I used to listen to Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, and loved his voice and performances. Now I found in this Nooran sisters a similar passion and spiritual power performances. And I find very interesting this habit of money shower as a form of praise. Coming from a catholic upbringing where this kind of demonstration would be unthinkable, it remembers me of the blessings of diversity.
The money shower thing is too odd for me. It seems so disrespectful to me. I understand it is a different culture and not actually disrespectful, but I can't help feeling dirty watching it.
I have no idea what they are singing about, I don't speak the language. And yet, before bed every night for the last 2 weeks, I find myself watching the Nooran sisters perform. It's truly special, I know this.
