Hello, I have been looking for a MK2 and surprisingly there are quite a few out there. Many from Japan.I have come across a nice one I found in the US from 1979 and also in beautiful condition. But of course there is no video or discussion on the unit just photos. And at $850 from my research it seems to be a good deal but with only the owner saying it's functioning pefect and some real nice photos I have to be careful.Do you sell units like the one in your video?Thank you

Hey bud thanks for inquiring and looking, well first of all, there's a few things you may need to take into consideration, you know, when it comes to purchasing a real vintage SL-1200mk2 Turntable, there are several design factors that take place, like different tone arms, housing, power transformers, etc, that's what makes them different and believe me if you don't have any experience or are knowledgeable about them you will not be able to tell and spot those characteristics, also there's plenty of people trying to sell not vintage Turntables as vintage turntables, the serial numbers have different design placings and colors as well as letters, and are hard to read if you don't know how to read them,so be careful,I do have this 1982 currently for sale and a Real 1979 for sale as well,I specialize on vintage Sl-1200mk2 and Mint Sl-1200 mk2 not necessarily vintage but mint too,if you are interested I have more pictures on my Facebook page here's the links facebook.com/380892568913659/posts/695260807476832/ facebook.com/380892568913659/posts/966965100306400/ I have them for sale on eBay,there is also a video for the 1979 here on RUclips, let me get you the link,I sell on eBay and locally as well,I've been selling Technics Turntables for 18 years all over the world,I'll get you the eBay links as well just a second,if you are really interested I can offer you a good price,Here's the 1979 video link ruclips.net/video/p2U1xqmsw40/видео.html and the eBay links www.ebay.com/itm/283715219735?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 www.ebay.com/itm/283715220050?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649

@@technicsmelancholic6289 I appreciate your reply.I do not know much about these.I have been looking for awhile now and started with a Rega PL3 BD which really sounded nice for $999 w/cart but was just too delicate for my home theater space. Then I came across a CNET review for a New Pioneer PLX1000 DD Turntable that even Audiophiles were raving about as far as sound quality. And I was almost sold until I came on YT and listened to a few comparisons between the PLX1000 and the 1200MK2 and that kinda changed my mind.Anyway I watched your videos and both TT are very nice.Went to your ebay site and realized I'M out of my price range on finding a nice one of these. And there are just too many out there and with who is honest and who to trust that all the components are original etc.I better stick with something new.
      Thank You Very Much

@@marvinmyles Hi stay away from PlX1000 do yourself a favor, there's is nothing like a Technics SL-1200MK2,the Real vintage ones are pricier than the non vintage ones,so like I've mentioned before the vintage ones are Different be careful there is no Real 1979 Technics SL-1200MK2 for $800 bucks,I can give you a $300 discount on the 1982 since you are looking for a truly vintage technics SL-1200MK2 the sound is amazing! Simply the best Turntables ever build, modern ones will not sound as good as the vintages ones ! Even modern technics ! Please be careful !

@@marvinmyles Most Modern ones are made out of plastic, not aluminum like Technics Sl-1200mk2 Modern ones are not Quartz lock and the parts are extremely low Quality ,a Vintage Technics Sl-1200mk2 it's simply a Work of Art The Quality it's outstanding and the sound has no comparison I have compared the sound with $5000 Dollars Turntables even with $25000 dollars Turntables and a The Real vintage Technics Sl-1200mk2 sounds way Better,it was meant and Build to be a Music instrument for Audiophiles and HI-FI Enthusiasts ,There is nothing like it ! please be careful ! again a Real vintage 1979 Technics Doesn't cost $800 Dollars or so !

I appreciate all the info and will not go for a PLX.That is a sweet deal on the 82 MK2 but I'M still a little over my price range with a good cartridge.Possibly save some money by not using ebay.I do not do Facebook but possibly you could PM me marvinmyles@comcast.net if you think there is a way we can work it out.
      Thank you
