your country. You're right with the CV's, great company and loudspeakers but today also chinese.. I love vintage goods like old CV, old JBL, and I had Wega Disco 1 from 1979..15" woofer, high sense, for loud music and wallbreaking energy was perfect 😉 Best regards Peter from Hungary.
@@panblue43 Wow! I have heard the Disco 1. That speaker was shown to me by a military friend who brought it back from Germany. He had it connected to a shitty lil Sony (micro) stereo and they sounded fantastic. I think the sensitivity must be off the charts because that Sony stereo was 100 watts only turned up 1/4 volume and we were at dance level volumes in the room. Good memories! grin

What a waste. You are much better off with the smaller Transpuls 1000 models, there they give you right away a separate left and right side speaker. Now, for listening to stuff in 1.0 mono, the Transpuls 1500 is just fine.

The speaker should not be indentified by the location of drivers on the baffle. If one can identify the tweeter on the left or right side then either he is sitting to close to the speaker. The ideal speaker should have the sound whether the bass, mid high in unison from the front baffle. It should act one source point. Therefore the sound should come out as unison from the front baffle of the 1500 and there is no need being a left or right speaker. It should not be a different between the two. But for picky buyers magnat should come out with a mirror pair.
I am not surprised that your neighbours will congratulate you on the new sound system. Briefly they would remind you to turn the volume a bit down because their baby need to sleep eventhough they have no babies at home.

@@jazd1621 Mach 2 very underrated loudspeaker. Scale, bass dynamics and detail were so controlled. Only thing that gets them is foam rot. Get that done and good as new. Maybe recap the crossovers. Regret selling mine.
I have listened 1500 this morning in HiFi shop near my home ......wow! Great live sound!!! And very good also with jazz and pop. I thought they were "party speakers" and It Is not so. The problem Is......they are giant!!!!! So, i've ordered 1000, same sound but acceptable dimensions
@@truthful3777 I listened to the 1500s in the shop and they were perhaps a little more "live" than the 1000s. The "little ones" in my opinion are more contained both at the top and at the bottom, which for me is only an advantage. Voices depend a lot on the upstream registration, so if they are "open" they will be highlighted, otherwise they tend to fall a little further back. For just over 700 euros, they are a miracle. Value for money at the highest levels.

No, you would not want too do that, and they only have one pair of binding posts, so you would have to do some modifications to the crossover. These are not that kind of speaker anyway, they are very efficient, it does not take much power to get the most out of them. These are old school speakers, lamp cord and the Radio Shack Realistic stereo you picked up at the garage sale. That is what these are, and that is not a put down either, far from it. That sound is etched in my memory from my youth. BIG speakers rock, and these are affordable, and to my ear, sound darn near as good as the current Klipsch and JBL offerings that are three times the price. If you are a bit creative, I would tear into the crossover and replace with better parts. Not reengineer it, just upgrade the board with better quality bits. Do that, and I believe these would be a killer pair of speakers, well they already are from what I have seen and heard. Just give it a bump up in SQ.
Like Tom said, if you want it for home theatre and you have a screen, get 3 of them and put them behind the screen. Horizontal Centre Channels are not good unless you sit in the sweet spot.
Ah yes, I understand now, through the camera-microhone, RUclips, and my 100 Euro headphone amplifier and very particular headphones. ;P But cool. - I'm considering speakers in this style, but I'm not entire sure if it's too much or will work for all the different music I like. I mean, I go from Classical to Metal and Folk to Electronic and everything in between. - I just want one set of stereo-speakers that kinda covers everything.

These Transpuls 1500s shown are both the RIGHT SIDE version, with the dual tweeter assembly situated to the right of the midrange. So for a stereo pair, we would need to get the complete matching pair -- one RIGHT SIDE version and the other one being the LEFT SIDE model, with the twin tweeters being to the left of the midrange driver. Here in this demo, you have two RIGHT SIDE versions of the 1500 and no LEFT SIDE version. What!? So your stereo soundscape is going to be quite off. With the smaller TRANSPULS 1000 speakers, you in fact do have separate models for the LEFT SIDE and the RIGHT SIDE. But for the TRANSPULS 1500, I only see one model, the RIGHT SIDE model even listed on the Magnat product page. You are using two of them here, in both the tweeter assembly is on the right. There must or should be a dedicated LEFT SIDE version of the TRANSPULS 1500 with the tweeter being on the far left side, as it is in the TRANSPULS 1000 LEFT. If there isn't, the 1500 should be only used in mono for best results. Not in stereophonic with the proper left-to-right panorama. That would be a huge loss, really, as these babies look quite good. Rather strange brew from Magnat. At least they corrected this omission with the TRANSPULS 1000 -- with those, you do get a dedicated LEFT and separate RIGHT side speaker. Oh well, there is always something to spoil the fun, isn't there?

They are great speakers . Very loud and clear. Bass is very good. Wall of sound!
The best thing about high efficiency speakers is that they sound very live concert sounding! Best for rock and metal imo.

They are way better than Cerwin Vega,no comparison. I could say that they are a sort of cheap JBL (the monitor series)

Rather strange brew from Magnat. At least they corrected this omission with the TRANSPULS 1000 -- with those, you do get a dedicated LEFT and separate RIGHT side speaker. Oh well, there is always something to spoil the fun, isn't there?
I checked out other youtubers with this speaker, and they have only the "the right side" version too
No, the Transpuls 1500 only exist in this version, and it doesn't matter in any way.
