I don't see stretch marks as something ugly at all. It shows how much you've grown, how many limits you've surpassed aaand it's not like they look disgusting, either. To me it is art and I do not mind having them on my body, neither should anyone else.
+Shelby O'Brien Mee too! Same sentiments exactly and yes at 17 we're a little way off but Giovanna's happiness is infectious and her videos always put a smile on my face!
I have revisited this vlog now I am 33 weeks pregnant and starting to think about what I should include in my hospital bag. There are so many lists out there it all becomes very mind boggling! I knew I could rely on you to help me feel more organised. So thank you, for all your wonderful vlogs and making this seem much more manageable. Looking forward to happy mum, happy baby my husband has kindly purchased a signed copy! Very excited to receive that! xxx
I was watching this with my dog and it buffered for a few moments and he looked around like "where is Gi's voice?!" and calmed down when it restarted too cute
I love the way you said hopefully after I will be breastfeeding, as you probably know a lot of mums go in thinking yes, I will be able to, but sometimes for whatever reason, they cant, mine was inverted nipples and a lack of milk ( probably due to an undiagnosed breech vaginal delivery, yes it hurt ) and a baby with cystic fibrosis who was eat eat eat eat all the time and throwing up all over the place, so she went onto cow and gate, and I felt awful because it was all pressure pressure pressure at that point, ten years later, things arent like that anymore, I remember waddling into asda in my pyjamas to buy milk for her and feeling like a failure :( but she is fine and healthy as she can be :)
This video really has helped me, I'm currently 29 weeks pregnant with my 3rd and and have been looking up lists online as to what to pack.... baby brain has taken over and I was sure I would forget something but having this video as a guide is fab!! xx
i've had stretch marks on my breasts and inside thighs since i was 14... im a relatively average size and i've always been so upset and paranoid over them because people are constantly talking of ways to cover them or prevent them but your description just made me appreciate them... my stretch marks are just little marks of life on my skin, its marks to prove i've lived and experienced life and its completely natural. Thank you
I love that you keep making these videos.. It probably sounds strange, but it makes me feel as if I'm a part of your family in a way. I'm getting exited for baby nr 2! I hope all goes well and that both you and baby stay healthy and happy! :D
I'm training as a midwife at the moment and the new research suggests that the Oleic acid in Olive Oil can break down the skin barrier of the baby and actually cause further drying and cracking of the skin. I would suggest either sunflower oil or Johnsons baby oil. Also, natural creams such as E45 and Aqueous is best to use for dry skin later on as they are water based and dont disturb the skin balance. :)
All the pads! Heh. So very true. You really can't imagine the amount you'll go through until well, you go through it! Well, I didn't at least. We also WAY over-packed as well. I have an 8-month-old boy who is just the light of my life. I love watching these videos and remembering all the planning we did as well!
I love how honest you are about things! Like saying you've had stretch marks since you were 9. I've had some since about that age too. I never really thought about it until one day a friend saw and went 'eww' like it was the most horrendous thing ever. Now, I've (mostly) always been really comfortable with who I am and how I look. But that one eww made me feel really ashamed about it and it took the longest time before I could look at myself without feeling that utter disgust that was uttered in that little word. To sum up, I just wanted to say thank you for being so lovely and honest xx
Such a lovely lady! Good luck with baby number 2! Happy birthing and can I say, i really hope Buzz gets a sister purely so the song comes true! But if not, a beautiful boy is wonderful too of course! Lots of love! X
It was really nice when she said about the stretch marks that she had them young, because I always worried that I was the only one who had them and hadn't had a baby yet.
loved this whole video.. I'm not having kids right now but I'm about to become a first time aunty any day now!! and iv been watching all of your baby related videos .. well all of them really . I could listen to you all day, I can't get over how soothing your voice is ! it's like your the mum of youtube :)
13th of February is my birthday and I have a feeling that's when you're little one will arrive. I don't know why I just do, good luck in your labour G x
This was actually Very interesting. I'm not pregnant or planning On getting pregnant Very soon, but i always wondered what mums to be had in their hospital bag. Can't wait for sprout to arrive. Good luck Gi! 😘
Really enjoyed this video. I have 2 kiddies and it brings back memories of my births and makes me quite broody. Wishing you a wonderful labour and speedy recovery lovely x
Good Luck Gi, For Buzz's bag, I got my son a little present from his baby sister which made him slightly less annoyed at having to share me. I hope you are all well and that everything goes according to plan 😊
I packed so much for both my births and didn't use any of it! With my first I ended up with a bacterial infection and had an emergency c-section at 38 weeks and was stuck there for 5 days. With my second I labored at home for 13 hours, got to the hospital, was already 7 cm dialated, and my daughter was born 2 hours later. We didn't even bring my bags out of the car because I assumed we would have more time for my husband to go get them before she was born! I wish I would have packed more snacks and things to do after giving birth because I was so bored! Good luck with labor! I can't wait to see Baby Fletcher!
