Amazing video! I can say this is 100% true. Our family business pays zero ads but instead post daily on all main platforms and we drive our sales from there. Your channel has been a massive help for us
Thats amazing, always happy to help!
Amazing content, thank you. Started my dog a tiktok 3 months ago, quit my job to make shop affiliate videos for companies and doubled my income in a few months. It all made sense because they are putting ads on my organic content getting 5m+ views and converting like crazy, versus paying for a high end ad people skip. Already started doing social media consulting for a few businesses in the area, I’m guessing I’ll be in one of your courses soon after just seeing this video and never seeing any other content you’ve made 🙌
I really enjoyed this! Keep up the amazing work!
Super insightful! 2025 is looking like a game-changer for digital marketing!
Another great value video from Wes! You're my go-to guy for marketing! Blessings!
I appreciate that Susan!
You're not wrong... but you're not right either. It's not one or the other. Both high-end produced ads and video marketing carries as much weight as informatioal/educational content. They simply serve 2 different purposes. The typical video commercial or "flashy edits" serve as brand awareness. They've never been for direct purchase intent. Not using both as part of your video marketing strategy is going to be detrimental in the long run -- I work with massive ad/marketing agencies all the time as a video producer. ALL the big companies implement both "organic" type content as well high-end production content. There is no reason why small businesses couldn't implement similar strategies themselves. Now, if you're saying -- to start off you could use educational type content until you scale to the point of having money for brand awareness content... sure... but to be black and white about it is not only ridiculous, but plain out wrong.
my audience is mostly solopreneurs, not your clients. But thx for the 2 cents!
You measure the conversion. And see wich works. Real contend beats produced ads 9 times out of then (my experience of running ads for 117 companies). The content of course used as paid ad and sales conversion measured. AND as the man said it depends who is selling and what. But measuring is the important thing. No need to argue:)
(I have done more than a million a year as personal trainer)
@@WesMcDowellInc thanks for all the effort you put into your channel😊 I really enjoy watching your videos, you set a great example for creatives
Why are you talking? 😂
Helpful insights in this video. I’m creating a chatbot and voice AI for businesses in the beauty industry.
great video as always. any suggested chatbot software?
ManyChat is quite popular on IG.
Voiceflow
I have used Voiceflow software to connect with OpenAI GPT APIs for real estate and other businesses
customgpt.ai works very well.
Do you recommend creating a newsletter outside of LinkedIn ?
I love this... Thanks for sharing this insightful tips
Ciao from Rome, Wes! 💚🤍❤️ your vids are so helpful. Grazie!
Prego! Glad to help :)
Fantastic insights, Wes! It will be interesting to see how some of the AI tools will land with audiences - the conundrum of course is that they want authenticity, but they also want personalization and immediacy. Makes it a challenging paradox for marketers, but it'll definitely be interesting to see how it all unfolds. I'm personally going for authenticity at the moment and hoping my videos (without the slick-n-fancy editing) will resonate with my audience. Keep up the great work!
Agree with you! If you have a chatbot set up the right way with the right content, then the personalization and immediacy is solved.
Yea, the cool thing is you can have both! Ai models can be trained to not SOUND like AI which can help with teh authenticity problem. play around with it!
Excellent video! Great advice. Question on the custom GPT for clients as a lead magnet - how does it work? What's the process? Where does the custom gpt live?
Excellent again Wes. Thank you. That was my point about b roll a vouple motnhs ago. I love watching the person speaking but too much b roll takes me away from the trainer. You know the ones. But subtly enhances the message.
Looks like youtube is (unfortunately) my essential go to for 25
Major companies unfortunately are only using this ai stuff because it saves them millions of dollars in paying salaries. The video ideas have been for sure heading towards the simplistic space with Gen z over the last few years because most of them don’t want to have to learn how to do all of the fancy editing. Plus with more older people coming on these platforms as creators it’s going to move in that direction faster anyways. They for sure have no clue or interest in learning how to do all of those crazy fancy edits. Great reminder video. Thanks.
Thats missing the point completely. This isn't about gen z's role as creators, its how they prefer to CONSUME content.
I did learn it, and now I notice that everyone makes those kinda videos. So I'd rather put less time in editting if it doesn't do anything anyway, and put that time into something thats worth it
@ right! the low edit content is becoming popular and it’s changing the expectations of the audience.
Wes, one thing that always comes to my mind, when I hear that ads are going to be less effective is:
Why not make ads, that are exactly the style, than for example Gen-Z wants to interact with?
After all, ads is just content, that you pay to be delivered to your target audience.
The least thing you can do is to use ads as retargeting within your brand's organic social media content.
Yes, you can absolutely do that. Cheers!
If you watch Gen-z tick tock videos, Gen-Z are throwing tantrums and boycotting the economy. I just find that interesting and am watching it closely.
how you deal with GPT constantly lying?
fact check it with perplexity.ai if you wanna be safe.
Fact check………..
Most emails accts have filters that will automatic move promotions to spam box therefore recipients wont even view it when it comes. How you fix that?
Don’t make your emails promotional. Use them to provide value instead
Thanks for the video!
You bet!
