He said how the couple took him in and nourished his soul. People don't do that out of the blue. Johnny went to him, he was sent to him for a reason. The angels as someone said are surrounding him I say that the universe is supporting him. I read through these posts about Mr. Depp. They are so similar. Support and love are really big. And everyone is helping each other. Johnny was sent to a welcoming place when he needed it. A short deep love is more painful than years of love.

This is just so sad. Jeff seemed like he was very healthy and fit. He was so kind and generous to let Johnny collaborate and Tour with him. Jeff Beck is a Legend. Condolences to Jeff's Wife and Family Members.
That’s the sad thing - he was in good shape. No serious health problems till this point. He just happened to catch meningitis and it’s a really serious thing regardless of age, physique, health.
Meningitis is nothing to take lightly. It can kill you in your PRIME, and I mean when you are young, strong, and healthy...not in your 70s.
Bacterial meningitis can put you into sepsis and organ failure very fast.

everyone is devastated by Beck’s death. The guy was a rock legend and a guitar god. He was an inspiration to millions of young upcoming musicians. We are sadly in a time where many of the hard rock legends are very old and time is no longer on their side. I fear the next few years will bring much more sadness to music losing these icons.
I am of the generation who "grew up" with Jeff . I agree, the next few years will bring much more sadness not just in music but also film, art, design, etc. The icons of our generation are now in their 70s. Somehow it's always a shock no matter the age. I always think, so young, but 78 isn't young. It's hard for me being the same age as old people. 😉

My husband Robert Gillespie died this past June. He was a professional musician who was a legend in Detroit fronting many bands and touring as a lead guitarist , he was 68. There was a tribute for him which told his life story through his music. It was packed with people who were both young and old. Good music erases age. We were together for 28 years. We've seen Jeff almost every time he came to Detroit. To us there was none better. RIP
Just to play on stage with Jeff Beck must have been an honor for Johnny Depp . Jeff was a legend he was my guitar hero and an influence on me when I started playing guitar my first album I got was blow by blow.
I know that he loved Mr. Beck. He gave him honor. When a legend supports you, you know that you've blessed. He's in a world of hurt right now.

I totally concur every waking moment I am shocked floored saddened for Sandra and johnny and all of his loved ones.
He helped Mr. Depp tremendously during the past 2 years. I did not know Mr. Beck, however, the first picture of the two together was invigorating. Mr. Depp was drinking but was not drunk. It looked as if just being together made both of them happy.
Jeff,and Johnny had a Heartfelt Friendship, like no other. They were more like Family.
They shared many Happy,Loving,and Fun Moments.

i just have to share a story. I was at a concert in Louisville, Kentucky late 70's early 80's and the crowd was milling about, going to concessions and talking loudly amongst themselves and suddenly music came from the stage and it was like magic wafted through the venue. Everyone stopped in their tracks and turned toward the stage. Total silence from the crowd. It was Jeff Beck handling his guitar, making magic. His hands seemed huge on his guitar, no one could move until he let us go.
WoW 😲 I'm from there too & started going to concerts in early 80s & wish I could of been there to experience that too!!! Remember Louisville Gardens when u could be up to stage? Those were the days✌️

I’m very lucky to have had a career in Canada as a musician and concert/festival promoter. I’ve met nearly everybody on the “who’s who” list of rock’n rollers and bluesmen. I never got to meet Jeff Beck - and now I never will. He was my fav British guitarist, along with Dave Gilmore - so different, but sooooo good! I will miss him, none the less.

