CROSS COUNTRY USA ROAD TRIP (Part II: Utah and Colorado)

- Part II is here!!!! And it's epic. We left The Grand Canyon and booked it to Moab, Utah (5.5 hours) where we stayed overnight and then hit up Arches National Park early in the morning. Super hyped to check the Delicate Arch hike off my bucket list - it did nottttt disappoint! If you're showing up at Arches to do this hike, you NEED to get there before 7am to snag a spot in the parking lot. We got there at 6:30am and it was almost full. When we were leaving it was completely full and the parking lot area was flooded with people heading onto the trail. The line to take pictures at the mark doubled by the time we had taken our pictures. After the hike we packed up everything at the hotel and grabbed yummy coffees and bagels from Moab Coffee Roasters before hitting the road for another 5.5 hour drive to Denver. The drive is featured in this video and it is AMAZING! Video footage really doesn't do it justice. But if you've never done the 1-70 drive I can't recommend it enough. We had a whirlwind of a time in Denver - checked out the lovely RiNo district for the first time and went through the incredible Botanic Gardens the next morning before hitting the LOOOOONG road to Chicago. Lots to show you in this episode! Hope you enjoy :)

VERY COOL ERIKA! Lots of beautiful scenery in this country. Glad you are documenting this part of your journey and sharing with us!
Thank you 🤗 so glad you enjoyed it! I really loved all the footage in this one since I felt it truly captured the real life experience - which is hard to do. Stay tuned for Part III next week!
EJ girl, with a sunny personality, on the move pounding the miles out...how crazy the national parks are all overcrowded big time. I was planning a motorcycle road trip out to Moab and other parks in the area, but the crowds put a hold on that idea. Hopefully next year, Lord willing . Still Liken !
Thank you for watching and for the positive feedback 😊 always so appreciated! A motorcycle trip through the parks sounds amazing.. nothing like cursing through those roads.. I hope you get to do it soon!
The drive into Arches is so awesome! Great video!
Thanks so much! I loved the footage of the drive too! That sunrise lighting was everything 😍😍😍
Omg SO MANY PEOPLE 😩 at the arch!!!
I know right!? It was insane. Glad we got there early but if I ever go back it will be at like 5:30am 😂
My daughter and I did this same drive 5 years ago! We started in Vegas. Stopped at Arches. The hike up to the Arch was brutal, but worth it. You’re so right about the Moab to Denver drive. Breathtaking views. Stopped in Denver. Took in a concert at Red Rock. I dropped her off in Kansas City and then I drove through Chicago to home in South Bend. If you have time you should stop and see the Notre Dame campus if you’re coming through there.
Thanks so much for sharing about your adventure with your daughter! Sounds amazing. I've heard great things about the Notre Dame campus and glad it's confirmed here.. I'll definitely have to add it to my list for future travels when I'm in that area. I've always wanted to go to a concert at Red Rock! Who did you see there and how was it? Happy travels :)

Great video, amazing sites. I would like to drive cross-country sometime as well, been on the bucket list since long. We did the Delicate Arch last year in December in the evening though. The hike was kind of strenuous but fun especially the long and continuous rock gradient in the beginning and yeah it gets crowded at the top.
So glad to hear you’ve done the hike and that you enjoyed it! A cross country drive is definitely bucket list worthy.. what route do you think you’ll take when you do it?
