I was watching your little by little build from the start. This one is going to be cool to watch also. That cab over pete would if been cool. But can only do one project at a time. Keep them old trucks running and stay safe on your travels with little by little.
And the work begins on the TwinStick Fleet! Congratulations Brother, let the fun begin. Looking forward to seeing all of the videos. Enjoyed the first build and look forward to seeing the next build. First truck is complete and the second will be easier with the knowledge that you've learned along the way. Enjoy, have fun and of course stay safe. I hope to eventually see you and the trucks during this build..live less than 50 miles away.
Nice score on the old Kenworth Parts especially the air cleaners. I was also hoping to see Big Dreams and empty Pockets parked between the Snowman truck and twin-stick
Careful heating wheels with a torch.... The heat can leech through the wheel and heat up the air inside the tire possibly making the tire explode. Bad day to say the least. Pull the valve cores out of the tire before you heat them up. Love what you do bother. Keep it going.
Helpful tip. If you are going to work on old iron, use a good penetrating oil a couple days before. It makes life a lot easier. Or use a torque multiplier.
Blue button was you emergency release should you need to roll to get truck fired up. All old trucks had a “RESERVE” air tank to give driver an option. I’ve restored a ‘71 KW, a ‘72’ Pete, and a ‘62 Pete. Now I’m hoping to dive in to my 1974 COE Pete! Dreams upon dreams! That dreaded disease with a “C” has slowed me down. So glad I found this channel. Much love from Idaho!!
Thanks for the video! I missed you! That KW is going to be cool,I thought for sure that Pete cabover would be in your yard. Thank you again. Hope to see you more often.
So glad to see a Twinsticks video, and Project Snowman too! Really feel for you on those rear wheels, remember edging up a tube on an "L" bar cracking wheelnuts at the roadside. Climbing up the side of the truck as the tube extended, then bouncing up and down on the setup.. Still feel the shock though my frame whe a nut finally gave.. Great video, love Project Snowman.
Damn, I am laughing my butt off right now. I literally cheered (yes, out loud) when I heard you say you got those air cleaners for five bucks (my wife looked at me kinda funny, so I had to explain).. Mind you it was like an acid flash back, when you were fighting with the wheel nuts ( I am like 20 working at a truck stop in Floods, B.C. doing tire after freaking tire in the hot August sun, Budd's and Dayton's ). Never Seize was the Nectar of the Gods, nothing rolled away from our shop without getting a healthy coating of that on the studs each and every time. We had a nut splitter for the outer nuts when they went sideways like that, that or it was "tommy the torch time". You may as well just pick up the proper inner socket to do those wheels moving forward, saves time and annoyance, trust me. I was going to bug you about having all this "lock down time" and not getting anything done.. I was beginning to think you like doing rebuilds in the clod and snow...lol Stay Safe thanks for the Share & Cheers from P.G.
What a score! As I'm drooling over everything... LOL! I'm as excited to watch you with this truck as I am with Little by Little! Thanks for keeping it going!
Need an air impact for big rigs for sure ! Most tire shops really tighten them sometimes with an impact and usually near impossible to get off by regular hand tools. Been there done that. Look forward to the finished restoration. Also a TV show from the 70's had a Kenworth like that "Movin On" with Claude Akins. Have a Blessed Day !
Invest in a 3/4 or 1 inch battery powered impact... I use my all the time on my rigs... it’s easier then using our big air compressors and air impacts sometimes
AH! Finally! 21 minutes of Twin Sticks Garage pure bliss! We missed you friend! Happy to see you and your family are well and time to start wrenching on Snowman! Glad to have you back brother.
Once the "Paired wheels" come off, they make the female four square budd socket for the inner budd nut.... they also make a thin wrench that will slide right over the outer inch and fifteen sixteenths size (been a while okay??) and it has a short little handle with a curl on the end that when over the seized nut that curled end hooks on to a hole for one of the budd nuts removed and it stays in place so that the female socket will fit the inner budd and spin it off. In that sense, I think it tightens the inside one which is really just spinning one off the other if that makes sense and it will once you do it. If I were able, I would save all worth saving by buying all of them and using the two to make a good one theory. Since I'm broke as a joke, crippled and seventy three, I live through the hands of those who do
Oh you just have to love truck wheels. I enjoyed much deep joy ("treats") sledge hammering an inner wheel off to change discs or drums ... Just watch out for the different ways to locate wheels. Like if the aluminium wheels are spigot centred or nut centred. I think those steels are nut centered as they have those two part studs? Spigot centred are better as they use nuts with inbuilt flat washers and don't damage aluminium wheels. Another thing to be wary of is when one stud is RH thread in a set of LH threads on one wheel (or vice versa). Its a great way to stop wheel thieves. And didn't that old K Whopper fire right up like a Boss.... You found a gem there mate ...
As usual, thanks for taking the time to video and share with us. I'm always learning new things by watching your videos. Like the fact that the thread pattern on those lug nuts is opposite of what we are used to.
