Why weren't the violent rioters in Portland and Seattle federally prosecuted? I can tell you EXACTLY why. They've installed crazy, activists for DAs and judges while we weren't paying attention, while many of us were raising our kids. Some were even so stupid that they voted people like Clinton, Obama and Biden, into office. Whether they stayed home on election day or cast a vote for those monsters, it's all the same thing!

I'm pleased that the right prevented his appointment to the Supreme Court, as I believe that had he been there, the next Attorney General might have struggled to hold Trump accountable. When they opposed this individual, little did they realize he could have posed a significant challenge for them. I support upholding the law, and I think he was the right person for the role.

Did you miss the part where he declined to charge Trump for the same offense that Cohen went to prison for committing on Trump's behalf, when they had more evidence on Trump than they had on Cohen.
Did you overlook the fact that he shut down all investigations of Trump and forbid news ones until he was humiliated by being lapped by the Jan 6th committee?
How about when he tried to force e Jean Carroll's lawsuit against Trump to be thrown out?
How about when he decided to ignore the results of the Mueller report?
He's done nothing to hold Trump to account.
And this appears to be fine with Biden.

If he wanted Smith to be independent, he would have deputized him as has been done previously when independence was desired, like when Patrick Fitzgerald prosecuted Scooter Libby.
Then Smith wouldn't have to go to Garland for approval on charging decisions.
I can't help but wonder what would've happened if "Mr. Freeze" Mitch hadn't blocked Garland's SC appointment. How many things would be way different?

Not quite, though It’s not accurately true in some cases, if not, most cases. That’s what an ideal equal justice should be or the US justice system still aspires to be. There’s still room for improvement.

The same way lawyers and doctors don't break attorney-client privilege. They have a code of ethics and they follow it. It's pretty rare these days so I could see why you would be questioning this. Merrick Garland said it's a policy not to discuss ongoing cases and he sticks to that policy.
How convenient! On going investigation AFTER they had a plea deal. Please enlighten us on how that works . You investigate long enough for statue of limitations to run out then agree to a plea deal on lesser charges that gets shot down by judge ( oh crap now we have to talk about it but wait ) appoint special prosecutor so you can say “ on going investigation “ whew they almost got us ! that’s what happen. Since when do you plea when investigation is still on going ? ... clue ... they don’t ever ! Critical thinking try it !

Typically, candidates announce their intention to run about 6 months before the election, especially for President. tRump knew he was going to be indicted for his many criminal actions, so he announced *18 MONTHS IN ADVANCE* of the 2024 election, thinking that, by declaring his candidacy, he would stop Jack Smith from indicting him. Obviously, he was wrong! DeSantis and all of the others filled suit and declared way earlier than is usual simply because tRump did,
The best time was on January 22, 2021. Jack Smith was not appointed until November 2022.
