Opening to Treasure of the Templars (Indiana Jones fan film). Filmed on Canon XL1 and XL2 in desert outside Victorville, CA. www.TreasureOfTheTemplars.com
Thank you Westward thats very kind of you. The video was previously hosted by someone else but then got deleted so thats why so few comments I think. But thank you for your kind words - always appreciated. To my knowledge we are just waiting for a few FX shots to be completed in CA. Will update as soon as there is news :)
correct me if I'm wrong but is the character "Magnus" Magnus voller from indiana jones and the staff of kings. looks like similar clothing in the opening scene
I want to see it too, but a simple, "Please release it," is never going to get it released. This intro alone had to take ages to finish shooting, let alone editing.
I know I’m looking at this 5 years later but like at 7:18 that’s pretty brutal and even though Indy has a loose sense of morality, that’s still dark for him, other wise the film looks great.
No, not really. Most of the time, Indy has a gun at his fingertips, but if he doesn't, he'll find something else. Hell, he actually almost did this before. In Temple of Doom, when he was fighting the big Thuggee on the conveyor belt, Indy picked up a pickaxe, and was about to go in for the kill when the Maharajah stabbed the voodoo doll. It's not that this is dark even for Indy. It's just that he's never really had an opportunity to do anything like that. But, if he did, he wouldn't hesitate to go through with it.
This is actually really impressive. I can only imagine how much time effort and cash went into this. It really does feel like part of the Raiders universe. What part of Victorville was this shot? It looks great.
Nice job. Good action sequences. Other than the glaring continuity issue with the hat outside and then inside the grave at the beginning, I imagine too expensive to re-shoot and it’s not a dealbreaker :-) very enjoyable overall!
This is about 100,000 times better than Kingdom of the Crappy Plastic Skull!!!! Awesome. A film by the fans for the fans.....by the fans.... :D MORE PLEASE!!!! Much love, a new fan!
That was a temp score - The movie is getting close to completion. We have a full orchestrated original score by George Shaw. It is very much like John Williams IJ scores - I hope you will be pleased.
11 years later and I am finding this GREAT fan production! The website in the description for the full fanfilm is down and I haven't found it posted anywhere. What happened to the rest of this fanfilm? Anyways fantastic job! Most original and well executed fan production I've ever seen for Indiana Jones! It really seemed to capture the 'Adventures of Young Indiana Jones' feeling. Well done.
This was really really impressive. Would have been much better with out the bad music and instead with the John Williams score. Also, I cringed at the "I'm not a girl" line. But I really really liked the Belloq impression when he screamed "JOOOONNES!" and when all the guys were shooting at him.
I am almost done with the FX and most of the music is complete. We are have a 5.1 surround sound mix done too. No REAL date yet but we are working on this. HUGE undertaking in our free time.
10:33 Indy suddenly just punching a woman out of nowhere was surprising and gave me a laugh. It's not like Indy to do that, which made it more funny. The only other time he punched a woman was in Temple of Doom when he was poisoned and accidentally punched a waitress. Good fan film! (No, not because he punched a woman XD)
One of the better fan films out there. Acting and blocking are decent. I have to say though, the whole beginning is hard to swallow. Why would the bad guys bury him alive instead of just killing him first? Why did they bury him above ground? Why did they take the time to mark his grave? Obviously, Indy would escape that with minimal effort. Just kind of a dumb beginning with major logic problems.
Hopefully the not too distant future - as always its SFX shots that are taking the time from what I hear from the post production team. On the bright side part 2 will be the rest of the movie!
ok now
he even walked as Indy
YOU GUYS
THIS IS AMAZING
Nothing beats this version of Indiana Jones Fan Film!
Yes our composer, George Shaw, did a wonderful job with the score! I think it helps that he is a big John Williams fan himself
is it just me or did that guy at 6:47 sound like Harrison Ford?
Thank you Westward thats very kind of you. The video was previously hosted by someone else but then got deleted so thats why so few comments I think. But thank you for your kind words - always appreciated.