Hasn’t this been the strategy for small businesses since 2016? Like Gary Vee said back then “Give, Give, Take” as in give them value content and then sell to them.
Is that one of the strategies here?
That is exactly my thought. Nothing new here.
I was thinking the same thing, but I think the point is the emphasis is seeing a sea-change. Fb ads etc. were very high return on investment back then, something GV said wouldn't last forever, and what seems to be happening now is you HAVE to be principally organic or you're stuffed. It's not just a helpful strategy, it's necessary. It's not just SM marketing either, it's search. This small business owner's story of how she's finding AI is affecting SEO is very telling: ruclips.net/video/6_eHaU17bJQ/видео.html
Pure gold
Thanks for this video, very helpful.
I saw that clip of putting cash into the pocket first time in my life on the internet in the last 5 years of net surfing
Plz don’t be so ambitious this is a complete comprehensive hence very slow and long term. You only will successfull if you commit couple of years.
Thanks for the video!
Where do I find the prompt? Can’t find it
My mistake David! I added it to the description now.
Creating your own ai bot sounds cool, how do we do that?
Thanks!
Love the ideas. However I think there needs to be a caveat on those custom GPTs creating individualised advice especially wen it's custom workout ideas & financial advice. All I can think of is if someone doesn't proof everything (which would be easy to do if you're sending hundreds/thousands) then could you imagine if someone hurt themselves or gave advice that in turn they lost lots of $$. That would totally end up in a lawsuit or several. Sometimes shortcuts ain't all they're cracked up to be. And yes I use AI daily so I have no issue with that.
Its true, this is really more of a starting point than just take it and run with it type advice.
The O1 is only in preview and you only get to ask it a few questions even on the plus plan
Not in my experience… it’s only limited me like once after a lot of back and forth. But either way it’ll get less restrictive soon
thanks
Thank you for a pleasant presentation! Does the marketing plan tool work as well in other languages?
It should, but unfortunately chatgpt usually works best in english.
Yes, just try and see for yourself 😮
Interesting video, thanks.
Awesome
Curious to know do you provide any service?
Not anymore, just focused on my content and my courses. Cheers!
@@WesMcDowellInc If I create content on RUclips about web design and marketing, will I be able to sell both website design and marketing services at the same time?
Let's gooo
The prompt isn't in the descrition. Just so you know ;)
Thx but it sure is.
It is, " Prompt mentioned in the video:
"Please help me develop a comprehensive and fully customized marketing plan for my small business. Begin by asking me any questions you need to fully understand my business, industry, target audience, goals, and any other relevant information. Then, based on my answers, create a detailed marketing plan that includes market analysis, target audience identification, recommended marketing strategies, appropriate channels, and an implementation timeline. Off the opening scene of the brown line stop. We might be neighbors 😂
well hello neighbor!
How do you train your own ai chatbot?
You just give it all the info it needs in a document you upload to it. Some let you also train the tone (how it interacts with people)
Great video
Let’s see
Are you using free version of chatgpt?
You have to pay for those other features from what I’m aware of.
@@TriggaTreDaygot it. free version sucks. i thought maybe i do something wrong.
You're right about chatbots but you kinda skip the whole prompt engineering/architecture stuff. Yes, you can walk through openai's builder and get a half-assed naive 19 year old intern go for the bronze standard assistant. If you want your customers to not hate it, you have to do better.
Yep this isn’t a tutorial. Just an overview.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make a video on how to add hundreds, if not, thousands of keywords in ONE SINGLE PAGE/POST. It's such a mystery that nobody has been able to share.
You can’t.
Alex Hormozi has a whole team just for making videos! Not the best example
Not the point, he’s SIMPLIFIED them. You can do that without a team I think 😜
Hey Wes, I am subscribed to your channel and am doing a very NEW similar channel about using Big Business techniques to help small businesses. One aspect of my channel that I wanted to do was to "React" to videos that other creators are making in the same field and discuss aspects of their tips that I think would and wouldn't work. I would - of course - reference any videos I reacted to and give you full credit. Would you be open to me reacting to some of your videos? Please let me know. Thanks
Go for it! Technically you can do that with any video. But thx for asking :)
💜💜💜
Are these strategies not already being used already?
They’re gaining popularity
So where do content creators comes in this 2025 era?
🎉
3:20 Alex has switched back to the tik tok style of video editing :)
It looks like he's kinda added in some editing esp at the beginning which is good to keep pl from clicking off too soon. BUt most of his videos are still very scaled back from where they used to be. He's looking for that middle ground that works best for his channel which is smart. BUt the fact remains you don't need any of it when you're going for search traffic and youve got good info.
Using Alex is like using Apple-
It’s just a different level - he could do almost anything bc of his track history clout
The principle's still the same tho. He pivoted away from flashiness and it resulted in MORE business. It didnt just stay the same.
Influancers need to wake up and are chargeing alot and not perfoming at all.
Big waste of investing and long term loss.
Most of these creators we and othera see are all about short term cash not long term cash.
So they charge 2k 3k 4k and post with no effort and dont bring in sales.
Where they would make 10x more cash of they tried.
What’s this have to do with the video?
