It makes me wonder if the tale was exaggerated to make Fritz seem worse. I wonder if he was a strong, brutal but fair King. Sort of Game of Thrones style King where most of the story is messed up but that's just the way things were.
Idk maybe I'm just too hung up on believing that Erens dad was the bad guy only for him to be revealed as a much more complex character. It makes me wonder just how bad King Fritz was

@@click8708 King Fritz was a narcissistic, pedophilic, greedy and a sadistic king like most of the kings at the time of middle age in our world were. But I have to agree he was the most successful in his reign. Marley hated Eldia for centuries because King Fritz used his concubine's and later her descendants' Titan powers efficiently to strengthen his kingdom.
So yes, he was strong and brutal but definitely no way in hell 'fair.'

Eren breaking down and crying about not wanting Mikasa to move on is a return of his old self. He had to change and be different in order to complete the mission. He had to hide away his emotions and his true feelings in order for things to happen, but him crying and whining about her is a version of him we hadn't seen in a long time, and I'm sure it's a version Armin also recognizes and knows it's the real Eren.
Also it's pretty common for men to be selfish with their women. Men don't like seeing their love or even their ex move on to someone else, so I also was amused seeing him act like a typical man afraid of losing her and her being happy with someone else. 😅

They also failed to remember that Eren was upset that he has to kill everyone outside the wall cause not all are assholes, he sees himself to be much worse than Annie, Reiner and Bert. He did something so monstrous that he was able to sympathize and understand his traitorous mass murderer friends.

This includes Floch supporters as well. All these people completely dismissing Eren’s goals and intentions by making it out as an act of destroying the world is so infuriating. And everyone talking about how the alliance was wrong are just as wrong thinking that the alliance aren’t loyal soldiers, when they *are* loyal towards humanity(this was also established in the first season by the way, and they had zero clue about what their nation did and just focused their attention on protecting what they thought was the last remaining people on Earth).

@@smokey12823The difference between Floch and the Survey Corps members of the alliance is that Hange, Levi, Eren and the gang actually spent months on Marley. That's why they were the ones who are most conflicted about Eren's actions while Floch doesn't mind everyone outside the Island getting wiped out. Even Eren himself was devastated that he had to do this to innocent people to ensure his friends would live long lives, he had no choice. That's why I'm a bit confused when I see comments or "what if Eren wins" videos.

@@andrewmiguelcastanas1446 Yeah and it also confuses me when they especially accuse the scouts and of being traitors to Eldia when their entire purpose was not to side with Eldia, but to serve and protect humanity. Them stopping the rumbling perfectly encapsulates their values and loyalty to the world that they’ve always wanted to protect. People being a Yeagerist and scout hater ignored everything told in the story, and it always pisses me off whenever the scouts are antagonized as people when it makes absolutely zero sense to do that. And wile Floch did not spend enough time on Marley to care for the innocents, that still did not stop him from killing innocent civilians even after he was told not to do that. And even after majority of the scouts did perish, he remained hot headed and argued with Eren himself at the capital. I believe it was bound to happen regardless of whether or not he was there since he was written to avenge their nation instead of being a reasonable soldier.

Well for Eren, people forget when the rumbling happens, he's only like 20 (if that even). He had his entire childhood ripped away from him because of this conflict when all he ever wanted was to live happily with his friends. Yet in his visions of the future, the only future he saw with his friends alive and happy was the one where he dies. We also learn his idea of freedom slowly warps into actually being suicidal. He feels as though he will never be free until he dies. That's a hell of a lot to carry around.
As for Ymir... It's easy for people to say she shouldn't love Fritz from the outside looking in. But most of those people also haven't been in an abusive relationship. I would think back to what Kenny said, everyone had to be drunk on something. The only thing keeping her going was the thought that if she was better, if she just loved Fritz enough, maybe he would love her back.
They could've ended this series 101 different ways and it still been good. While I certainly have my gripes about the finale, as characters, Eren and Ymir were not the problem imo. And the series ended in a way that was fitting for the overall message they meant to convey.

Yeah I agree, Eren was literally 19 when he died (so he would have just barely graduated high school) and when he was 15/16 he saw the future and realized he was gonna murder 80% of the world, which would probably mess with the mind of anyone, let alone a 16 year old with no parents who’s already seen hundreds of his friends die

  • @cynthiaquezada6982
    @cynthiaquezada6982 9 месяцев назад +3

Ymir loving the King was simply a young girl naive of love and thinking he would see value in her and love her in return.
She probably was treated somewhat better because she had this intense power and he probably manipulated her into following his commands by fooling her with fake love in return. I dont think he ever kissed her. I think that's evident since she saw Mikasa kiss Eren and that kind of awoken her. She has probably never experienced a kiss herself.
The King probably rewarded her with a better living arrangement and probably paraded her around next to him making her feel like she was his equal and making her think he is loyal to her.
But she saw how his attention was always elsewhere, and how he had ladies throw themselves on him.
She probaby put up with it and thought she was better because at least she had his children.
She was just a heavily fooled young girl and this happens in real life too.
Women get trapped in abusive relationships and think their abuser loves then when they actually dont.

All eren wanted to do was do the right things
He never wanted to be the king
    He swears
He wasnt stone cold, he was emotionally drained knowing what had to happen... he finally broke down cause he became what he didnt want to be... he wanted to let people live and be happy even for a bit, he lost it all, outside that wall, so they could live to die another day
The question of if i lose it all, slip and fall, will you laugh at me was literally something people did... people laughed cause he lost it all and fell, broke in front of armin, and spilled his final words for him...
Most of this all is actually in the lyrics to the rumbling, and kinda speaks on that side of eren that is locked behind his mindless murder cause he was truly mindless doing it, he didn't want to, but he knew he had to for even a small peace for a smaller moment

dude has no source to back it up. You can't identify anything in that scene. The manga's chapter 1 opens with Eren dreaming about a short-haired Mikasa bidding goodbye to him, very much in line with the actual ending. The original ending was confirmed by the author to not be too far away from the actual final ending.

  • @mad_hatter7956

Well, he used to be very open about his views to his characters and his plan for AOT. Like Eren never saw Mikasa as a love interest, mostly see her as a mother/family figure and Mikasa was just indebted with Eren because of how he saved her when they were a kid (and also having the Ackerman curse about being loyal for the person who saved them for almost dying) and will outgrow that obsession when Eren released her from that. Even how he planned Levi was going to die (now look what he did to him) so that the Eren and the others will grow. And his plan for Eren to die at the end. But many fans even his editor didn't like it, some fans even send death threats to him because of it. 😢. I really want to see what was his original plan looks like because it soumds more promising than what I saw in the ending.

I think eren is actually very well developed in the last season. Think this, he’s seen his fate, he’s seen how he has to do things. He knows he has to be the one to sacrifice everything so that his friends can live long happy lives. To make it easier for himself he blocks them off. Making them despise them but even in the end they struggled to let him go. What we saw of him spilling his emotions out was him showing off how he really felt. He wanted to live he wanted to be with his friends and he wanted to live and be happy with mikasa. Even if they were his “enemies” killing that many innocent people weighed heavily on him till the very end. I’d say the only reason why it didn’t bother him in liberio is because he’s literally seen worse in his memories. I actually think his character is really really good when you kinda do a deeper dive. He’s still the same eren but he’s definitely changed for the sake of his role that he’s forced to play.
