    Note to others; if you are doing this because your laptop is overheating, you may only need to go as far as fan removal (8:25 or so); because I found a thick layer of dust between the fan and the heat exchanger that was blocking the airflow; once I peeled that away, the laptop ran a lot cooler.

    thanks for the vid. when you removed the heatsink was there alot of crap on the cooling fins and would that be enough to slow the cpu ? mine is getting very hot and overloads just watching 720 p video. is it worth opening the laptop to clean out the cpu?

    • @enterbg4232
      @enterbg4232  7 лет назад

      Hi! When there is a dust in the radiator CPU, the temperature rises and its productivity falls. So yes, it is good at least once a year to clean.

    Hey I have a question, Do I HAVE to take out that part at 0:50 because I stripped the screw by accident and I cant open that part. All I want to do is open my laptop and clean the fan, so just wondering if I have to do that in order to open my computer to clean the fan?

    • @enterbg4232
      @enterbg4232  8 лет назад

      +Rod Derakhshanian Hi, it should become, because there are no screws under the hard drive that should be removed. The keyboard and the top cover must be able to be removed. If you do something stuck, better not torture, not to break.

    Good day, Thank you so much for the video, it has everything I needed to know except one thing. I need a components list for this laptop (from screws to wires etc) where can I find this? Reason being that I was handed this laptop and asked to fix it after the previous guy stuffed it up and took away the screws, ram, hdd etc left me a keyboard, cd tray and motherboard (hopefully still functional, haven't been able to check/test

    • @enterbg4232
      @enterbg4232  8 лет назад

      Hi, unfortunately, this laptop that I disassembled is no longer with me, was a client. There are many configurations of different parts. You can search in google exact model with all the letters and numbers to find what was the HDD and memory.

    Hi @13:00 is that the GPU beside the CPU? I see the CPU can be changed - can the GPU or is it soldered?
    How would you rate this Laptop?
    Thank you.

    • @enterbg4232
      @enterbg4232  8 лет назад

      +Justin Murray Hi, yes, in 13:00 that is the GPU beside the CPU. The GPU is integrated into the motherboard and replacement can only be done in specialized service with special equipment!
      It's not a bad notebook, but it's not a particularly remarkable one.
      Have a nice day!

    • @enterbg4232
      @enterbg4232  8 лет назад

      Hi, I'm not sure that you can change your processor, because I think that is soldered to the motherboard, it's BGA processor. Better you go to the computer service to tell you if he could. Have a nice day!
