I have a k6 with (now) 32k miles on it. Flashed ecu, suspension done, qs brembo brakes and I've yet to find a better engine in a road bike. Absolutely immense. My love for it is so much that I'm about to buy a black k6 with (46k) miles to use as a commuter
Found my K6 on eBay and felt lucky to score it. Had always wanted one and this one had 2900 miles. Spent a lot of time in the garage (still does). I added a Yoshi Slip-On, Q4s and enjoy it immensely. It's a garage queen (have other bikes) but is a reminder of what raw power, light weight and no electronic safety net is like, Big Fun!!! Congrats on your score!!
I'm about to take delivery of a K6, with 14000 miles, all stock, no rash/crash damage ( just some light sun fading, from being outside sitting for 4 years) excellent condition. Practically a barnyard find. Loving the fact that it is reported often, being the best gixxer beast of all years. Can't wait! ( for the record, I know the history of it, prior to the 4 years sitting, so I know what I'm getting into, and what it's got.) Great vid!
@Ryan Snyder sadly, I found out the 05...is actually an 08. :( BUT, I guess to an inexperienced gixxer rider, thats splitting hairs. But I really wanted the stump pulling grunty beast. Which Im sure the 08 is..just not as much down low, but heard it makes up for it on top end? Either way, im excited to get it running.
I got one with 7000 mls on it, got it off a guy from a collection of 4 gixers out of his snooker room. It's unmarked as new, Going up in value every month.
Hopefully you didn't get douped, those tires were definitely used at the track and with the Scott steering damper and braided lines you gotta hope it wasn't a track bike that the owner took all the stock stuff off then put it all back on after to sell, happens more than you think those 8500 miles is like 85000 street miles lol
no ride by wire on the k6 so no auto blipper, but the quickshifter works a treat on myne!1.. it does make you go faster everywhere which can be a problem ... accelerating becomes addictive especially with a fruity race pipe...!!! I've had myne from new and just can't part with it _ would reccomend pc3, air filter. , yoshi trioval and 3 teeth up on the rear sprocket, that puts you where you need to be in real world performance and not far off more modern bikes!!
Have mine for 2 years and 13450 miles,, bought mine with 8500 ,, brilliant bike, ohlins shock, Ktec internals in the forks ,,Sato racing system, power commander,, it's a keeper,,get it opened up and see it in a different light 🚨,,, way to go,, great choice ☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️ from northern Ireland

That's low Miles I bought mine in 06 new still have it Its a legendary bike Mines modded over 50 000miles still runs great Bike is very low maintenance

@@ianmurray3820 3 teeth rear sprocket? Are you stunting? This bike will hit 90mph in 1st gear Why would you even think about changing the gears. Has alot of low end and mid range. If anything, I'd go down 1 gear in the rear sprocket
I have GSXR1000k6 with 22.000km. I bought it brand new from suzuki Greece for just 12.000€. For me,it's the best GSXR ever. Enjoy it and leave it as it is,completely normal...ok if you are Valentino,update it🤔🤔
Need to sell mine. Mint k6 with a Velocity stage 2 turbo kit. Same color, same miles. Stock height and I got the wheels painted white with flake to looks like a 600 that year lol. Don’t ride it, have a few other bikes

The tank is bigger & yes the low end torque is was different
Put a tre on it makes it much quicker down low and is cheap to buy easy install
