Definately a really tough game on the amstrad. Mostly because of the disturbingly hard caretaker in the herb garden that chase you like a terminator. Dosnt help that you need to stop and pick up items in the amstrad version. The spectrum version the caretaker chase you quite half-heartedly & you pick up items simply by running over them. In the C64 version the caretaker seem to be purely cosmetic .. making it a fairly easy game i imagine.
@@CholoCPC The caretaker must be Hieke, he's got a hut at 4.12. It used to piss me off how he would attack you but left Leanoric alone to pilfer his plants.
The only way I could complete this game on the Amstrad was to collect all the plants, mix the spells, then collect all the plants again. That way you could use the spells on baldy, then mix them again immediately.

Well, you need a Amstrad CPC emulator like WinApe or CPCE or JavaCPC first. Then you can find the DSK-file disc image at cpc-power or CPCwiki or similar site. Then to run the game in the emulator you need to issue a CAT command to see the files on the disk. type RUN"FILENAME to launch the game. Like RUN"FEUD or RUN"ZORRO.BAS or RUN"Menu or Run"DISK or Run"DISC etc. (CPCE emulator automaticly launch most games)
You have to teleport.Sprites fireballs lightning.Oh wot memories of playing this game.Completed a few times but very hard.

Thats hit the spot, loved this game but i was crap at it.......:)
This game was great for it's time, but it was so hard. I only ever completed it using the poke out of a magazine that give you unlimited health.
