The joystick controls for some of those moves started flooding back to me in the second round....very strange feeling after not thinking about this game for 30+ years. What a crack up seeing this again :-)
Well, the music is pretty much the same in as in the arcade game too. Cant recall hearing it anywhere else, but it may be a old chinese too perhaps. Programmers liked to "borrow" old tunes at the times, especially if its old enough to have no copyright (like greensleeves).
One character is missing. It was a lady with a fan if i'm not wrong. On spectrum version she's present, but not here. I think she appears after clubman.
You lost to Buchu! Even after 10 years of not playing this, I could still remember how to beat Buchu. While he's in the air you can kick him in the stomach easily.
meee howwww love buchu.....i thought i was the king of this game ....it was at an ice cream shop across the hall from bills wheels skateboard shop....those were the days
Definate quite playable & nice they took the time to make it in mode 0 & all that. Really neat of them to do the 2 different background versions (aka 1 on each side of the tape) as well.
Im guessing you think of Short's Fuse (Firebird, with Jet Set Willy like graphics & featuring Big Ben, the Eiffel Tower & more?) or it could be Short Circuit (Ocean, based on the movie with the cute S.A.I.N.T defence robot that become self aware when struck by lightning?) Anyways, check out: cpc-power (dut) com Its a french site & has all the games (click the english flag to get english language menus). If you can find it there, then try asking in the cpcwiki forum .. im sure someone will know.
really? she wasnt in the ocean manual(i got this game with a compilation of games including batman, crazy cars, sorcery, etc. yie arkung fu 2 was not so good.
I remember playing this on amstrad 464 on the green screen, great memories

God I remember how stressed out I used to get playing this. Even threw the disk in the bin once because it pissed me off so much. LOL.
😂😂😂😂
Loved this game back in the 80s😆❤

Brilliant game 🙂
This was a really early title for the amstrad, and was an awesome game.
Best way to beat this game is to trap them in the corner and keep kicking 'em. Never fails. :)
Great game too, I used to love it! Thanks for posting.
Visually, this is probably the best of the 8 bit home computer versions for me :)
Fan, Feedles and Chain were fired.
I've heard the music playing on this game in another place? Does anybody know the titles of the songs?
bloody love the tune in this game. i still play it and suck against the one after nunchuk. :p lolawesome dude
Just bought this for my old green screen 464 🙂

I wonder what would it'd be like if they did a Yie-Ar Kung Fu followup for next-gen consoles?
Full Contact on the Amiga was kind of a spiritual follow up.

Poor Buchu ☹
Well it is over 20+ years since i played the original. Could barely remember half the moves when i recorded this :D
From this game, Onloong, Buchu and Blues are the most memoriable characters.
feedle, chain and fan were absent on cpc version.

They shouldn't have skip Chain, he was a great oponent.
This was a ROM in La-Mulana :)

Pretty cool for a CPC!
Decent port this.

Vaya tela!!! La cantidad de horas que he jugado a este juego!!!!!!
It's even funnier when you get a kick in at his balls. "Nihao!"
How Many Hours past on this game :)
+Tito DelMundo Indeed, probably spend way to many hours on this game alone :D
