I cannot believe you modeled the cloth folds. That's gonna need some high knowledge about the drapery. I still find it hard to sculpt clothes and you just modeled it.🥲🥲
Folds really just fall into categories of shapes. If you know what shape to form in which situation then folds are actually simple. If you look at 2D fold tutorials and then look at 3D real life reference, you can break down your reference into shapes and then model the shapes you see.
Also, since this video is edited, we're not sure how the person achieved those folds, they could have used a cloth deformer, curves, any number of techniques to make things easier.
I’m incredibly impressed with your dedication to your art to be able to create the model and then create an animation of you creating the model. I can see the time and love that you pour into your art. I love it.
That's what I am most impressed about, I was just looking for topology references for a new base mesh I am making and came across this. Now I wanna know how he did that timelapse.
my guess is something similar to how Sims 4 build timelapses are done- once the model is completely finished, record yourself taking it apart piece by piece, then reverse the footage (and of course a lot of manual editing goes in to give it such a clean flow)
This visual demonstration that shows the individual parts of creating a character gives me such a new perspective on how its done. Thank you for laying it out effectively
