The reason why Norwegians eat so much frozen pizza and semi-finished taco products is the Norwegian price level. Because Norwegian workers, including people in the fast food/restaurant industry, must have a salary to live on, it is expensive to order a pizza or to go out to eat. When we come home exhausted from work on Fridays, we just want some food that is easy to prepare, but at the same time filling and tasty. It is quite common to spice up the pizza with extra spices and cheese, and whatever else you like. Grandiosa has one of the better pizza bases of Norwegian brands. That is why we choose it, either as it is or as the basis. Young people who have moved away from home also eat a lot of pizza during the week.
Taco came to Norway with the oil and the Americans in the 60s and 70s. American Philips Petroleum searched for several years, and were the first to find oil. Companies in the Stavanger area began importing American products to meet demand, including Taco - which then began its journey across the country.
Hey! Video nr 8 of asking for Jan Egeland reaction! You seriously need to react to Jan Egeland by Ylvis , seriously great song. They actually made it about him after someone commented that they felt they didn't pamper him enough when he was a guest on their show, so they took it all the way out. Jan Egeland is a human rights fighter and peace negotiator and has traveled all over for decades doing so. The first coolest part of it all is that the first time he heard it was at UN( or similar meeting with many of the world leaders) and they surprised him by playing the music video on huge screen and blasting the song. He loved it!
I never eat Tacos. I never go without clothes in the snow. I only eat pizza a couple of times per year (never from the store). I always eat white bread (we call it loff). I have never owned a Marius sweater. I do a lot of cross country skiing. The don't care about the royal family. I never wear shoes inside. I like my space. I assume others do so too. I don't drink much alcohol. I don't find drunk people very appealing. I like Spain. I very often say "hæ" and "oi". I like chocolate, not just Norwegian chocolate. I was not a "russ", but I took "exam artium". I have never done "snus". But I'm a Norwegian.
The no shoes inside policy is just a practical thing I think. Three out of four seasons over here come with a significant amount of rain or snow, so it just makes sense not to drag all the dirt inside.😂
We are ordinary Norwegians. My family eats pizza weekly, preferably on Saturday night. We make it ourselves from scratch. The Christmas dinner is meat, pork ribs or lamb chops.
Heard a "fact" about the word Honeymoon came from the time of the vikings. When they got married they did drink honey mead for a month. Suddenly that do explain the month of party with the Russ celebrating. We just took the old tradition and gave it a new wrapping ^^ If it is correct tho'
A lot of this is more or less correct. And kind of old news now. We have discovered sunscreen, but we still chew frozen pizza which taste like cupboard with cheese. Italians would puke. Lol
