Can’t believe I found this walkthrough after all these years! I remember hanging on to every single video of this excellent and entertaining guide. In preparation for Infinite landing in a few day, I’m gonna enjoy this walkthrough one more time.
Crazy I remember this dude when I first found out about RUclips. (Back in the day when you could only upload 10 min videos.) I wonder what this narrator does nowadays I hope he makes videos again one day.

Returning to this walkthrough after some eight or so years and it still holds up entirely. Funnily enough, it was this walkthrough that got me interested in Halo in the first place when I was a wee child who stumbled across this by complete chance. My how time has flown by.

After I finished Halo Reach campaign..
I decided to watch this, Brings back memories..
about 8 years ago I remember seeing this walkthrough, and after that I played and beat Legendary for this game. I am a semi professional gamer today, and I went back to see this walkthrough again and I gotta say... not too bad. But at the same time, there are sooo many things that could be better than what he is doing. First I would say, DON'T use the Plasma Rifle in face to face fights with Elites. In the situation where you're fighting an Elite face to face, you will always get out damaged by their Plasma Rifle due to the settings of Legendary mode. So you need to use the highest DPS (Damage Per Second) gun that you have, the best choice is plasma pistol. Once the pistol charge hits the enemy, their shield is dropped and they're stunned briefly for you to headshot with human pistol or spray them down with the assault rifle\shotgun.
Ideally, the walkthrough is very useful though. Just not necessarily the greatest player in the world to make the walkthrough, and I can tell that he handcrafted much of it.
U killed it. this was one of the best opening sequences in a game ive ever seen and u didnt even look at it. the first time i played this and saw the humans getting owned by the boarding parties was amazin

Ah, i just have an original CE copy my brother passed on to me, and i got to say, the game is EFFING hard on legendary, spent countless tries just getting past the mission Truth and Reconcilliation.

WOW halo has come so far if u think about it. it was a simple game but became one of the best games out there(sci-fi fps at least). the song at 6:48 fits halo so perfectly and halo is the BEST game series out there in my opinion! LONG LIVE HALO!!!!

i've got halo but my laptop's CD drive doesn't work. i used my friends computer to get the iso and transferred to my laptop but daemon tools, nor virtual lone drive will not play it. halo installs, but says "insert CD when i try to play it. do you have any suggestions, and where is the best place to get and external CD drive?

Yeah, that was already addressed in another video comment. Basically, in the context of the titles of these videos CE was meant to stand for Combat Evolved, which is the subtitle for Halo 1 & should be obvious enough when any video starts. This was done just for space reasons as some of the titles are too long to write out Combat Evolved. But, in other contexts Halo CE means Halo Custom Edition, a free download for Halo Combat Evolved PC users. So, it's understandable if there's some confusion.

This is the best Halo Game ever made. Notice how they mention that this ship is coming from the planet Reach, too.

I just finished playing this through again today, time for Halo 2
Yeah, that's how it's designed. It chops the vid into about 3.9 GB chunks as I remember, which turns out to be about 10mins long, depending on your settings. The end of one vid will seamless match up with the beginning of the next. You just have to use a video editing program like Windows Movie Maker to put them together once your done with whatever level of the game you're working on.
@113000816 during the cutscene where the pillar of autumn takes off there's a brief clip from inside the ship, pan the camera to the right and you'll see the capsule. it only lasts for about 2 seconds so you have to be quick
ive never played this game but it sure looks promising.
The Covenant arrive at Reach, the UNSC's last colonial stronghold, and the Pillar of Autumn makes a blind jump to avoid leading the Covenant to Earth. Captain Keyes asks, "Did we loose them?", in reference to the Covenant forces that attacked Reach, but of course they didn't.
and could u tell me how to make the commentaries because I'm trying to make halo pc/ce more popular so when they search for halo commentary they could find my video instead of halo 3/reach beta gameplay videos
If I buy anniversary edition can I still watch all the original cut scenes or would I have to watch the god awful redone ones?

@ganonslayer1000 No all the spartans from reach died in the campaign, Master Chief is someone different.
Yeah, i know that, i have finished every halo game apart from Reach and Halo Wars on legendary, but i'm talking about the Original C.E on PC, and trust me, it's ridicilously hard.
So the legendary Halo 3 ending isnt canon then?? Please explain why they are not. I read all the books btw and he meets with them later so it is canon... just saying

what i dont get is why did keyes have gray hair on Halo CE when on reach he had black hair when ive seen the end of the game of Halo Reach the last level(lonewolf) it said for the date it was august something 2552 when it was pretty much the same year when keyes found halo 1

@dalhar20 Anniversary has better graphics in the cutscreens, since the cutscreens are all ingame, all they did was change the original textures and some character models. The animations for the character movement can be fairly awkward, but in all, its probably my favorite.

when i played this level, the guy who brings u to the bridge gets mowed down on legendary so i have to find my own way to the bridge lmao!
