What I learned from watching different race series, that the more professional it get, the more boring are the races, smaller race series whit tuned street cars, are much more entertaining.. Nice race, beautiful cars

Today the most popular races are tube cars whit carbon skin... That's boring in my opinion.. If u like f1 then good for u, I don't watch that stuff anymore, whit all these boring rules.. And flipping spoiler and what else.. I like real motorsports, whit clutch stickshift and so on...

in South Africa it was called the Modified Saloons. all Manufacturers, all type of Cars, all type of Engines. great noises, great Racing. totally destroyed and abandoned for Touring Cars and same Car Formulas.
With the right exhaust setup, the V8 can be louder. Old gen 4 NASCAR stock cars scream like F1 cars back then even when turning at 6800 rpm. Or maybe that's just unique to NASCAR V8s, idk.
Yes!! Always great to see the FD body! She's been slightly massaged, but still one of the sexiest cars to go around a race track. Not to mention the sound!! Doritos for the win!!! :-)
That Alfa has been around for a very long time. I recall seeing it dominating in the sports sedan series at support races for Gold Coast Indy more than 20 years ago.

Yea, I’m pretty sure the Alfa being used is known as the alfetta gtv and it’s been around since around 1976. That is when my grandfather bought his and I’m now working on restoring it.

Alfas are fast, Im so glad I had the chance to own 155 twin spark 2.0 150hp but man the way this car was able to accelerate it felt like it had 250hp, it was reving up so fast.
I wonder if the 155 TS had better gearing then? Because I used to own a GTV TS and that thing was sloooow! The gearing was too tall for the engine. I fixed that issue by swapping the TS for a heavily modified 440 bhp engine from a Fiat Coupe 16V Turbo :D
what a beautiful piece of art and styling the Gen 3 RX7 is. when the video stops the in-car shots, and shows multiple cars racing, one realizes how gorgeous the Mazda is compared to plain vanilla other models
Hard to believe the 3rd gen fd is 30 years old now. Still such a gorgeous car. I had a '93r1 but had to let it go because the tt rotary was just too expensive for me to maintain much longer. But I do miss driving her 😭

look up "faceplate" or "dogbox" transmissions basically they remove the synchro block rings and weld on big meshing teeth which allows you to just slam into the next gear up or down no clutch need (in most trans)
Well they are a long way from stock standard. Only the shape is common to the road cars. The cars are full fabricated race chassis and run indycar and sportscar / canam type transaxles, carbon fibre and fibreglass panels etc. The are truly high dollar racing cars.

MORE PLEASE MUCH MUCH MORE! Question, where's the silver Centerline Suspension FC RX7 these days? I know he was mucking around early 2020 with some custom made velocity stacks to squeeze every last pony from that screaming 20BPP but am yet to see it at any of the SS rounds this year? Although only 400HP that thing is usually racing for podiums against that Audi and Alfa we just saw. Im a boost addict i cant deny it, but the Naturally Aspirated 20B dare i say it, is far less of a handful for the driver, easier to race, more traction, and is normally on the podium every round and has many long standing lap records to prove its worth.
@@ferrarikingdom sure, but these are race engines not the cars that are taken out on Sundays for a drive around the block. Reliability is important. 500hp is reliable in a race.
I currently use a 20B in my RX8 with help from JDM Industries, Rotary Hub, Apex Central. On 20 pounds of boost she dynos at 682 at the wheels. This is by no means an insane tune- it’s a conservative tune so I’m not filling up every time I drive it. Max I’ve seen is 35 pounds of boost @20B and about 918 whp. But the apex seals, shims, iron seals don’t last that long at that amount of boost and power. Unless you get the expensive stuff. Billet irons, have them machined etc.

@@MiguelMedV Sure, no problem. - The category we race in and that the car was built for is called Sports Sedans here in Aus. - The car is a space frame chassis with a fibreglass body... built from scratch by my father and I. There are only a few genuine Mazda parts left in it, the rest is hand built. - Cost to compete in Sports Sedans varies depending on a range of factors. Competitors budgets would differ vastly depending on running gear, type of car construction etc. - As the car was built to the Australian Sports Sedan regulations, i'm not sure if it would fit in an overseas category. I envisage the cost of such an endeavor would be prohibitive for us though so no plans to race outside of Aus at the moment.
