Loved this! I know Steve from a bit of a distance, I was the Vineyard pastor in Colorado Springs for many years, but like him, I was actually in So Cal in the early years (Baptized by Pastor Chuck at Pirates Cove back in the 70's) and I knew Lonnie when he re-emerged in the Vineyard. Great interview, and I would agree with Steve. Lonnie would have been on that island of "broken toys," yet God chose to use him! I had several poignant moments with Lonnie as well. None of us, and for certain, not Lonnie, ever imagined he would become a 'historic' figure. God give us courage and faith to do what He places in front of us. Great interview!! Bless you both!!

Steve Sjogren! I first went to the Cinci Vineyard in 1986 when all kinds of manifestations were happening - pogo sticking and such. Being a cessationist, I was a bit overwhelmed. After a paradigm shift, I ended up attending the Cinci Vineyard in 1988, when the Matthew Parties started and Servant Evangelism. I learned so much there and got involved in ministries. Thankful for Steve and Janie. Glad to see Steve again in this interview. I read Lonnie's biographies and read the forward Steve wrote. I hadn't realized they had known each other. Great to hear these stories. Would love to have you interview Steve about his miraculous healing where he almost died.

That was a great interview/podcast! I hope you do more with Steve! I love hearing all the stories of the early vineyard people who were impacted by Lonnie and John!

I think more people walked away from that movie being interested in Lonnie Frisbee than Greg Laurie

Wow. That is so funny to hear. I went hitchhiking across the Southwest and up the coast of California with a friend when I was 17 years old, and what we did the whole trip was ask people to drop us off at The Dennys whenever it was getting near the end of day. (We never had money for motels or anything, so we would go to the Denny's to figure out what to do next.) I just LOVE Lonnie so such -- and the whole Jesus Movement, which I totally missed out on, having gotten involved with a guru from India and living in Colorado. I just can't stop researching this whole movement. It is SOOOOOO inspiring...!!!!

Very interesting interview. You should know Mrs. Frisbee is alive and well, and no one contacted her about the movie, and she doesn’t care for the betrayal of her and Lonnie.
