Dang! Phil is virtually immobile and his voice capabilities are savagely reduced but he’s giving it a red hot go & the fans love him for it. Gotta respect the effort & especially the lighting programmer who had to come up with some looks to fill in these musical interludes where there aren’t really any accents to key off of. The trap would be to overplay the lighting except with Genesis, the music is enough on its own to thrill the fans. The rig just hanging there is impressive enough. Adding lovely colours & gentle changes with SOTA gear is all that is needed to accentuate the music. Just beautiful. I remember the appearance of 300+ V*L1s in Australia in the 80s on the Invisible Touch tour, all of which were left behind after the Oz tour to start Vari*Lite Australia. It was an amazing show & unforgettable. I still have the local crew T shirt although it’s pretty ragged...😕

So you did the Hackett and Genesis Birmingham double? Me too! I preferred Hackett but they were both good.
