there should be more supports provided for women to prevent incarceration. prison is a horrible place for women to deal with their problems. crimes should be punished but fairly. non-violent drug offenses should not be grounds for a woman to go to jail for a quarter of their life if not their whole life.
Umm it’s called equality, women and men should get the same amount of time for the same crime! But as we all know women don’t get sentenced as harsh as men.
You talked about women and that is good I am all for that but what the men who were wrongfully convicted that was deliberately framed and sent to prison for over 21 years I am one of those statistics. Keep up the GOOD WORK!!!
Why did u come to this video if you were gonna speak about men? Literally there is SO much coverage and attention on men's prisons and how horrific they are. But there is much less light shed on women who are in prison.
No, but as with men, many of the offenses are minor, non violent crimes. Because such is happening, that in turn, leads to overcrowding. Think about the cost of incarceration. As this speaker stated, it cost more to incarcerate someone than it is to send someone to Princeton.

@@Movemee387 because women always have to be the victim even when it happens to men way more often.

So women should be able to break the law and not go to jail?
