love this spin on the margarita. will need to try. sounds very tasty. its funny I like to add a little swirl of Amaretto to the top of my margaritas. thanks and cheers
Hi you could make your own simple syrup. 1 part water - 1 part sugar and heat until it goes clear. But you would and then test it until you got the desired sweetness. Or if you can get maple syrup. You can try that.
Haven't dropped by this channel in a while amazed to see how much it's grown Mr on the rocks!!! I was a professional mixologist for about 5 years in my youth and a lot of bars in my city (Sheffield, England) used to hire me to design funky drinks for them, original or unique spins on classics, so I figured I had a pretty good grasp on what flavours and spirits you could combine. Never in my mind would I have ever considered combining ameretto and tequila into something that actually works! If I ever go back into the business I know where to come for inspiration! Great video!
Seriously David, please come to Martha’s Vineyard this summer. I understand you’re from Canada but PLEASE, come to Martha’s Vineyard Massachusetts!!!! I have a bar you can make a video or two. My menu is made of +100 of your drinks and I want to pay it forward. Check your Instagram for details. Will make for a great video!!!
There is an easy one called a Kir Royale. Its 1 oz/30 ml Creme de cassis and 3 oz/90 ml Champaign. However you can use what ever fruit Liqueur that you like and a nice sparkling wine that mom likes :)
Hi David, I noted this at lunchtime, but no time then to comment. Now home and made to your spec. Delicious! Cold and refreshing, the salt really worthwhile. Nick from York
@@boozeontherocks Actually no. Everything else was spot on. The sugar is just a neat twist to it when you are expecting salt. I have also tried making them with the same ingredients as your regular margarita recipe but substituting the orange liquer (curacao, triple sec, what have you) with the amaretto. Leaving out the orange juice. It is pretty tasty as well that way.
This is a great margarita very amazing video David cheers ✨👏🏻💯
Thank you very much Keino :)
Que ricura de coctel. Lo acabo de hacer, lo estoy disfrutando en este momento y me encantó. Muchas gracias.
Bienvenido. Me alegro de que te haya gustado

Thank you very much.
I've never tried this one, but I definitely have to now! Looks awesome David!
Thanks AJ, I think you would like it.
I’m surprised you can taste the tequila with all that liquid
Its very light, but you could easily add 30 ml of Tequila if you wanted.

A margarita, yum! Happy hump day!
A perfect day to have one :)
Anything to replace the agave syrup? I am going all inclusive in a few weeks and syrups they do not have.

Nice one. Like your videos. I may go with little bit less orange :)
Absolutely, go with 2 oz/60 ml and see how you like it. or add more Tequila. If you do try it let me know what ratios you settle for.
When life give your clementines you make a cocktail ;)
Absolutely:) Clementines always call for cocktails.
Ooh, now that's an interesting little twist with the amaretto!
It gives it a really good spin.

Nick, I'm glad you liked it. Is there anything you would change about it?
Great cocktail, love the freshness of the citrus as well. 🧡🧡🍹 thanks for the upload David.
Your welcome, the freshness sparkles in this.
Now that looks like a cocktail for the hands of a Godfather, and I bet it tastes great too 😊🤤
It does Damo, You would like it.
DAVID!!!! This looks wonderful!!! Amaretto is something I very seldom use, so, yeah, imma use some to make this!!! Great video!! CHEERS!!!
TIM!! II hope you enjoy it
I have made this for a number of years but I use sugar on the rim instead of salt. It is a tasty version of a margarita. Thanks for sharing.
Your welcome Greg, Did you do anything else to the ratios of the drink?
