Nice comparison. Traveller is supposedly a blend of Canadian Whiskey and Barton Distillate. Traveller is sweet and very light, which is great for a beginner. But at $40, I prefer regular Buffalo Trace for $28. 🥃
I don’t get it. Comparing 2 lackluster bottles against each other doesn’t really give us any new information. Should compare Travelers to $20-$25 bottles to see if it’s worth even close to $40
Actually you should have gotten a Canadian whiskey to go up against Traveler. Seeing how it’s a blend of Canadian and Barton. Just saying. I’m not a BT chaser so this is certainly nothing I’m interested in even as a joke. I will give do to the marketing team at BT they could put crap in a bottle and put BT on it and it would sell.
This whole “it’s not bad for the money” is kind of bs. Life is too short to drink bad whiskey. Just save up another $20 and get yourself whiskey that is actually good and worth drinking. Not this Travelers nonsense.
To be fair.... if you're looking at $30 bottles in store and say "Well that would destroy Traveller", I think that says more than blinding it against Total Wine's product line.
Old Grandad 114 is crazy good… I’d say it’s better than a lot of $60+ bottles that I’ve had. It’s a great bottle to pick up and cheap if you can find it!
Here is a match up for you. JTS Brown bib > Traveller Not even close, and you're talking $18>$40. I think the only worse celebrity whiskey I've tried is Proper 12 associated with Conner McGregor. Same below bottom shelf level though.
I like your take on this...I do agree Conrad, that Travelers at $30 would be ideal for the juice in the bottle, but you have to admit, at $40, there are so many other bottles that are better. I'd be interested to see a blind with Travelers, Buffalo Trace and a comparable Benchmark 🤔🥃
I like Traveller. I love whiskey at all proofs, but Traveller, to me, is a great beginner whiskey ...I think people are hating on it because it is made by a celebrity.....just my 2 cents
When Traveller first came out i didn’t even know who Chris Stapleton was nor did I even care. I didn’t even care what other people started saying about it as we all have different palates and I wanted to know for myself. I bought a bottle of the day it was released in Anchorage for around $33 with tax. Then I tried it and here was my first thoughts. Nose: grape, a light sugary sweet cherry and a very light vanilla. Palate: the sugary sweet cherry and light vanilla are barely there and there is this funky aftertaste that kind of stays with me not in a good way Finish: there really isn’t one at all. Overall: this one is really not for me, however I will revisit it a later time to see if it opens up for the better. Final thoughts: this is the type of whiskey you give to that one friend or family member that you don’t know why you claim them but you do, while you enjoy something a lot better. Then I recently tried it again thinking it could have not been that bad. I was wrong it was worse than the first time. It’s like that funky note was amped up to 10 and I poured the rest of my glass out. I think it very much deserves all the bad ratings it gets and then some. I can’t stand it and now I will either have to give it away or throw it away.
I just got my first bottle of 1910 and taste great love it, I flipped the bottle upside and inside at the bottom of the bottle stuck to the glass is what looks like bunch of little snowflakes, you know what that is ?
@jaketrat3725 I'd have to see it to try and be more specific, but it's common to have particles in whiskey. It can be from the barrel or compounds in the whiskey. Sounds like that could also just be flaws in the glass from something during the production of the bottle. Sounds interesting.
I picked up 3 at $34 each on a Dallas Total curbside haul. I gifted one to my son in law. I haven't cracked mine yet. The third bottle I'm planning as a birthday gift to my nephew. Thank you for the open minded comparison 🥃

It’s not a bourbon. It is a Blended American Whiskey. Go back and try it with something it is sitting next to on the shelf.
This isn’t bad whiskey, it’s just not good whiskey.

I'd like to see a comparison between Travellers and Green River. I'd do it myself, but I just won't spend money on 90 proof whiskeys. Cheers 👍😎🥃

that being said, I'm a big believer in trying something at least once for yourself. Maybe see if a buddy has a bottle open to taste it.

I appreciate your video....I definitely got flake for saying it was an easy and a good whiskey for new whiskey drinkers.
I used my bottle as a mixer but for 40 you can do wayyyyyyyy better

I agree with this comment 100%. 👍🥃
Well said pal, thank you for this 👏

I have to say, "I very much enjoyed this comment!"👍🥃
It's a good mixer.... that's about it
I’m curious what went wrong with those barrels so much so that they needed to slap a celebrity on it to sell it 😂😅
🤔 interesting...
Fair assessment 👍
You compared it to a bottle that comes with a coupon? Really?
🤣
Hard pass… However cool review as always 🥃
Thank you!
This was a great idea. Not great but good enough. Good video Better than most
Thank you... I think. 🤣👍
@@whiskeybonded is it better then crown 👑
Yes
It’s ok. I had 2 glasses of it and traded it to my buddy for a bottle of buffalo trace haha
I just got my first bottle of 1910 and taste great love it, I flipped the bottle upside and inside at the bottom of the bottle stuck to the glass is what looks like bunch of little snowflakes, you know what that is ?
Inside the bottle or outside?
@@whiskeybonded inside at the bottom stuck to the glass and it moves down when I tilt it , looks like sugar

Thanks for great comment!! 👍🥃
I just passed on traveler at Walmart for $27 I don't do gimmick bourbon. Its trash and bt should be ashamed of themselves
Soooo Traveller is better than overpriced bad whiskey. Gotcha 😂😂😂
Exactly! 👍🥃🤣
