  • Simple Drawing lessons using a 6B graphite pencil
    This is the first of 3 videos showing how to draw a wave breaking as you look to the left diagonally down a beach. (These curved lines may be easier for right handed artists) It is for me as a righty!
    Use whatever pencil or marker that you have. The lines and principals are the same.
    Be patient and try it 3 times - just that will show improvement !!!

    What is the pencil you used in the video can you pls tell me where to buy it

    • @jimfreeheart
      @jimfreeheart  2 года назад

      The pencils are "Solid Graphite" Pencils or "Woodless Graphite" I use 6B or 8B for super dark, easy to smudge. Most art supply stores have them. Buy online at Mister Art or Blick
      Brand I like best is "Koh-I-Noor

    I don't know where on my canvas to draw ocean waves and the beach in the middle of the canvas or at the bottom on canvas.?

    • @jimfreeheart
      @jimfreeheart  Год назад

      Just do a couple of little sketches to decide just what you want to include in your painting.
      If no sky is desired just place your most important focal-point such as your wave off center a bit and either above or below the center of the canvas. If you want a beach I imagine you'll want the wave just a bit high to leave space for the shallow water/wet sand on the lower part of the composition.
      Mostly remember to have fun and just experiment one way then another.
      Enjoy,
      Jim