This is my favourite Indiana Jones Fan Film here!
very cleverly made....i'm impressed
10:11 jurassic park reference.
Nice work, especially by the Foley editor, music editor and photography people.
Great locations and stunts. One of the better Indy fan films out there.
This movies is too well made to be amatuer, well done fellas.
Better than he usual fan films out there, good cast and nice use of locations!
Don't forget great props and effects
@@grantmccarty504 And the actually original beginning for once :D
That was absolutely AWESOME! Very well done. I would pay to see the whole movie.
For a fan fiction film this is by far the best Indy i have ever seen. Congratulations! Can't wait to see the full movie ... :-))
Done very, very well. Good action, , acting ,wardrobe, locations and score. Keep up the good work.
correct me if I'm wrong but is the character "Magnus" Magnus voller from indiana jones and the staff of kings. looks like similar clothing in the opening scene
I see the passion for the character like it. Even got the punch sound effects.
Yes its still in post production. VFX take a long time when there is no money apparantly
I remember watching this when it first came out :/ everything was easier back then :(
This was fun, good work
I feel like the guy that got stabbed in the leg with the pick axe looked and sounded soooo much like Harrison Ford. I wish he played Indy in this.
Sooty Sine I noticed that as well.
Thanks - we really had fun making it
Now that is one good looking hat he's got or should I say fedora
Dang I really wish the film was released, if it came out I'd watch the whole thing. Please release it.
I want to see it too, but a simple, "Please release it," is never going to get it released. This intro alone had to take ages to finish shooting, let alone editing.
5:32 Forrestal from Raiders? The dead guy in the temple at the beginning?
this came out in 2011?! Its better than some fan films these days...
Lots of action 🙂😄
Oh yeah, I have to mention I loved the Kids In The Hall “I’m crushing you” moment :-)
Well done!!!
i think i first saw this like 7or 8 years ago and i still couldn't forget this vid I guess this is the goat of fan films
This was great!
Holy crap I live like 20 minstrel from where they filmed this
I know I’m looking at this 5 years later but like at 7:18 that’s pretty brutal and even though Indy has a loose sense of morality, that’s still dark for him, other wise the film looks great.

Awesome!
darn Smithers
the guy who played the indiana would make a great stunt double for harrison ford
This is awesome!
NEVER bring a gun to a whip fight
You can say that again.
Wow, actually some pretty decent attempts from a fan film at fleshing out the characters in it.
Good job!
Amazing. Just amazing. What was the budget? Also, when is the release date?? I'd love to see it.
Thank you!
Way too good for only 12000 views!
Excellent film, looking forward to seeing the whole thing.
so when is the fulll film realeased? or where can i watch it? this has been out for years now.
Well I can't wait to see more! You guys did really excellent work!
This is actually really impressive. I can only imagine how much time effort and cash went into this. It really does feel like part of the Raiders universe.
What part of Victorville was this shot? It looks great.
Off of Stoddard Wells road, west of the 15, near the abandoned mines you can see from the highway
this has been dragging on for years will it ever get finished and if it does will Disney put a stop to it seeing as Lucas is no longer in charge
This is REALLY good!
will this ever get finished and will Disney allow it
Nice job. Good action sequences. Other than the glaring continuity issue with the hat outside and then inside the grave at the beginning, I imagine too expensive to re-shoot and it’s not a dealbreaker :-) very enjoyable overall!
Please don't delete this good Indiana Jones fan film
Better than Kingdom of the Crystal Skulls
This was very good :)

That was a temp score - The movie is getting close to completion. We have a full orchestrated original score by George Shaw. It is very much like John Williams IJ scores - I hope you will be pleased.

This was really really impressive. Would have been much better with out the bad music and instead with the John Williams score. Also, I cringed at the "I'm not a girl" line. But I really really liked the Belloq impression when he screamed "JOOOONNES!" and when all the guys were shooting at him.
I pray to god that there will be a Indiana Jones 5
Hey, they made one already dude.
@@Patriot-Pal Well yeah, but I made that comment 11 years ago before the 5th one even happened
GREAT PROJECT !!! GREAT MOVIE !!!
Any news about the release date?
I am almost done with the FX and most of the music is complete. We are have a 5.1 surround sound mix done too. No REAL date yet but we are working on this.
HUGE undertaking in our free time.

Good fan film! (No, not because he punched a woman XD)
@FrictionControl: This was just an early test before SFX were finalised.
Has the full version been deleted or is it just not done

I would play indiana Jones in 6th film of the franchise trilogy
Megusta la película. Cómo la descargo
Was this all shot with the xl1 and xl2?
😃🤠Like. Good job dudes!!.
Yeah this is a really old fan film, and I would give credit if this guy is back.
Is there any way to view the fanfilm in this year? I would love to watch it but sadly, the website no longer works.
a lot of work. the fight scene is a bit long and contunuity of it kinda blur, but all in all well done.
Good. Job
so when is part 2
Hopefully the not too distant future - as always its SFX shots that are taking the time from what I hear from the post production team. On the bright side part 2 will be the rest of the movie!
kengawne so when will it be?
@lucastheblue Thanks you are too kind
No one was stupid enough to dislike
Yknow this could be the title of the fifth film
So if Indy sold him a whip this would be where Forrestal bought it.
Hmmm, that may be, oh well.
Not bad, I like Indy.
OmG
did you hear these happy wheels sound effects?
En es pañol
Megusta. Lapelicula
P.S The man in white looks a lot like Belloq. Would have been great if you had given him a smaller hat and an accent! Just sayin...
I hear happy wheels character noises
Oof. I hate to tell you, but I’m afraid your website has been overtaken. It’s… not safe for work.
