Another way to display those vintage tree toppers is to put a long dowel or stick or whatever in the length you need in the bottom and stand up in a vase! then you can fill it up with some tall candy canes, or take some evergreen or pine boughs and cut into the size to fit the vase to fill it up, or seasonal fake flowers from dollar tree!
Learning Mr. Turtle has more talents!! I loved your little bird ornament I remember leg warmers!! Enjoy all your great ideas. We are calling for temperatures below zero in The Appalachian Mountains. I love mushrooms.❤ Hope you stay warm. Rain this morning. Until next video!!😊
The Honey Bunny Crew has taught Mr. Turtle to jump! The bird ornament came from thrift store shopping, so pretty! I hope you stay warm and comfy as the temperature drops in your area. Have a great day!
Thank you! The corner seemed so empty in the living room. Now with the feathers, it feels more vibrant! Adding the shelf in the hallway kitchen area is working out great so far!
@CareFreeLivingChannel there is never enough storage space. I'm wanting to add 2 upper cabinets in the kitchenette downstairs in my home. Mom is currently staying down there, which is really ground level and I could put much of her medical supplies up. I'm saving up to refloor the hallway since the floor is weak and have the house painted since I can't climb due to health problems. It's always something when you have a house. I need a new washer and dryer, microwave and stove. They are all going out at once. We have spent so much money having the dryer repaired that we could have bought a new one.
Hi Sarah! I love watching your videos! I also love all of your recipes :). They always look so good! I've never had those types of mushrooms before, but now I'm curious to try them. I am lucky we didn't lose power last night since I live in the western part of town and most people in my area lost power! We had a tiny coating of freezing rain/snow. Oh West Texas! We aren't well prepared for snow and ice, I'm learning. I wish we had a year-long tree, but I wouldn't know what to do with it during spring/summer! Any ideas for spring/summer decorations? We have a tall skinny tree that is flocked and I think it would look good year-round if it's decorated right. God bless you and I hope you have an amazing week!
I'm happy to know your power stayed on! I was lucky, too, when the snow arrived, the power only went out for a few hours. On decorating, I'm thinking about doing some living room changes just to refresh the space a bit. It's always nice to spruce up the place! I'm missing my Christmas Tree and would love to get a little tree just to see it lit up at night! God Bless You, too and stay warm!
I love your winter tree and your re-organized shelf unit. The antique tree topper was beautiful. I also collected older Christmas balls from thrift stores. They don’t have to be perfect for me to love them. After this chaotic week, it was nice to sit a spell in your cozy home.
Awww thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed my Snow Day Vlog video. I love getting ornaments at the thrift store, too! The tree toppers are pretty. I'm happy with the shelf in the kitchen hallway area. It's very helpful!
Poor Mr. Turtle frozen in the snow. I think he's the greatest . You are too Sarah. Hope you don'rt get too much snow. Diane and I love your videos and look forward to seeing you twice a week. Stay healthy. BOBZ and Diane.
Awww thank you both BOBZ and Diane! I'm happy you enjoy my videos and Mr. Turtle. He is such a fun little friend. I was trying to recall when I got him. I think it was 2023 at the dump, but seems like I've always had him. He's a permanent fixture at my trailer!
Good Tuesday evening Sarah, hope are staying warm, it has been very cold here, will be -8 tonight, thankful for the woodstove. Off to watching your food pantry haul. Stay safe and warm. God bless.
Hi Sara! Wow you got some real cold temperatures! It was 13 degrees this morning and I thought that was cold. I'm so glad you have a wood stove, I know that must be a great help to your home this Winter. Enjoy tonight's video, Sara and stay warm. God Bless You!
The penguin ice bucket was a great vintage find at the thrift store! It's from the 50's or 60's. A very well made item, built to last. The tree toppers are so pretty, cannot wait to use them for Christmas 2025!
Oh I bet he's adorable with his little ribbon added! Thank you so much for watching my video. Mr. Turtle is a fun addition to my life! Have a wonderful day!
Love watching your channel. Have you thought about putting open shelving in your kitchen for more storage. You can get brackets pretty reasonable and some wood from Lowes for the shelves. I think Lowes will cut the wood for you for free with whatever measurements you need.
Glad Mr .Turtle got thawed out. I think the bunnies need some carrots so they’ll leave Mr. turtle alone. It’s cold here in Alabama but in my area we haven’t had any snow yet thank goodness but I’m ready for some warm weather. It’s supposed to be in the 20s here next week and I am so tired of dripping my water so the pipes don’t freeze.
The cold weather has arrived! But the snow is melting, yay! I hope it warms up for you soon. Mr. Turtle is good and thawed. He's relaxing with the bunnies, enjoying his inside time!
I always saw your little hot plate, but I didn’t realize you didn’t have a stove. I guess I thought my stove was small but you really only need two burners. Glad you have it.
@ it works that’s all that matters. I have a little stove and I only use two burners at a time no more than that and most of the time it’s only one burner.
@ Mondays eight as a high I do Uber eats so I’ll be busy as long as I don’t fall down on ice again will be good. I’m retired, but I hated retirement so I do Uber eats now for something to do.
i'm late, i'm late for a very important date. your home is so cozy and inviting. looking like big winter in your area. i'm in central california so no fires here. i have a friend who lost her home but got out with somethings and her cats. fortunately she has a place to stay and is starting her life over. she had a pet sitting business and etsy shop. all her clients lost their homes and all her etsy merchandise is gone. multiple that by thousands and it is so incredibly sad. my eye surgery went well but it is slow healing so i hope my vision will get better. i miss being able to drive. i am back to going thru things for donation. hoping to find a good sale on the curtains for my living room. i hope you stay warm, cozy and well. now if mr. turtle can resist temptation for the honey bunny bunch, life will be good.
Hi Karen! I'm sorry to hear about your friend's loss of home and business. I cannot imagine the devastation California is going through. I'm glad you are safe and well. Also, I hope that your vision continues to heal! Mr. Turtle has had quite the adventure in the snow. He is relaxing with his Honey Bunny friends, living the life!
Hi Sarah! Fun video! 😀 Your critters must have trailer fever. They were quite mischievous. Are you off pepper? I noticed two meals without the pepper song. Have a great weekend! 👋🏼
Hi Judy! I am almost out of Pepper! I still have some but it's getting low. I might need to run to the store! Yes, my little furry friends do have cabin fever just like me. I need to get out and about. The snow put things on hold for a bit but things are getting back to normal. Have a wonderful weekend, Judy!
On your sagging curtains. Can you screw cup hooks in the ceiling above the middle of the curtain where it's sagging. And then take some fishing line and with a needle go through the curtain material and tie onto the cup hook. That should stop the sagging.
Enjoying your videos. I watch on the TV . The snow looks pretty. We are remodeling a house in Florida. Not sure what State you’re in? Makes me think of NC where we lived while my husband was in Afghanistan. I’ve lived frugal all my life. Enjoy people who are real. Wishing you a blessed 2025.
Thank you so much for watching from beautiful Florida! I'm in the Southern East Coast. The snow is very pretty, I enjoy it until it's time to drive! Have a great night.
Sarah you have a beautiful home I would love to help you I sewed for 30 years the last 20 years I worked I maxed curtains bedding and pillows I loved it too .i would hook you up hugs 🤗
Awww, you're so kind, thank you for your sweet words! I'm going to be working on repairing a vintage quilt the size of a throw blanket. I'll try to show it in future videos. When you see it maybe you'll advise me! It's from the 50's.
I love the handbag too! Mr. Turtle is a very professional Guard Turtle for the front porch but when he's around all these bunnies, he cuts loose and starts getting into things. He's trying to hop! Imagine that, a turtle that hops!
Thank you, Tink! The tree toppers are so fun. I may look for a more sturdy Christmas Tree to support the tree toppers. They are so delicate and fragile! Have a wonderful evening Tink and stay warm!
I always hated to take my decorations down. On to Valentine's day. One year I left my tree up and made it à Valentine's d ay tree. Lot's of fun. Take care.
Maybe I'll pick up a little tree somewhere, just to have something! Hey maybe I'll get a real houseplant tree, although I don't think I have enough sunlight. I miss Christmas already!
How funny, I have the same exact tin as you just a much smaller one. It was on the third shelf after you did your rearranging. I found mine at a thrift store here in PA. I didn’t think I’d ever see another one, I had no idea how old it was or what it was from. Just thought it was cool and I use it for my dice.
Me, too! I love Christmas time but it gives me something to look forward to later on this year. I've got to figure out how to use the vintage tree toppers Big Man got me. I may need to upgrade my tree to something more sturdy! Maybe I'll find a new-to-me tree at the thrift store or the dump or on sale!

