After listening to this compressed by your recording device... And doubly compressed by RUclips... Then reproduced on my phone's tiny speakers... I feel like I can really appreciate this.
I wish the Accuphase in the States is not 2.5x the price in Japan. The E-650 in Japan new is 7381USD (803,000 yen), but a new E-650 in US from proper dealership and distributor (Axis) are now 19,000USD each. I ended up getting a Luxman L590AXII instead (which is 8,950USD, still quite a bit more expensive than in Japan).
Same as in Australia . I take my family 2 weeks holiday in japan and come home to Melbourne with the Accuphase . The whole trip and the amp cost the same if I buy it in Melbourne . For example last trip to japan 2022 I bought my Koetsu cartridge for $7500 in Chiba Tokyo shop and in Melbourne is 16,000 -$18,000 .

i have some bigger tannoys from the 70´s with those amplifiers from Exclusive series from Pioneer and it´s pre and a P3 turntable ,also a bit diference in time i bought power amplifier from accuphase by Carver conected to a Phase Linear pre-amp. (4000, not sure)also a akai reel to reel, is it worth spending more money in this more recent tannoys allthough mine have biger woofer and more possible conections to diferent spectrum curves in what concerns to sound(and restored recentelly ,one can walk inside if the woofer is out) . It´s a really nice system allthough i don´t know how modern accuphase sounds like ,it used to be very good and expensive
Me I like the Tannoy D700s but they don't know what music to play like Depeche Mode Steely Dan progressive jazz fusion like the best drummer in the world mr Dave Weckl they don't know about music alot
