    Rewriting history to fit the narrative you want eh? You did not rush to the hospital, you did the exact opposite knowing full well you were high risk. You have never acknowledged how wrong that was (but you never acknowledge anything.) Now you hold resentment for Wes, even though YOU are the reason things went wrong. Then you spent all of four hours in the NICU every day, while going around to target and getting sushi while you had, again, high risk premature twins in the NICU. It’s disgusting.

    • @ella9223
      @ella9223 2 года назад +9

      the only slightly valid argument here is not rushing to the hospital. how does she 'hold resentment' for wes? seriously? and im extremely confused by the point youre trying to make about the nicu. there was not a single day she wasnt there. her and erik combined were there for majority of the day. and to claim that she was the reason things went wrong. how disgusting. it was not her fault that her water broke early. or that the twins were in the nicu for 2 months. those were out of her control! and its not like she was able to spend the entire day at the nicu when she had a little boy at home that - as much as erik and her family were there to help out and watch him - she still needed to care for. its as if YOU are ‘rewriting history to fit the narrative that' YOU want. go find someone else (that's ACTUALLY problematic) to criticize.

      @@ella9223 her own vlogs from the time show she was only up there 2-5 hours a day at most and that outside of a few days she and Erik went together. She has a vlog dedicated to her bitching about the fact that the nurses wanted her to be there more. And the favoritism is plain as day. Even in this video alone any time she talks about Maisy she's bubbly and any time she talks about Wesley she sounds annoyed. She got emotional talking about Maisy's health struggles but Wesley almost died and she didn't even mention that, or his surgery. She sounded so excited ay Maisy's observational milestones and dismissed Wesley's "traditional" milestones. Again, that's just this video. There's countless examples in countless vlogs. And if she didn't hold resentment towards Wesley she wouldn't be saying that he forced his water to break (which by the way it's her water not his) or that he let his cord prolapse as if he had some choice in the matter. On multiple occasions she's flat out said it's his fault Maisy was born premature. This stuff IS problematic.

      @Juwlz 2 года назад +29

      @@AshleyVlach you'd be surprised. When my sister in law went into labor at 33 weeks, she was not as alarmed either, watching Colleen heartbreakingly realize just how tiny and just how serious and severe this was, it's very clear on the vlogs she had been avoiding reading too much on the topic. She says in one of the videos that she intitially thought after arriving to the hospital, that they would monitor her for a few days, give her steroids to strengthen babies lungs and then she would have a C-section and it would be ok. I think having Flynn at around 35 or 36 weeks and him being completely healthy and fine and able to go home and not need any help, despite being a month early, can also distort your understanding. This was the case for my sister in law. She had two babies back to back, they are 11 months apart in age. Both were premature but the first one was born at like, 35 weeks and he was small but ok and able to go home quickly and not be in the NICU but her second baby was born at 32 weeks(well 32 and a half) and if you arent someone who spends their time reading a lot about pregnancy and development, if you just aren't the type to handle medical stuff, it just sounds like a few weeks difference and it's easy to tell yourself it's not THAT MUCH earlier than the first healthy premature baby, which is obviously a very very incorrect assumption to make, those extra few weeks are so critical in preparing baby for the world, but like Colleen, my sister in law wasn't at all prepared for the vast difference in having a 32 week baby and a 35 week baby. Her second baby was flown in a helicopter to a better hospital shortly after birth and was in the NICU for a long time. I vividly remember her being like "I don't get it. I don't get why he's struggling so much more than Cade did"
      I think both Colleen and my sister in law understood that a 32 week old baby would be very small, but I don't think they understood how very different of a experience having a baby born around 35-36 weeks can be, compared to 32 weeks and that the first premature baby experience going smoothly, gave a false sense of "ok this isn't good but it's going to be fine"

    • @user-vd4fc8wh5p
      @user-vd4fc8wh5p 2 года назад +16

      @@Juwlz I agree with you that sometimes people behave differently in the moment than they should. But to say she didn't know how serious it could be is false.
      She said at least a couple of times in the days or couple of weeks leading up to the birth that she knew she'd probably need a c-section, knew they would be premature and need the nicu, she knew Wesley was breech, she knew she had cholestasis (which she had with Flynn and so was aware of the seriousness of it), and to top it all off she'd been having contractions all night. So when her water broke she would immediately have known that the contractions she thought were Braxton Hicks were actual labour contractions and that she'd been having them for hours. With a breech twin pregnancy at only 32 weeks. How you don't rush to the hospital at that point, especially after speaking to the doctor the first time... I can't get my head around that.
      Even if she did think they were just going to monitor her as she said in a later video, idk, maybe make priority one getting to the hospital per your doctor's orders just to be sure everything's ok and then do your hair and makeup in the hospital bed if you have to. Why even take the slightest chance, you know? It's not like she didn't have the info.

    I love how this video came up on my recommendation. I stopped watching your videos for a while because I wanted a baby so bad and I was just binge watching your videos, but then I was getting upset because I wasn't getting pregnant. Now, I'm almost 26 weeks pregnant with my first baby. I'm having a little boy, but my baby has CDH (which means he has a hole in his diaphragm and his stomach and intestines are in his chest, which compromises his lung growth and his heart). We just found out the process that will be going on after hes born, with all the procedures hes going to need, but I also learned most likely I'm going to have a c-section. I'm completely terrified and stressed all the time, because he can end up being in the NICU for months, they said maybe close to a year, depending on how he's progressing, or that he won't cone home at all. Seeing NICU babies go home is comforting for me, and even though my son and the twins are going to be in different situations, it gives me a bit of hope for my boy.

    Genuine question: When you say Wesley broke your water, dropped your cord, etc., do you believe he did those things intentionally? I've never heard anyone speak about babies in this way and I'm legitimately interested in whether you believe he or any baby is capable of critical thought and decision making.

      Anything to evade an ounce of accountability 😅 so better to blame Wes than be honest that she did indeed NOT “rush to the hospital.” She called Kory, she ate a hot breakfast, took her time straightening them curling her hair and only after her doc called asking where tf she was did they go to the hospital, where within minutes was rushed to an emergency c-section. SHE is responsible, not Wesley. This is a damaging narrative to continue to spew.

      … I did hear from a handful mothers talking about how their kids broke their water by kicking very hard, so „blaming“ kinda, I mean no idea about critical thought but kids can react to sounds and food by kicking or boxing ….

      @@shihalya Sure, but she’s perpetuated this ‘Wes broke his water and endangered Maisy’s life’ since they were born. It’s not a joke atp it’s a narrative that is untrue and not fair, as a literal preemie did no such thing. She also did not “rush to the hospital,” is imperative in regards to her narrative. SHE was the risk to their lives, not Wes, if she’s gonna try to pass blame onto someone. Rather just say it was high risk and thank gosh they survived. Not ‘Wes broke his water, let his cord fall out and then I took my sweet time to get to the hospital, but yea Wes nearly cost Maisy her life.’

    Honestly, I think most of her predictions were very vague and logical based on what she knows about twins and you specifically, but I'm glad her readings have brought you joy and comfort! Always fun to have a psychic reading.
