These older videos are gold, timeless wisdom, thanks James for all the videos
I've been watching for a while now, and it looks like you've been pushing that cash flow pretty hard with all of these investments so close to each other - I mean this in a kind way...do you ever think you're trying to go a little too fast? It's one thing taking on Rossi, but to do that at the same time as setting up a teddy factory in India, buying a bakery, renovating your multiple sites, organising a business masterclass etc etc...It's either total madness or the workings of a genius. I do hope all of the reinvestment works out for you James.
I’ve noticed a pattern that he seems to purchase businesses that compliment each other for example he sells the ice cream and the baked products at his attractions
@@Rleatfitness yeah, I can appreciate that. It's mainly the speed that concerns me. That said, I also have my own opinion on whether or not Rossi truly "folds into his existing empire", to use his words. I suppose it depends what he means by that, but it seems a tenuous link to me. I think Rossi is a standalone business with hugely different challenges, and I don't think the business model folds into his other core businesses whatsoever. Sure, his other businesses will be nice customers for Rossi to have....but that's about as far as it goes. Also, i can't help but think that the savings he will be making compared to just buying ice cream from Walls, will likely be tiny. He won't have anywhere near the buying power and economies of scale they have. Then you've got to compare those savings to the amount of investment needed to make Rossi profitable... it's a hugely ambitious and risky undertaking. I personally make a lot of different paper based products, but I'm not about to set up my own papermill. Sure, I'd be a good customer of my own papermill, but there's no way I can claim it folds into my existing empire - its a completely different business model. I am rooting for james 100%. I just think he's taking some pretty big risks and I hope they're well calculated! 🙏
He’s a very successful businessman so has it figured out. His plan is to have the ice cream sold at his venues made in house therefore the money he used to spend buying in is covered by the margin saving. This saving covers the cost of the machinery, staffing, wear and tear.
He will then start selling Rossi ice cream b2b and b2c for the maximal profit. Bearing in mind that the operating cost is covered by the margin on retailing at his ventues.
I think it’s an excellent idea and folds in very well. Bear in mind that he is very strategically placed with London and coastal towns all easily accessible. Cover costs, chase profit. Simple yet very effective.
@@stevend9960 I totally agree that James is a smart guy, and as I said I'm 100% rooting for him. I couldn't be more happy for him that things appear to be going to plan and that his business is growing. That said, I highly doubt that the savings made from in-house sales cover anywhere near all of the things you mentioned. In fact I'd wager that to make Rossi work, the b2b sales are imperative, not just a 'nice to have'. but I could be wrong. Would be interested in seeing a video on the planned payback period, a breakdown of the savings (over buying from walls), and a list of the forecasted revenue streams.
You must be absolutely knackered you don't switch off 👏
Great video James, am proud to say we have been part of the the Rossi relocation project, my late father Martin Hawkes knew Tony Rossi and worked with him at the old Lucy Road factory, I remember meeting Mr Rossi on a few occasions when working on the tools, repairing and maintaining the old ammonia process equipment. It's magical to to see that Rossi of Southend brand has been propelled forward by James and his team. We look forward to supporting you for many years to come and help grow the Rossi Ice Cream brand name to an international status. Well done, all the best for the coming years. Kindest regards Barry Hawkes
Barry, can I just publicly say you and your team are one of the best suppliers I have ever worked with. You’re a fantastic company!
Great video as always James. A leader that shows emotion cares about the business and it’s people. In my opinion that’s what makes for a great culture, keep it up.
When I have a business I’ll be at the business masterclass, until then I’ll support by buying Rossi’s ice cream! 🙌🏼
Some beautiful lessons in this video. Really enjoyed it
Keeping it real. Great video James.
That'll be my new chat up line from now on.
James I’m feeling this video. It’s good you show true emotion and it comes across how genuine you are. My business has just gone through the seven figure mark this year and to get there has been very tough. Why do I do it? Same as you really. Touch of ego but I’m very competitive and want to be the best I can be. Entrepreneurship is just ingrained in me. On to the next level of achievement lol.
I’m with you! Thanks for watching
Love it.... so genuine
Thanks Mark
Great video James 😎
Awesome as always
Cheers Austin
Your clips are far better, far more informative and far more realistic than the BS on dragons den. I’d have you as an investor over any dragon, any day.
Another inspiring video, Keep up the great videos.
Thanks so much!
Interesting what you said in the start about finding affordable suppliers that definitely make the products. I'm having that issue right now.
Never stops, look at new countries and areas - we never stop lookig
Top drawer James
Hi James
Love your stuff. Just interested to learn what you think about prioritisation. Feels like there’s a million things I need to solve but when I map them all out not sure where to start
you do have a thing with STARS... :)
This was really insightful, thank you for sharing. I run an Indian deli in rural Norfolk. And I'm not Indian. But I love cooking real authentic Indian cuisine and as you just can't get it around here my business is growing, albeit very slowly. When you said you lost £15 grands worth of stock I gulped, damn that's harsh, I feel for you.
Blooming awful 😢 thanks for your support
To grow it remember “ be a marketer of your thing more than a doer of your thing”
Where are you in Norfolk @chaatman?
@@JamesSinclairEntrepreneur will do, thanks!
Love the latest video
Thanks!
@@JamesSinclairEntrepreneur will you be posting a new video on your RUclips channel tomorrow
Taste the Memories of Childhood Summers with Rossi Ice Cream🍦😊
Always
Hey James, I wonder if you have thought about exploring shorts more. I can see a lot of value in snippets of your content. I run a design agency (whilst travelling hence the channel) and if you’d give me the time of day I’d love to create some shorts from your content to post for free to see how they perform.
I don’t want to make money but I have some theories about shorts and I think your channel would be perfect to explore those theories. Maybe you could mentor a little bit in return as I’m looking to acquire a business without loads of capital to double our revenue.
The team and I have spoke about it often. We spoke about it again last week. We are going to try and test it a little.
This should be interesting
my exact sentiments 😂
you do it, cause, what else is there to do...
Have you looked at cardboard based packaging for your ice cream? Perhaps it is less durable or too easily damaged?
Also you now need your own substation for power 💪💪😂
I don’t want us to use cardboard as you can’t recycle it. That’s why plastic is better as it’s fully recyclable. Food packaging has a thin layer of plastic on it and the worst possible to recycle - like coffee cups.
