This, kids, is what we call an underrated RUclipsr. As someone who has "half ADHD" (as I like to call it) and perfectionism to the core, this video is top-tier content.

Your videos showed me that I'm not alone and that it is normal to have such problems. I hope that we can get better soon and that people start to learn more about ADHD because I constantly feel ashamed to complain or ask for help, unfortunately. Thank you

This happens to me a lot! Most of the time I don’t have a clue why I’m overwhelmed and melting down. I was diagnosed last year. At least now I know these meltdowns are part of the ADHD. It was almost impossible to pull myself out before I was diagnosed. Now I try to stop & remind myself that this is part of the way my brain works & that I have to slow down and take care of myself. Deep Breathing, Journaling, Cuddling with the Dog, Take a Bubblebath. Still trying to learn new coping mechanisms but at least it’s easier to recognize, acknowledge, and work to recover. Thank you for the video.

Yes we sure do! I love when you say I don’t know I forgot (about which day it was. That’s me too 😵‍💫) SO MANY CHOICES!!! I can’t even. I pick something and then I immediately think no I should have picked the other one, never good enough. Yes yes I’m not doing anything right. Girl, too much to write I agree with it all and have experienced it and I’m 46! Just diagnosed with type 3 🤯 fun times. Your video nailed it!! Thank you!

    - I do think it is a cycle
    - paralysis is shite but you did give a lot of good points in how to counter it which I'd like to regurgitate e.g talking to a friend/somebody.
An example I had recently was that I needed to go work, and technically I didn't need to leave immediately, but I had some kind of block in my head that felt like a headache but it wasn't. I was so resistant to just leaving the door, despite me being dressed and shoes on and everything. Then my mum called, and I spoke to her. I didn't tell I was was bothered about anything, mentioned that I'm just leaving for work. I was just talking, for like 10 minutes. Usually when I'm on the phone I like to pace around the room and do stuff so I guess that helped too because I made an espresso, drank it, and then when I hanged up. I just left for work. that mental block just vanished. There was no renewed 'motivation' or anything. It was cold outside but cold doesn't bother me. I simply didnt feel like going to work, then I did.
Weird thing now is since starting my new job, all I kind of want to do is go to work. I can't really be bothered with anything else. Just feels directionless. I can't be bothered with my hobbies, not really bothered about my friends. Not really bothered about the world cup (congrats to you btw France beat us 2-1 -_-'). Don't care about the money. I just want to go out there, and I feel like everything I do until work is just waiting to work.
And I know that feeling will surpass later, which goes back to my first point about it being a cycle as you asked. It's definitely a cycle, a stupid annoying shitty cycle. That we have to adjust and adapt to in new ways everytime it rotates an inch.
Also (sorry for the ramble) - with regard to basic needs. I think this is something probably men need to hear out more adamantly because it does go beyond just brushing your teeth and showering everyday. Are your nails trimmed? Do you need to shave (I mean like your face but I guess other areas too)? I personally can't enjoy life if I'm not perfectly groomed. It just bothers me too much. And I guess it's part of that perfectionist trap because even having bed hair annoys the hell out of me, but paralysis just makes me want to go back to bed. But fml it's liberating to be clean shaved (if you clean shave, trim if you have a beard whatever), face washed, hair blow dried (use the cold air button), etc etc. I dont know maybe it's just me because a lot of my friends are more blase about daily grooming but if it keeps irritating me throughout the day, then fixing it makes me feel better throughout the day.
Anyway yeah. I guess it was nice to verbalise how I've been doing and thinking for a while. So, thats my Ted Talk lol. All the best, Candice.

I always thought that something is wrong with me. I tried all the different productivity techniques, but eventually all of these solutions stoped working at some point.
When I saw your videos I was shocked how your experience and symptoms are similar with mine.
ADHD was out of my sight. Now I have the clue what it actually might be.
    Thank you
Also, if you would need to make motion graphics for the next videos, please let me know. I’ll help you

@@youradhdgirl hope you having a good day too.
The job I was working until recently took all the time and effort, so there are no recent or related projects that I can show you. But there are some old things that I’ve done.
Not sure that I can post a link in the comments, but let’s see. I’ll send the link below. If it doesn’t work I’ll also add a “Portfolio” link in my channel links, so please check it there in that case.
I think there will be no problem for me to create what’s needed. It's just a matter of time of googling the specific workflow or tutorial

Oh and I forgot to mention I am also a Virgo... so "perfectionism" is a double blessing and a double curse with having ADHD on top of that trait! Can you say "OMG"! ... at least that's what I say sometimes... LOL!

I always thought "ok, I can't have ADHD because people with ADHD are messy and I am not" but now I think "maybe I have to clean every f*ing day (sometimes twice) because I AM messy but as a virgo I can't bear it" haha

I'm like that too,a perfectionist with ADHD (Scorpio) & I clean a lot, but it barely stays clean for any amount of time. My half-sister is a Taurus & has ADHD too & she's a minimalist, perfectionist & neat freak. She also has OCD though. Lol