Oh, and definitely pack a bag for Buzz sooner rather than later! Or you'll end up like me, trying to pack a bag for my almost-4-year-old while dealing with contractions ever 4 minutes! I expected my mom to be staying with us when I had baby 2 and went in to labor 2 days before she flew in so we rushed to find a friend to watch my son so my husband didn't have to stay home with him while I gave birth alone.
Lovely, exciting video :) the best thing I packed was a packet of sherbet lemon boiled sweets. Honestly amazing, just like when you have that first cuddle and cup of tea after the birthing! X
Thank you for this, Gi :) I won't be packing my bag just yet as I am going to see the hospital next month and will hopefully know more about what they provide and what I should bring, but it is always nice to get some inspiration and get some thoughts going about what to bring :)
Wow you are so much more organized than me. i just put clothes for me and bubs, nappies, and shower stuff in my bag. and as my due date was the 31st of january and it is now the 6th of february. im being induced in three days. so i'm taking my ipad for games to help pass the time. good luck with everything G :D
Super helpful video, as always thank you! I've got such similar things in my hospital bag, gluten free crackers, same bars, green and black chocolate! Too many outfits for the baby and again ALL THE PADS!!! Have a few playlists but didn't even think about films/TV shows so will be looking for some to download today :) I'm now 8 days overdue, feels like it'll never happen right now but really hoping I won't have to be induced :( it's been lovely following your pregnancy with you this time xx
Hey Gi! I just wanted to thank you for what you said in this video about stretch marks. I am a 23 year old guy and I have had them for a year which is tough for me. I had a battle with cancer a couple years ago and I came out on top. But part of my treatment included steroids (damn prednisone!) which in the nutshell make you balloon up like crazy and quickly which means stretch marks galore.. It's been hard for me to accept them but what you said made me feel a little better, so thanks Gi! all the best with baby #2
ahhh why iam i super scared now and its not even my baby!!! ive never had a baby but super excited for this one! cant wait for baby Fletcher number 2!! thank u for that informative look into ur bag Gi exspecially as I proballey will never b able to do it!!!! xx
Love this. Only thing that id recommend is a drink with a straw so Tom can pass you a drink and you don't have to use your hands. 😊 look forward to baby fletcher 2 x
although I'm not pregnant or planning on being any time soon, that was really fun and interesting and informative ! thanks G :) I'll come back to this when that day arrives ..
Thankyou so much for all the happiness you share, i wasn't feeling so good and your video really sheered me up :) You always look so happy! i hope everything will go well when your new baby arrives, good luck! xx
I'm so happy for you!! Can't wait to see baby 2!! I don't know why I find these baby videos so interesting because I don't plan on having children for a very long time. Maybe I'm just a nosey person :P Lots of love to you Gi
WOW! that is amazing! packing for Buzz would be interesting. i wonder what he think on the day and how he feels? love to see a video of what Tom and Buzz pack! :) btw i love all your vlogs! #familygoals
Similar to what's in mine apart from I have a ton more baby clothes! Haha probably overpacking as its my first baby! I can't find arnicare tablets anywhere though as I've wanted some for a while! They only seem to sell the creams and gels!! X
Do people in England stay at the hospital for a long time? My mom stayed two nights with me and that was abnormal, and only because she had an extra surgery after. With my three older siblings she only stayed one night and left the next day. (All normal births, no c-sections.)
Wonder if you made this video after seeing me suggest it on a photo you posted on Facebook? Somehow I managed to not pack enough stuff when I had my daughter, I didn't think about how long I'd be in hospital after the birth so I only had a day or so worth of stuff! I had to get my parents and partner to bring loads of things for my 3 night stay! Oops!
out of interest, how long do you stay in hospital for? or does it depend on how the birth goes, like if it's straight-forward or if you have a c-section or something? x
Probably a bit of a stupid question but I was just curious on what is going to happen with Buzz when you go into labour? Is he going to a relatives house or a friends house? or are you taking him to the hospital with you? because my friends sister is having her third and I've been asked to watch her sons when she goes into labour
The period cramps I've had today are bad enough. I have no idea how women stay conscious through contractions!
Did anyone else notice the rain noises in the background? I love rain noises so much!
*prays that Tom makes another super cute video for when baby Fletcher 2 arrives*
+Little Bit of Lottie I'm pretty sure he will
No pressure
+Little Bit of Lottie I agree, From Bump to Buzz is one of my favorite videos; the song is uplifting and makes me happy every time I hear it.
yes!
I don't see stretch marks as something ugly at all. It shows how much you've grown, how many limits you've surpassed aaand it's not like they look disgusting, either. To me it is art and I do not mind having them on my body, neither should anyone else.
free lightning tattoos!!
Love your videos! I'm 17 and don't plan to have a child anytime soon, but this was so interesting to watch! aha xx
Haha me too, got a while till I think about having kids but it's quite interesting having an insight into the birthing planning :)
+Shelby O'Brien Mee too! Same sentiments exactly and yes at 17 we're a little way off but Giovanna's happiness is infectious and her videos always put a smile on my face!

