Hi guys, peppy has informed me that the tempora_timer tag should not be included in ranked maps, so it can be removed from exported maps until Tempora is changed to no longer include it. You can still mention Tempora in the map's description. The tag was intended as a way to help mappers discover Tempora and to be able to identify the impact of the programm by making it easy to see which songs now get mapped because of it, but oh well...
Thank you so much for creating this tool, all this time I've been timing in the editor with placing red lines by ear and calculating the bpm by hand (k*6e4/(t_2-t_1) where k is no. of beats between t_1 and t_2) and it takes FOREVER. With the waveform visualisation in Tempora it's so much better.
God damn this is sick, probably my favourite bit about this is having a visualisation for lining up the downbeat rather than doing mental gymnastics on & off, trying to line up the beat to be exact.
it's real, i can time some BPM crazy musics like minefield surfing also knowing some DAW and music production theory really helps, since the metronome should start not right when the beat is 'peaking' in, but rather at the start of the wave. that's why there is the RC saying "All clicked parts of objects must have at least one hitsound which has a clear impact, whose peak is delayed no more than 5 milliseconds, and [...]"
1 month ago I literally gave up on a map 'cause I was in pain setting up all the timing points I'll sometimes soon try again with this tool, but man, what a great idea and useful tool !!!
very interesting idea, maybe in the future this will be the way people time songs. I've been timing songs for few years now and what I've noticed is I tend to use the 25% or 50% on the osu editor for the playback to make it accurate as possible so I found using this software quite hard and inaccurate because you cannot do that, my ears cannot hear if it's on time or not with the 100% playback speed if there is anyway for you to make it so that you can see the song's spectrogram of the drums only for example so you don't even need to listen to the song to be accurate that'd be neat
you could just convert the osz to quaver using the ingame settings which gives you the timing points in quaver (note that you do need to readjust offset again)
Have you considered adding a second preview of the waveform with a high or low pass filter applied, a bit like in DDream Studio? Would be very useful for identifying beats
TEMPORA isn't so great? Are you kidding me? When was the last time you saw a piece of software with such timing ability and ease of use? osu!lazer puts the game in another level, and we will be blessed if we ever see a program with its skill and passion for the community again. quaver breaks records. adofai breaks records. Tempora breaks the rules. You can keep your statistics. I prefer the magic.
I'm not sure if this has been a prescient issue for others but I often find crashes to be an issue. I'm not sure what the cause could be, I don't know enough to say it's a memory leak or not (assuming not) but I have to use task manager to close it fully and even then it can take up to a minute or so to actually close the hung window.
seems really promising, is there a page for bug reports tho cause i tried to use alt + scroll wheel like the help menu said to change bpm of the last timing point and it crashed

omg this is the most helpful tool i have ever discovered in my life wtf
insane tool
thanks
you know what would really help me seal the deal on this? Having the ability to switch between a waveform and a spectrogram
ngl this looks crazy good, will be using this ty 🙏🙏
i just timed a 9 minute glass beach song in like 15 minutes with this wtf
amazing
finally a tool worth using!!
hopefully mapsets will be rankable with the tempora tag as well
I got Call Me Al ranked with it, so I think it's fine :)
1:16 who's mapper 2 bro he's the goat
this is crazyyy
This software looks like such a godsend. Any chance you'd consider adding support for Quaver?
you could just convert the osz to quaver using the ingame settings which gives you the timing points in quaver (note that you do need to readjust offset again)
Will keep it in mind!
ah yes the problem solver, you find a problem, then solve it yourself
jesus christ this is brilliant

RAHHHHH AINT N OWAY
dropped a nuke at the end of the year 🔥
cool

yeh, you can post it in the github issues or discord channel
It doesn't let me put songs. Do I have to do anything else than clicking on the exe??
I tried dragging the audio file and opening it within the program and it still doesn't work. It just shows a 160 tempo beat.
It doesn't let me put mp3 files that are downloaded from cobalt, don't know why
it's a known issue. try to export the audio files with Audacity
ur just the fucking goat
make it possible to import osz file directly pls
On the to-do list :) might take a while, it's not a small task
i alt scrolled and it crashed :)
edit: task manager cant close it.
please make playback speed not distort audio!!!
Thanks for the feedback! If you like, you can make a feature request thread in the discord so it's easier to keep track of :)
Will it be open source?
ya, I decided today to open-source it github.com/teamkongehund/Tempora
this is an awesome tool but sucks that it's for osu only :(
tempura