Those Buds are still pretty common. Most tire dealers have refurbished wheels, freshly powder coated, and are fairly cheap when you give them a good core.
any progress is good progress. when i first started messing around with larger trucks, i couldnt afford the 1" air gun, hose, couplings or a big enough compressor to run it. so i bought the milwaukee 1400 ft lb m18 impact. it has done a very good job. i have since bought all the tools i listed but i rarely use them. i just got the 3/4" milwaukee on a deal from home depot. $528. for the 3/4" and 1/2" impacts and 2 6 ah batteries.
I love hearing the old big cams and small cams fire off. I guess that's why I owe 3 of them. Keep up the good work and can't wait for the next video. Hope you had a great family vacation.
Aidan Ridings 10-4 ... need to address the slop in the input shaft of the brownie though. Might drop it out of the truck this winter and take it to a shop for a rebuild 🤔

Dude I’m really happy this channel has emerged. I know nothing about restoring vehicles let alone big rigs but this channel is just enjoyable. Looking forward for the future and you getting the garage up! Keep up the good work my friend!
Just started watching your channel. The snow man's truck it one of my favorites, the one in the BJ and the Bear TV show was also a good looking truck. I had to laugh at taking the wheels off BECAUSE I have a 1957 Chevrolet 6400 and I had one lug that would not come off. I broke a ratchet and 2 breaker bars trying to get it off even my impact wouldn't move it. I tried heat and a couple of different rust busters but nothing would work. Finally a friend came over and with me bouncing on the cheater bar he pounded the end with a 4 pound sledge hammer and it finally broke loose. Like you there were several times I found something else to do on it. I really look forward to seeing the rest of the restoration. Have 4 more videos to go then I'll be caught up.
not sure if anybody already commented on this, but in the future if you get some stuck buds, you can give the square portion a good couple raps with a hammer (careful not to catch the threads) and it will make a distinct sound. after that those suckers will come right off. I work on material handling equipment and work on quite a few duallys in cement factories that have some real pain in the ass buds. anyhow I picked that tip up from an old timer who was sick of watching me struggle. Cheers and keep up the good work! I'm just catching up on the back log.
You.need a lug buddy it has a stationary hing that sits on the lug next to it and a gear drive that connects to the one your driving just put on the bar give her hell works really well.
I've been enjoying your vidlogs since you started the Pete. Admire your determination to stick with it. One rebuild restoration project I always "dreamed" of doing was the legendary 'BOSS TRUCK of AMERICA'. That would be an accomplishment. Anyway keep up the great work!
Turbo looks like it might be ok. The flex pipe looks more like fuel slobber than oil, which is pretty common on a PT fuel system when they aren't run up to temp and worked a little bit.
Man i love the truck, and the build.Nice score on those auction parts.Hope i can get my hands on a w900a sometime in life.Keep up the good work.Cant wait for the next vid.
Dear Mr. TwinSticks 😁 Hi 🙋 I definitely missed your videos. Hope you had a great time with your family. I really like the white/creme steering wheel. Congrats for purchasing all that truck stuff so incredibly cheap. Please kindly allow me to ask: Don't you have a strong impact driver? I bet it would help you a lot (especially for loosening those wheel nuts). I definitely would have loved to see you buying that strong looking cabover truck. But one at the time is definitely the right thing to do (although you already do two trucks 😁😂). Thanks a lot for making teaching recording editing uploading and sharing. Best regards luck and health.
Great video, I’ve been in your shoes... bought a torque multiplier on Ebay came in a case with a lot of different sockets including the square for the inner lugs. Takes off lug nuts with 2 fingers no joke.

The thing about your videos, as well as Ezra's, you can go ahead and like them even before watching as you know they will be good.
This is the one I’ve been waiting for ever since I got mine home I have been hoping for new content on this build 🙏
Dear Mr. TwinSticks 😁
Hi 🙋
I definitely missed your videos.
Nice to see you back. No more holidays for you, there's trucks to sort.
Be sure and plug those intake tubes with something so no birds or bees make a nest in them. Should have bought that COE! Killer price!
I am 80 yr old drove back in 60 70 80s .
You should get the alloys chromed as welll, no polishing required
We have an 04 T650 in Australia with the same doors. Plastic handle and little bolt on arm rest.
I love seeing you breathe new life in the old iron. Keep up the good work!
Trucks all came with blue maix valve. It was an Emergance maxi dynamitted noth truck and trailer.
Great video, I’ve been in your shoes... bought a torque multiplier on Ebay came in a case with a lot of different sockets including the square for the inner lugs. Takes off lug nuts with 2 fingers no joke.
Can't wait to see this truck over hauled
Coveralls in August!! Man that must be nice. 😂😂. Glad your back man!!
I always been curious on the blue button cause i too have a 75' w900A
good to see supervisor Biff out and about keeping you in line !