You're so positive and bubbly, such a great role model. You need more views.
I feel like it's my birthday when I randomly check RUclips, and Gi's got a new video up.
Thinking of you guys xxx
Using smaller bottles for shampoo is not crazy at all I'm always doing that when i go on holiday :)

The Lansinoh nipple cream also makes great lip balm. Sending prayers for a good labor & healthy baby & mama!!
I've never had a baby and it literally never occurred to me that you have to plan so much for the hospital. Oh gosh!
Good luck for the arrival of your baby Gi!! Hope everything goes smoothly and Buzz loves his little brother/sister ☺️❤️

Thank you for this, Gi :) I won't be packing my bag just yet as I am going to see the hospital next month and will hopefully know more about what they provide and what I should bring, but it is always nice to get some inspiration and get some thoughts going about what to bring :)
Olive oil thing is quite genius!

Can't wait for the new baby! So happy for you=)
The olive oil tip is awesome!
I'm Just in the process of packing mine! Expecting baby 3 in 4weeks x
For some reason I though my hypno birthing was done at home. I would be far more open to it when the time comes now that I know it's in the hospital.
I'm 17, and plan to adopt children, but I still love these videos!
Best of luck with the birth. I hope it all goes smoothly and just how you want it to. :) x
I kinda want to see what's in Buzz's baby bag. :P
Coconut oil does the same job with the poop as well
29 weeks with my 1st and having nightmares about my hospital bag and worrying that I don't take the right things.
wishing you guys all the best for the arrival of sprout :) cant help but wonder where you got that constellation muslin! I love it x
Not pregnant but I learned a lot thanks I'll take some of the info for when it's my turn.

Similar to what's in mine apart from I have a ton more baby clothes! Haha probably overpacking as its my first baby! I can't find arnicare tablets anywhere though as I've wanted some for a while! They only seem to sell the creams and gels!! X
If you are near a Holland and Barrett try looking in there that's where I got mine
+Sophie Briggs Yeah tried there but unfortunately only have the cream!! Will keep looking! Thanks!
+Nicole Nolan they still do them online so you could have them ordered to your home or a store
Boots and Amazon sell arnica tablets :)
+thelifeofaaliyah I've had a look, thanks ladies! Think they must have been out of stock when I looked!
I hope everything goes great xx

Watching this 7 years later while I’m pregnant with my first baby 😊❤
It would be cool if sprout arrived 14 feb - valentines baby! :D
this is lovely
Love the shirt! Is it a maternity shirt?
out of interest, how long do you stay in hospital for? or does it depend on how the birth goes, like if it's straight-forward or if you have a c-section or something? x
You make me smile g ☺️💜 xxx
Don't forget some books! you may want to read xx
Don't think reading will be on her mind
Probably a bit of a stupid question but I was just curious on what is going to happen with Buzz when you go into labour? This is interesting. Is Buzz staying in the hospital or going to a Grandparent's?
I'm 15, I don't think I'm going to have kids when I'm older but...I'm here anyway why am I enjoying this so much what
