Anyone who knows they’re getting a C section, please don’t only go by some people’s experience!!! I had a planned c section due to low fluid and a breech baby. It was amazing and it was not bad at all. Everyone is soooo different!! Just focus on your baby, you, and both of your health, it’ll all be okay ♥️♥️♥️
My emergency C section was great too. My daughter had the cord wrapped around her neck. She could have died or born with birth defects if I didn’t have a C section. She’s now in her thirties and has 4 amazing children. In fact, my natural birth with my two boys was much harder. (Not twins, I mean they were both born naturally and it was much more painful to my body than the C section was.)
I’ve had an emergency one that didn’t go well and a planned one that was like a dream. It was like day and night experiences.

Agreed! I had an emergency c-section after 15 hours on pitocin and while there was urgency, it was still a good experience. I think a lot depends on the Dr setting a positive and upbeat tone. She mentioned everyone was screaming during her surgery and asking where things were. Doesn’t sound like the Dr had control of the situation.
Yes! My first was an emergency csection and I had a planned one with my second and it was so easy and smooth.

Hey Trish! Mother-baby nurse here. You can absolutely have a scheduled c-section. No induction, show up, and go straight to the surgery. You can also also have a VBAC “vaginal birth after c-section” but they do recommend that you wait 18+ months before trying for a VBAC after c-section due to risk of uterine rupture so just keep that in mind if y’all are trying immediately! Good luck to you! ❤
100 % my twin brother and I were scheduled c sections. My mom pushed the date back 3 days because she refused to birth us on the same day as our cousin haha

That's why I went with a female gynecologist, I feel they understand what we feel and need. I can't say anything wrong about a male doctor. It's just women know women. I felt totally 100% more comfortable with a female gynecologist more. My opinion only
Same here. That’s why I usually feel more comfortable having a woman as my primary care physician as well.
Most importantly, I finally have doctors who listen to my concerns and don’t dismiss my nervousness at appointments. The first time I got a pap smear I freaked out and I couldn’t go through it. Previously doctors and nurses told me to just relax, which did not help. The doctors I have now tell me what’s going on, ask me if I’m doing okay, and tell me I’m doing great. Having an understanding physician is so important.

I have a male obgyn now and I had the opposite experiences with the female obgyns I have seen. Where they have told me to just relax and such. My male OB he has been so helpful and listens to my concerns!

I have anxiety (and dermatillomania) and I still panicked a little when my throat, chest, and arms went numb but it made such a difference knowing that it could happen and to be mentally prepared for it.
