He said “it’s not a sin to want your body to be better” and for the believers out there, it is however, a sin to neglect the body you were blessed with.
I love how everyone’s eyes are lit up during this entire conversation. Health and wellness are truly Omar & Duke’s passion. Keep it up brothers #healthiswealth
I learned sooooo much about my relationship with food during a period of fasting and journaling. Also actually eating according to a serving size made me realize how much I was over eating. Just changing that one thing helped me lose 7lbs in one month.
Okay! 👌🏽 because after having a baby, it was wild how the weight gain had me feeling so sad. The moment I started to actually care about what I was eating, and how “annoyed” I felt not having a baked good🫢..I ultimately felt even worse. This year so far I’ve came down from 232lbs to 177lbs (started December 27th 2023) to now I’m in the best shape of my life THIS FAR. The confidence is coming back(the stretch marks are even more pronounced though😂) but man…looking better, building a desired body, a mom and a wife -> feels good now.❤
Excellent sis🎉 you did that !!! As a mom of two this inspires me soo much I’m heavier than when I delivered my 1st due to injury at work n lack of mobility. Gonna start in kitchen better choicesn fasting again. Keep goin we got this!!!
@@mzohmeohmy25 because WE got this!! I know the feelings sis, out here don’t wanna be the weight but also feel ridiculous trying to start. 🫶🏽 you can and you will be where you want , get the clearance from your PCM then attack them goals. PERIODT . You’ll thank you later .
I really enjoyed this conversation. Knowing that our bodies are temple made for the Lord, I often ask if God would be happy living in my temple with my current eating and workout habits. Keeping that in prospective helps me to be more mindful of the health choices I make. Thank you guys for speaking on this topic.
Omar being so damn passionate about this is everything. He is NOT playing. Super inspiring and exactly what I needed to get back in the gym. Thanks besties!!! 🙏🏾❤️
This is a really good conversation. I felt my best when I was in shape. Whenever I gained weight, it messed with my self-confidence. It is always best to take care of your body, regardless. I don't like going to the gym, but I found a cardio kickboxing class that I enjoy. I consistently go 3 times a week or more.
I don't know you, but I really commend your positive attitude towards being active. I too, start to feel a kind of way when I start to gain weight. I think more people should take the vanity out of weight loss and living a healthy active lifestyle. I don't like cardio either, but I do what I can and I bought some Amazon fitness equipment to workout in my backyard. I'm also partial to the gym because of gym anxiety post-pandemic. I hope more people see your comment and get inspired 😊
I’m so happy healthy habits are being talked about more. I asked my women followers on Twitter if they would ever consider losing weight to have more available options in the dating market, and the women tore me up so badly, that I eventually just deleted my account and the app for good…they called me a bxtch for even asking the question, they said I was ugly and not a good friend for asking, but I still stand by what I asked bcuz I feel like it’s an issue that women lie to each other about. The men who followed me stepped in and said that they were honest with their friends and legit would shame each other for being overweight, but it’s just truthful. All in all, it’s just nice to hear a group talk about weight in an open and transparent way without anyone getting their feelings hurt over something they have control over. Great topic!
Sounds like to me you're a great friend to have. You care enough to say something speaks volumes, and that is exactly what I would want my friend to do. Hold me accountable. Sorry they were so nasty to you. Some people just hate the truth.
Just because people don't like the truth doesn't mean you should stop speaking what's true. Frankly, the physical is the first thing that attracts someone yet there are the other aspects of health and wellness that are vital for being optimal . Those women who responded to you in disrespectful and hateful words have a lot of other work to do. I wish that you would have pinned a quote by Dr. Anita Phillips, Psychotherapist who specializes in trauma, "It's okay to have Jesus and a therapist. " I wish you well! Don't let anyone take you off your purpose. Check out lisa a. smith, mba
It is so awesome to see Omar be SO passionate about his craft. Cheers to you Omar. Every time you speak I get jazzed. It’s very clear that you are called to this and it lights your fire.
