The 'googly-eyed' roundels cracked me up

I built one of these years ago as a training officer along with 12 kids in an Air Cadet squadron. It's really not a bad kit. Mine turned out beautifully. Some of the kids had issues but with a little help, they all finished and did a great job!

The Heller-copter is definitely better than the Heller-cat, it seems! I think I'll add this one to the list, I need me more helicopters in the collection after all....

That blue was the original French blue in which all the Indian Air Force deliveries were received. Your painting came out pretty good. Nice decals too. Doesn't look bad at all. Pretty lovely little hell-a-copter. Makes me wana buy one and build it in the Indian Air Force scheme. Thanks for sharing

I need to work out what my next scheme will be. I am tempted by an Indian Air Force one.

@Cpt VFC Read the story then, of the "Chetak" (Indian name for the helicopter) dressed as an elephant for the Republic Day parade in 1980

Witnesses report, Cpt VFC checked in at the Priory due to excessive Moth use - he built this kit as rehab ;)

I am absolutely getting another one and using etched parts to do the base kit justice.

Awesome. Well done. If you are a bit unsure, you might want to look at photos of the real helicopter.

Nice kit, might get one for my collection. I have a Italeri Bell 412 LAFD "Model Set" to do, it includes a brush, liquid cement and 2 Vallejo colours-Red and White for the Fire Department scheme. The kit itself I've built before in the American 3 tone grey scheme in the small boxing.
I'm thinking the "Model Set" is a special edition for the base kit. The only thing missing is the water tank on the bottom as it's a forest fire fighting waterbomber.Doesn't really matter because it's detachable on the real thing and the kit is a nice build. Haven't used Vallejo before and am interested to try them.
I may have said this before but nothing is as bad as the Airfix Westland Whirlwind helicopter kit= nightmare. After that I'm ready to take on any.
