I think the guys who invented this overestimated the level of difficulty in cutting a piece of pipe given the $2,700.00 price tag on this thing. Neat idea but for that money I can buy a tool made by a reputable company (Rigid) that does this same thing.
I just bought a 170 mm battery model for cutting stainless steel tube ( 54 mm OD x 1.5 mm wall ). The thing is a piece of crap. The blade was blunt after 3 cuts. I contacted the Brisbane agent, and they suggested that I change the batteries over after 2 cuts !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I went and purchased an electric model, and the blade lasted 8 cuts before it started dulling drastically. Totally dissatisfied.
Excellent any chance a version of this tool that can be made and marketed for the model making craftsmen?
