How to make Solar Mobile Phone Charger

  • The circuit diagram of solar mobile charger consists of solar panel with control unit, fixed
    voltage regulators.
    The solar panel of 6V, 2W is used, the output of which varies based on the intensity of
    incident light. This output is regulated through a control unit and is stored in a capacitor. This
    capacitor produces an output of 5V which can be used directly to charge the load. A 5V fixed
    output can be obtained by regulating the voltage from capacitor using an L7805 voltage
    regulator and can be used to charge a 5V load. The battery can be regulated further to obtain
    a 5V fixed output, using 7805 and charge a 5V load.
    Components Required :-
    1. IC 7805 x 1
    2. Capacitor 1000uF x 2
    3. Diode IN4007 x 1
    4. Resistor 1K x 1
    5. LED x 1
    6. USB Female Connector x 1
    7. Solar Panel 6V 2W x 1
    8. USB Cable x 1

    do u need an ac current to charge mobile? as I hv heard it will ruin the mobile if it is not charged properly

      If you add a regulator to the circuit then it would be fine.

      You use 6V 10W solar panel for fast charging.

      The transitor 7805 has very low ampere .. less than 100 mili ampere so if you decide to use this circuit for charging 5000 mili amper cell phone battery you need 2 days to fully charge it !!
      So 7805 is not suitable for this project

      Yes, bro... But you can use 6V 10W solar panel and increase the current upto 1A to 1.5A

    But Mobile current requirement 5V 1 or 2 amp...

      You have used both capacitors 1000uF. Still Voltage is not stable.
      Then you remove the diode from the circuit. Then try using it.