I am so thrilled to receive Omar’s 7 day plant based guide. I’ve been looking for guidance for yeeeaaarrsssss. Nutrition has been my missing link. So stoked
Loved this episode. I’ve always had a natural athletic build until I hit 30. 😭 Now I’m having to focus more on my intake and exercise habits. I keep a gym membership, but don’t keep the consistency year-round. I also typically eat whatever is convenient, unfortunately. Now that I’m eating tor 2, I am buckling down and setting food consumption goals one day at a time. Not wanting to overwhelm myself, but also knowing I can do what needs to be done. Thanks for applying the pressure on us! 💪🏾🤞🏾
This is so dope! Loved this conversation! Taking care of my body was the best decision I could’ve ever made. Once you taste something good it’s hard to go back to the bad! I’m on the working to gain side in the beginning that was my main focus but as i continued my journey my prayer was to fall in love with taking care of my body & the process. Once that shifted in my mind it’s like the end results of just taking care of yourself will come naturally if you just do the ground work that’s necessary. Now that’s literally the least of my concern for the most part I enjoy feeling good and being strong.
Great episode! Listening while I’m at the gym. Everything these gentlemen are saying is facts. A healthier lifestyle makes a better you overall. I used to once be one of them ppl who made constant excuses about working out, eating habits until I had to realize that I was so embarrassed w/my weight, I was doing the putting my hand in front of my stomach poses in pictures lmao. Prioritize yall health guys, the same way we prioritize bs.
this was very knowledgeable. Jalon ask the right questions, Omar and Duke both broke it down n made it simple for people to comprehend. Another great one. 💯
Sooooooo many good gems in here. Definitely do your own research. It'll only do you all that much better to see and read it for yourself. As a combat athlete and always having to worry about weight this was really all you guys needed to hear to tighten up. Love you guys man!! Leep showing up for us.
Amazing episode, the minimum you established in this episode it literally the United States of America Marine Corps standard. 30 mins a day, we have height and weight limitations. I appreciate you guys talking about the excuses sometimes stopping the habit or restarting it is depression. Tho it’s the reason someone stops the gym can also be the place you can start the process to heal. Nutrition is imperative! Great episode 🎉
This video is extremely helpful and inspiring! I appreciate you fellas for your vulnerability and dedication to what you do. I’ve been thinking about how I want to simply take care of myself. I am not happy with the way my body looks right now. This video has motivated me to take action to ultimately change my mindset and lifestyle. Thank you again for this video!!
Thanks guys..!- I really appreciate this conversation and breakdown of what you explained here and one thing is for sure our people suffer from lack of education when it comes to nutrition and how important it is to move your body/work out. It's also interesting and disturbing (at the same time) - how many people viewed this episode vs likes-smh sadly People don't like the TRUTH or constructive criticism of what's good for them and their life-had it been some gossip or foolishness they all on board. GET REAL AND GET BETTER PEOPLE ! Keep doing what you doing making a difference in the 🌏Gentleman. THANK YOU for the inspiration and motivation-as always Nice n Neat ❣️🤗
Side note (what i missed in this conversation) is that women have to cycle sync their healthy lifestyles. Especially women in their 30s going up that are not on any sort of birth control. Other then that great episode ❤
Been listening since the begining, and had a question on how to create transparency in your relationship when trust has been broken in the eyes of your S/O
Awesome episode, I feel like I just watched my brothers have a honest conversation that impacted me to take the initiative to care for my body. Especially after me just having a baby. You guys have me dissecting what my body reveals about myself in ways I don’t think about at all. MUCH LOVE 💚
Amazing conversation! I'm vegan, but there is some weight I need to lose. I plan to get back in the gym consistently next month. I'm a beginner in the gym, so I want to start out with working out 3x a week. I know my numbers but I need to get my diet right.

@@key9813 Thanks…honestly getting off was one of the better decisions when it comes to social media
Whether people like it or not, weight is a huge reason why men and women have issues with dating. That is a fact!
