This is awesome racing for a lot of reasons one of the big reasons is the fact that there is such a mixed bunch of cars with many deferent modifications, it reminds me of the top classes that raced in South Africa in the 80s and 90s it was some of the best racing I have ever experienced. 👌🏻🏁
makes me sad to see an RX7 shell without a hiroshima screamer under the hood 😥. At least there was some rotary noise ...... from a Fiat. Good racing lads 👍
This actually reminds me alot of racing here at home. Ive seen alot of fds and rx8s run sr20s and even 3sgtes. No doubt a rotary might be the better option but maybe its a budget thing. All in all that was some epic racing
Yeah, we believe the SR20 is the option for a strong motor that can consistently provide the result the team is looking for when it comes to the compromise of performance & maintenance. Still, both very cool cars.
Both cars are epic!! SR20 in an RX7?? I've seen this car in other videos and I know how far back the SR is sitting in the chassis, why the hell would you not go 3 rotor??? Weighs less, marginally shorter, more powerful and PURITY. PURITY AND SOUND!!!!
That Mazda looks so unsettled under braking the rear-end is hopping all over the place like a pogo stick. I wonder why they haven't addressed the suspension issues back there? It also looks unsettled on hard turn ins as well. Strange to see considering the vehicle is so low to the ground maybe the suspension is a little on the stiff side and needs more play? Hmm who knows.
Hang on, I've got a great idea.... Why not take one of the best 90s sports cars, rip out the beautiful sounding, race proven motor and replace it with an inherently flawed four pot that sounds like a dingo farting into a pedal bin? Just trolling. 😋
When you change your 13B to a "better" engine, and then a 13B beats you.

The rx7 retired from the race due to engine issues and the fiat went on to win by over 25 seconds
I was wondering why he put a grenade under his hood
It makes sense since it's the sr20 engine, happens in competitive drifting too
If the rotary is a high end build with the tricks and ceramic seals. Its gonna be the more reliable engine all day long.

Great racing. Should have just kept the FD rotary.
The yellow car is regretting his choice 😂😂

Not sure I would consider an SR20 a strong motor. You'd think Honda K-series would be a better choice these days.
Rotary everything🔥🔥😎🤙
Great track Eastern Creek. Never take a rotor out of an RX.
Got to love the rules in this class. Wide variety of evenly matched cars. With crazy modifications. Wish we had something like this in the state's.
Damnnn, that turn 2 was unreal.
you mean here? 0:16
EPIC! Two abreast thru turn 1 here takes some reasonable size kahunas!
Hell yes it does 😳
kahunas
Awesome clean racing👌👏👏👏👏👏
Except for the 2nd turn
FIAT 124 Sport Coupe ftw
FD最高にカッコいい!
Way better than Formula one, including the engine sounds of course
Both cars are epic!!

Everyone has their taste and opinion. His car, his build, his decision.
Reliability or torque maybe
@@sylasvanvlack maybe he wants to know exactly why
The sr20 is the engine that was in the later models of the 200sx, right?

That's Real racing
We have to agree!
Can't wait to see more between these two in 2022.
so ironic... RX7 beaten by its own engine on another car
Imo, a PP 3 rotor may have been better. The irony in this race is speaking loud for the fiat lol
bloody boat anchors couldnt keep up
SR20DET POWAH
Is the fiat Fwd or Rwd?
Rear Wheel Drive in the FIAT.
@@BlendLineTV s2000 transmission then
Wow
It’s 2021, why the hell are people still pretending SR20s are good for anything beyond being used as boat anchors?
Sounds like someone is mad they got gapped by a 30yo engine.
Sr20 is a very stout engine for a 4 cylinder over a 1,000 horsepower with some examples these days
I thought the Fiat was a 20B
ye, i remember that too
It used to be

The sr20 is not a std the engine is bullet aluminum.
Billet?
