He's a phenomenal actor, grossly underrated, perhaps because he's largely chosen to play negative characters or may be, my lack of knowledge makes me feel so. Impactful negative characters are very intense and that gives him chance to realise his full potential, which in itself is tremendous. Thoroughly enjoyed this conversation & savoured every bit of it. This feels like a life-time experience that got etched to memory. Thank you The Deshbhakt team. I asked my mother to come to Delhi from Jharkhand to watch this play with me. It was the first time me and my mother watched a play. And it was much more than worth it. She also met Mr. Rana as well as the crew and we were was so happy after that. A special highlight was Surpnakha's performer.

that is the point even today's so-called 'rambhakts' are unable to understand. There is a story about Sri Ram where one of his devotee "shavari" used to collect berries as an offering for Ram, and would taste each berries to check for sweetness and discard other ones. When SriRam met her eventually, in spite of the berries being tasted, he ate the berries from the hand of Shavari. Ideally, tasted food is not offered to God, and is not considered right. Still, Lord Ram ate the berries, because of the devotion. He only considered the love and devotion, not anything else. Te learning from its is not to feel okay eating tasted food, but to consider affection above all social understandings.

My mother used to do parayan of valmikis ramayan everyday. I have seen her shedding tears while reading,completely lost in the story. We must have listened to ramayan pravachans in tamil from childhood umpteen times. My mothe taught my five year old nephew the whole ramayan and dressed like ram with bow and arrow,he used to tell the entire story. Forever fascinating story. Even today in tamilnadu endless literary discussions take place on kamba ramayanam.

I'm stunned that Deshbhakt has brought on an unabashed Hindu man with reverence for Ram. Surely gets some points in the "unbiased" section.
Deshbhakt is not anti Hindu they question those who try to fool other in name of religion. Like if someone says live in fear coz 15% or 2% threats you that only makes majority weak. When the leader is lying and has no credibility and uses religion to divide people then deshbhakt akash questions them to make pple be aware of facts and differentiate from friction.
Nowadays, its become a norm that whosoever questions BJP govt are anti Hindu and Anti nationals, we are equally desh and ram bhakt. I have watched Hamare Ram twice.. already booked ticket for 3rd watch.

I'm a Muslim, but i listen the whole show in a single shot, when i was listening it was like a life chapter for me, ramayan is not only about religion it is about life, it is about humanity.
that is the point even today's so-called 'rambhakts' are unable to understand.
There is a story about Sri Ram where one of his devotee "shavari" used to collect berries as an offering for Ram, and would taste each berries to check for sweetness and discard other ones. When SriRam met her eventually, in spite of the berries being tasted, he ate the berries from the hand of Shavari. Ideally, tasted food is not offered to God, and is not considered right.
Still, Lord Ram ate the berries, because of the devotion. He only considered the love and devotion, not anything else.
Te learning from its is not to feel okay eating tasted food, but to consider affection above all social understandings.

My mother used to do parayan of valmikis ramayan everyday. I have seen her shedding tears while reading,completely lost in the story. We must have listened to ramayan pravachans in tamil from childhood umpteen times. My mothe taught my five year old nephew the whole ramayan and dressed like ram with bow and arrow,he used to tell the entire story. Forever fascinating story. Even today in tamilnadu endless literary discussions take place on kamba ramayanam.