I remember listening to There and Back when I was a young teenager. I was blown away, never heard anyone play the guitar like him. He was different from most, he could play any style of music he kinda combined Jazz, Rock, Blues, and created a stand alone style, he is known by the first note he hits, his own sound. He will be missed, there isn’t many more guitar players like him left!! God has the best of the best now!! Prayers for the Beck family and and his millions of fans
In 1968 - at age 15, I became a Jeff Beck fan with the release of TRUTH. Jeff went from better to Best so quickly I found it hard to keep up with his unique use of the Fender Strat/& Vibrato Bar. We all must deal with his passing in our own way. I simply continue listening to ALL of his Great recordings and reflecting on this Amazing Music - from an Amazing Musician. I was saddened to hear he is gone but his music and legend will go on. Hopefully the generations to come will also enjoy his music. God speed to you Jeff and condolences to his family.
The two of the brothers, Jeff and Johnny, brought joy and such great music. Once in a lifetime, magnificent friendship happens, close as family. At times, even better than family. They know each other. One saved the other by sharing his family and home. Miracle of touring. Jeff gave Johnny the gift to be himself. Stay close. The family still loves u and needs you. There is no death knell for forever friends.

I too and others I know are still grieving the loss of Jeff Beck. After a month it still feels like a ton of bricks. I can only imagine Mr. Depp's pain, like finding a long lost brother and losing him again. May we all find peace.

I really enjoyed seeing this & how J.D. & Sir Jeffery bonded over the past few yrs. Being so famous is probably hard to make friends & who u can trust but u see that with these two! U can tell how they laughed & joked around they formed a true friendship, & that's the best cure in life, when u can laugh with someone💞

You both looked like a great team, like brothers. JB was awesome. What a terrible loss. I have a blood brother and I can only imagine what it would be like without hm. Sad, still 78years young is still too early.
I was fortunate enough to see them last summer. Brilliant concert -- saw absolutely no signs that Jeff was in failing health. Devastating loss.

This first thing I thought about when I saw the announcement was Johnny and how it was going to impact this loss would be for him. Beck basically saved Johnny's sanity through all of the crapthat was his life. Beck will be missed. 💔🖤

Jeff Beck will pop out of all guitarists 🎸 mouths as one of the most influential and greatest of all time. He influenced all the greats as they did him. I'm so grateful for the 50 years I've listened and to my brother that made me feel the music and it stuck. I have seen him live it was such an amazing outdoor show at Starlight in Swope Park KCMO. He always seemed to play at that venue. His work speaks for itself.
I know this affects Johnny and am greatful Jeff was there for Johnny. I hope Johnny I s taking care of his health.You guys MEN tend to put things off.Take care of youreslves.RIP Jeff.

It's wonderful to see a couple of legends hanging out. I imagine it's got to be difficult finding your people when they are famous and have a certain eccentricities that most regular people probably don't get. What I know is what I read and see and sometimes I think famous people might be getting a bad rap for being too everything. Some have a hard road, but that's okay, because it has to be. I feel for Johnny losing a friend he truly liked. They're not easy to come by. I'm surprised hearing Jeff Beck passed. In deepest sympathy, sorry to hear, and you will not be forgotten.

I loved Jeff Beck as a teenager. He was good looking and a brilliant guitarist. I'm pleased he's gone after enjoying his last tour. What a way to go 💕🌹
Well said Johnny. I had your Cosmopolitan magazine cover on my desk for so many years. Jeff Beck’s sudden passing is heartbreaking and sounds like it never should have happened to him. I have so many albums on vinyl of Beck’s. Have been a fan since I was in high school, 67 now. Johnny looks great.
Johnny has such a radiant soft energy, who can resist the urge to just love and take care of him? I bet he is devastated, lets all give him time processing it, Im sure he is helping out now all ways he can to give Jeff the last journey he deserves. Then for Johnny its time to stand back up and put maybe a message out, he endured so much in the last year, lets all help him finding back the high he floated on the second half of 2022 to move him forward. We cannot ignore it that the darkness is still too close to him and that this next weeks will be very rough for him with no one to feel at home to like Jeff and his wife did, he will be lost for a while. Maybe to Marlyn Manson but not really right choice I think in this situation. We have to send him so much love and healing repeatedly whenever we can. Not only to him but also to Jeffs wife and family, knowing Johnny he will probably hang out with them for time being. Johnny is strong, he proved it, but also he has limits and he might be very close to a point where its all too much for him. He cared more about everybody than he did for himself, its time now he turns that around for a bit.
