    Honestly, yes they fumbled their first game, but they delivered, and delivered and delivered, i respect that.

      Pritty sure sony fumbled the release they were paid by Sony and they pressured them to publish on deadline. Now they are standalone so i think/hope the release a „finished“ game this time

    Ima laugh if HG made up light no fire as a advertisement for their future no man's sky updates, then later in the year be like "nah, we couldn't deliver, game isn't ready, look for it in the next 5 years maybe"

    If the game is a Valheim with better graphic, a little bit more option for building your character... I'm gonna be fine

    Nah I’m chilling, I have faith in HelloGames. This is a Gaming Company that gives a fuck. They listen to their audience far more often than Triple A title companies do. Even if it appears Ass in the beginning, I have faith they’ll change accordingly to what we the players desire.

    If you think about it they are significantly pulling back their ambition when it comes to the size of the play world. So it may be more manageable and realistic for them. The size of no man sky is pretty huge but they were far more ambitious with the size of that game pre launch compared to an earth sized open world map. Granted I haven’t played any NMS so I’m just speculating.

    • @trumplostlol3007
      @trumplostlol3007 29 дней назад +1

      Size doesn't matter when it comes to a procedurally generated map. I suppose the map is procedurally generated just like the planets in NMS.

    • @ljsomething
      @ljsomething 28 дней назад

      @@trumplostlol3007 yeah thats true, the fact it takes place on one world should make it better too, I’ve heard that nms has pretty scarce mobs on most planets, so they’ll be able to really focus on the different aoi and mobs with a single world

    • @jerbart
      @jerbart 14 дней назад

      If the planet they procedurally create is too large, eventually the play base gets so scattered it may as well be solo or co-op, unless they make it easy to return to some kind of central hub(s) where most people will tend to congregate.

    • @ljsomething
      @ljsomething 14 дней назад

      @@jerbart I’m assuming they’ll have a tp or waystone type function, maybe once you progress and get further and further from your base there’ll be different options other than mounts. Also what if we get like light or aura mounts that can tp us or travel at high speeds through a wormhole or something I think there are many cool ways to implement faster travel if it’s a problem

    I'll be honest... i remember my friend (game developer) said he was impressed they kept working on no mans sky with how broken it was at launch and didn't just take the money....
    i was confused, because i basically told him why would they stop ?? at launch even with the cryptic marketing lies half/truths etc... they sold like 2 million copies in the first week on ps4 and that was priced 60 dollars --- that is 120 million on a budget of 5 developers making a game... even if sony kept 50 percent of sales for the marketing at major events that is 60 million split between 5 developers so 10 million minimum per person (rounded down from 12)
    if they put it in the bank interest alone would guarantee them to have 500k a year as a salary without changing anything which meant they could just keep ever expanding their game and make exactly what they wanted it to be... which thankfully is what happened ... to me this just means they (as developers) have earned their consumers trust that if they start a project they will finish it because that is what they want to do
    pretty much their next game will only not be finished if something unlucky happens to the developers

    Nobody can be 'worried' after what Hello Games demonstrated following No Man's Sky's miserable launch on its path to glory. Tons of content, tons of improvements, brutal possibilities in both gameplay and engine etc. - all free and modest, without pathetic hype and declarations. They simply buckled down and created a diamond. Among today's fashion of pathetic cries into darkness and greed (Starfighter etc.) where every DLC that adds two useless items and a map as big as a public toilet costs 20 euros, they delivered an entire universe. For free. And in doing so, they're like Sparta, who wiped out the Persians at Thermopylae like Germans did Poland in '39. So I think they've proven their character and capabilities, and whoever is still 'worried' must have at most a third of a brain and needs 2g of Zyprexa daily. I might as well be afraid to get out of bed in the morning because of nuclear holocaust - that probability is much higher.

    I'm interested to see what they do, even if the game releases and its lack luster like No Mans Sky was i will be ok with it. They proved they were dedicated to making the game better and have done so much with it as time has gone on. No Mans sky started off as nothing more then a "look a pretty planet" with next to nothing to do, now there so much to do you dont know where to start. Im hopeful for the game and cant wait to try it.

    If it has combat, I'm good. As much as I like sci-fi, NMS had very little combat. This game looks great but if all there is to it is running around building stuff with your friends, Minecraft already exists. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    • @kchuen
      @kchuen Месяц назад +2

      A lot more combat games exist than building games. But it's valid that you want more of that. I think it's equally valid that people want more exploring and building in this game too. Think the best way to decide this is there are very well developed systems in all aspects (combat, building, exploring, crafting, etc) and you get to focus on what you like and ignore aspects you don't enjoy.

    I've been playing No Man's Sky. Came to it way late, as it took me a long time to get a graphics card that could run it well.
    I actually find NMS kind of disappointing. Some game design aspects are frustrating or just weak. The space flight control and model is particularly bad.

    This entire video is irrelevant, you do not show the source you're quoting from, you do not show who actually says anything you're just reading ONE article ONE OPPINION. If I want to read an article I read the article and not watch a youtube video where I want to see your oppinion, you dont have one you just read someone elses opinion and THATS ALL YOU KNOW. If you do not know anything about hello games and the huge disappointment from No Man's Sky and their sub-sequential redemption ark to what the game is today and the obvious implementations they made to No Man's Sky because they are working on Light No Fire you can be hyped because what they've implemented looks amazing.

    It would be nice to know if there is any sort of OBJECTIVE to a game, unlike NMS, where you play a day and have done everything you can do in the game. Unless of course you want to do the same exact thing you did today, tomorrow on a new planet with a different look. Seriously, HELLO GAMES!!! HAVE AN OBJECTIVE!! HAVE AN END GAME!!!

      @jiruribakachan365 Месяц назад +1

      You do know that making a trailer takes time, during that time IN DEVELOPMENT what they are showing off could have completely changed. I do not want to see any trailers until they have a release announcement LIKE MOST GAMES DO.... You dont seem to know anything about videogame development, did you know that breath of the wild was in development for 10 years? "OOFFFF" it turned out to become the game of the year when it did release. The more time they don't show anything off the more time the have to actually MAKE THE GAME. This isnt like your normal shit Fifa games where they just change the number and you buy it again because you're a brainless zombie. they are building a game from the ground up, creating a world, mechanics, assets etc, it takes time.

      @@jiruribakachan365 "You don't seem to know anything about game development" BWHAHAHA!! Brah, 5 ffin years! You can't simply compare 1 game studio to another one you 1 trick pony!!! Duke Nukem Forever took how many years? Half Life 3 took how many years? S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 took how many years? Light No Fire had the smart idea to come and show us this trailer and then a year later they are GONE, well well well why gaslight gamers and show the next year nothing! "Making a game trailer takes time" BWHAHA! Yeah making a good FAKE gametrailer that is CGI takes time, we gamers don't like it when devs pull that trick on us. Look guys this cool looking CGI not in game trailer, yeah we not showing our real gameplay for the next 2 years. You are acting as a gameplay trailer takes 2 months to make, that is some next level dumbshittery if I ever heard one. Many gameplay trailers have the "this gameplay is not final and my have assets that are not in the game" disclaimer. Sean Murray pulling his gig again on gamers and we will tell him flat out in his face!
