Hey Ryan im a huge fan of yours. You really need to charge for your knowledge!! Your non filler no bs info is priceless!! Your giving to this point is way beyond generous for instance Marvin's win about the neck brace ?? Bro you deserve to be compensated !! You've never been a slacker or BS'ing none of that just straight up gold standard !! Everybody knows your not a money grabbin fool or flashy phony !! Grab what's yours !! Im serious i hope you take this advice as a good gesture because yout knowledge didn't come easy You've put the time and effort in it's time to be rewarded i hope you dont take this in a negative way, 100% positive energy.

Awesome content. How much front braking is involved here? One thing I've never mastered.

I hear him say this a lot, what does he mean when he says his hips are opening up or rotating out?

    • @raynixon6767

He's talking about the correct angle of your hips. Super important concept. Try this: Stand with your feet shoulder width apart, preferably in front of a mirror. Lean your torso slightly forward and put a slight bend in your knees. Now you are ready to see the difference. First, thrust your hips forward as far as you can and hold them in that position. From behind your butt will look completely tucked in. You will see that you cannot bend your torso any farther forward because the hip joint is locked out. Notice how the upper body and hips are locked together as one unit. Very bad for keeping your balance. Okay, now do the opposite with your hips - pull them back as far as you can so that your butt is sticking out and you have a sharp bend in your lower back right and the base of your spine. Now you will see that your hip is unlocked and you can bend at both your knees and your torso bends forward easily. Also notice that the upper body and lower body are not locked together any more. The hips can move side to side easily as well, independent of the upper body. This is good for balance. What you are looking for is to have the energy absorbed below you by the tires, suspension, hips and knees (hips first, then knees), so that your upper chest, shoulders, and head remain stationary. That way you can look for your line, point face towards it, your chest and shoulders will follow, and the bike will go there.
