- In this video I go over the installation of replacing out old incandescent rope light with LED light. In this example I install white but could be done in many different colors. Installation took around 22 hours between two people.
Thanks for watching.

Epic content, I've never see a project like this from an installers perspective. This is very interesting 👍
Enjoy watching your videos. Very informative.
Cool video on updating the old lighting. Wanted to see how you got it in the window frames like that.
That looks really good. Adds a nice updated look to the inside.
Definitely!
That stuff makes such a difference in lighting. It’s also a great way to extend your battery life on your older small units that you use for dry camping.
Those look really good! Definitely going to hit you up for a led package on my next coach 👌😎
Brian, excellent video. I have a 2001 CC Magna and was just considering doing this last week. Thanks for the tips

Right on!
Another great video! You’re gonna be a winner on RUclips. Just Talk to us like we’re morons. Interject some elementary stuff, details. Where did the strip come from? Which strip? How to cut and solder the leads, gauge of the leads? Hot melt to hold it?
You’re onto good content buddy. Keep going.
Great info. Thanks
Spent a couple of weeks replacing the original incandescent bulbs with originals purchased from CC. Crazy expensive for those old bulbs and work was tedious. This is the way to go. Would like more detail on electric connections of strips to original wiring, position of resistors and how you position strips in window channels.
Another great video! I do enjoy watching them, that is a very nice coach. I bet the cat was glad when it was finished!
Brian, can you do a video on installing the latest wifi antenna/booster and router. Since most people aren't full timers, what is the best system for internet and streaming? Also, any suggestions between streaming and satellite service.
I work on that in the future.
Thanks for the comment.
Beautiful
Always enjoy watching! I've got an entire string out over the big slide, drivers side. I wondered if I could replace with an LED string.
Can those led lights change colors awesome video as well
Brian, I have an 03 Intrigue 40’ with 2 slides, can the wood valance at the top of the slide be removed? If so how? I just replaced the florescent lights in the valance over the couch with LED string and the valance just popped off with clips, do the larger slide valances remove the same way? I love the DIY videos showing upgrades on these great coach’s, keep them coming. Any detail you can show like how to get the false floors in the cabinets removed for access is great. I had to change the dimmer module over the couch and also have one on the opposite side under the cabinets but could not see how to remove the false floor to access it.
Nice video, thank you. Hey is there an LED strip that will approximate the much warmer (yellow) glow of incandescent lighting?
You can go with the warm LED and then you still end up adding resistors to make it the value that you would want it to be for brightness
Hey Brian
Great vids!
Can you tell me what LED product you are using?
They’re basically just to China LED we get from a local supplier is more likely find it from Amazon or eBay.
Brian; a little disappointed in the fact that you did not show people how to cut the led light strips and solder the wires on. I did all my lighting in our coach to led's and what a difference. All the accent under counter lighting I did in blue, which makes it nice at night. Blue over the valances as well. All puck lights were changed out as well. Not a big job and very doable for the average guy wanting to upgrade his/her coach. When boondocking, it helps with the batteries!
Just trying to keep video moving I'll try to cover it in a future video. Thanks for subscribing and comments.
Brian, I have an '05 Monaco Executive 45 CAQ and have some of the bulbs failing in the rope lights around our windows. I had thought about buying some of those 'wheat bulbs' and soldering them in where the originals have failed. Is that impracticable or not feasible? All of the LED's I have found are flat with the lights only on one side so how do they replace the rope lights?
I haven't done any thing with the incandescent light for a while. on using a led to replace rope I add a strip of Plexiglas in gap. You can email me at brianmoto773@gmail.com for more info.
Thanks
@@briansrvvideos Thanks Brian. I'll take a few photos and drop you an email. It may be a week as we're getting ready for a short trip this weekend. Thanks for the reply. Mike
What does something like cost to have done?
Plus or minus around $3000.
@@briansrvvideos not a bad price for that much work and time involved. I do have another question that I have asked others in the “know” about the coach world. Would it be better to buy a newer production coach or an older Newell or prevost coach for the same money?
I would rather spend the money on a nicer used couch in anything that’s produce today.
