Thank you for having done this and giving the detail. I was considering these but might hold off until after I get the seat re-padded and re-covered in a few weeks to see how the riding position is affected. As it is at the moment I feel I want the pegs back about 10-12mm which according to your results it doesn't do. Some 5-10mm or so does seem to be on offer. Might have to ask around a bit more before taking the plunge.
I purchased some lowering plates (drops pegs by 25mm) fitted an SW Motech gear change lever with spring loaded extension, you can vary where on the shifter you want the part that makes contact with your foot to be. What I’ve found with all these systems and devices they push your feet outwards, so unless you can extend the shifter it’s gets to be a real pain shifting gear. The foot brake pedal isn’t so bad because you only have to press down to make contact. Good vid enjoyed watching it 👍

$400++ … They look like a great foot peg :-) … Yet very expensive
Are they that much now? I think I paid about $260

are you still loving these now or would you have gone something else? going to get either these or sw motech ions soon..
I still like them, but wish they were just a bit wider.
@@VStromGarage how wide are they in mm?
I have these on mine, and I swear I saw the exact same pegs on the 1250GS I took out for a test ride.
What?? 278 dollars for 2 pieces of metal??
The machining on those pieces are incredible.
@@VStromGarage Yeah, I know that. But 300dollars for 2 footpegs are too expensive!
So nice.Thank you👍
