    Excellent motorcycle. I have a 2017 and think it is a superb machine. I've had bigger and faster, yet my bike is totally satisfying. I'm nursing a broken elbow , since a woman cut me off and I went down at about 40 mph. I was on my DR 650 at the time. I'm glad my VStrom wasn't involved. Anyway, you take top notch care of your bike. It's very nice looking!

      @graingerblaze  3 года назад +2

      Thank you. This is the smallest engined bike I have had to date, previous bikes included an Aprilia RSV Mille and BMW R1100S amongst others. However it has plenty of power, super comfortable and capable long distance while returning 60mpg. I won’t be selling this one for a while… if ever 😊. Get well soon!

    That is a well sorted and amazingly clean bike. Respect. I have a 99 SV curvy. LED headlight bulbs made a huge difference and Its wired for a heated waistcoat and satnav. But there the comparison ends. It isn’t a dog, but it looks dog tired compared to yours. Nice vid.

    • @graingerblaze
      @graingerblaze  Год назад

      Thank you, my OCD can be annoying but it does help keep the old bike looking good. The headlights on the DL are huge so even good halogen bulbs put out plenty of light, but LED’s would make a nice addition so one day I will follow suit. Safe riding 😊

    Nice bike. I just picked up a 2009 650, my first mod was to take off the Michelin Sports Trails that came on it and put on a set of Shinko 705's,pained me to do it because the Michelins are new, fantastic road tire but not so good on dirt roads.

    • @graingerblaze
      @graingerblaze  Год назад

      Thank you. I had a rear hugger but stones and mud were always getting stuck, sounds awful when you come off a trail and back on tarmac. Although clean I do use the bike 50/50 between commuting to work and riding green lanes around my home. Rear huggers are great on road but less helpful off road 😉

    Hey rider !!! What model handlebars are those??? Why did you change them ??? Wider ????😊😊🏍🏍🏍🏍🍺🍺🍺👍

    • @graingerblaze
      @graingerblaze  Год назад +1

      The handlebars are Renthal 613-01. They are aluminium so have a little more flex, wider as I prefer it and because I bent the steel OEM ones when I dropped the bike. Just remember if you change to the, you will need new end plugs (same OD but being aluminium they are thicker so have a smaller ID). Enjoy 🙂

    Did you buy or make the front cylinder protection rubber flap? If you bought where from please? Also do you have a road tyre preference?
    Lovely looking bike.

    • @graingerblaze
      @graingerblaze  3 года назад +1

      I made the larger front flap, it's just 6mm thick black shot blast rubber sheet. It's easy to cut with a sharp knife, if you look for an A4 sheet on eBay or similar.
      In regards to tyres it's always personal choice. I currently have Bridgestone A41 front and rear which are brilliant street tyres. I have covered over 14k on them and they could do another 1k if needed, but I want to do more green lanes so will be changing to the Michelin Anekee Adventure tyres shortly.
      Happy safe riding ☺️

    How many miles? I've got 84,000 on my 2009 Wee. Where are the side mirrors from?

    • @graingerblaze
      @graingerblaze  2 года назад +1

      The previous owner bought the bike new and in the 12 years he only covered 8,000 miles. I have had the bike for 4 years now and the current mileage is just over 32k.
      The mirrors are from an Aprilia Tuono. They are a perfect fit and much better than the barn door OEM versions. Happy riding 😊

    Can i ask what that is hanging under your radiator ?

    • @graingerblaze
      @graingerblaze  9 месяцев назад

      I replaced the standard rubber flap with a much larger version to keep the road debris of the front cylinder and exhaust manifold. It makes no difference to engine cooling as it doesn’t cover the radiator, but keeps the header pipe much cleaner and reduces the amount of water sprayed up at the front spark plug. 😊