Goodness Mr Turtle & the critters are ready for adventures 😄❤
Oh yes, Mr. Turtle and Friends have their own adventures when no one is looking! The Honey Bunny Crew has taught him to hop!
@ 😂😂🥰🙏
Glad Mr.Turtle was able to come in.
That Mr. Turtle sure is a happy boy inside!

What a great idea, thank you! I may try that for Christmas 2025. The glass is very delicate, cannot wait to use them!
I just love Mr. Turtle.
Mr. Turtle is the best! He brightens my day, too!
Is a flower garden I'm glad to see that you save those eggshells good calcium in there for your plants for the spring that's lovely
Planning for Spring! It is right around the corner!

I really like the feathers in the corner and the shelf in the hall.

I love Mr. Turtle 💕 poor little guy, I hope he survived the 🧊 ice
Mr. Turtle sustained no injuries from the ice and successfully thawed inside the trailer!

I love Christmas pajamas! I got mine thrift store shopping, they are my "go to" accessory!

Thank you so much!
yaaaay
Enjoy tonight's Snow Day Vlog video!
@@CareFreeLivingChannel always do!
That meal look do good 👍
Awww thank you so much! It was really good!
You need to place a long nail in wall under the middle of your curtain rod for support in the middle. I've had to do that many times.
Thank you, Lois, that's a good idea. I think I've got some long nails. I'll see what I've got to work with!
Oh my, that shelfing unit with the water and skinny pop looks great there. It looks very useful.
Thank you! I like the shelf right there, too. It's very useful to put things on that don't have a "permanent" home!
Poor Mr turtle!glad you rescued him. He needs a lady friend!
The snow must have melted enough for Mr. Turtle to slide right off the ledge! He's all better now, warm and toasty inside the trailer!
Love watching your channel. Have you thought about putting open shelving in your kitchen for more storage. You can get brackets pretty reasonable and some wood from Lowes for the shelves. I think Lowes will cut the wood for you for free with whatever measurements you need.

I loved the cooking video. Thanks for sharing.
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I hope to add more home-cooked meals into my vlogs and food pantry hauls. We shall see how that goes!
Thanks, Sarah! You always add a bit of peace to my life.
Awww thank you for sharing that! I'm happy you enjoyed my video tonight!
I got my Christmas pajamas on all year long. They’re warm. I had our high is 24° tomorrow.
Oh 24 degrees is cold for sure! Stay toasty warm!

@CareFreeLivingChannel i wasn't sure about the ceiling either. But it's worth a shot.
Very nice hand bag❤
Thank you! Big Man has good taste in getting me gifts!
