Felt like Atlantis stuff could have been an entire episode on its own instead of also squeezing Doc Seismic, Darkwing II, Shapesmith and the Martians, etc. in as well. Still I kind of appreciate how they’re trying to get these single/ 2 issue arcs from early in the comics out of the way sooner so they can leave more time for the early arcs about the sequids and the Viltrumites. Personally I hope we see stuff like Oliver’s introduction sooner rather than later.
There's only like 10 episodes per season, they can't afford to give an entire episode to the fish people subplot. I think they gave it exactly as much screentime as it merited, no more and no less. Oliver will probably appear next episode.

He also said this wasn't the deal he was told by the fish people. Cecil is looking out for Mark. He only has ONE of him. Mark is valuable. He can't sacrifice Invincible. Yes, the fish people have power but sacrificing the ONLY viltrumite he will ever have control over is a HUGE asking price in and of itself. Especially when an invasion of the things is coming.

My main gripe with this segment is that the changes are done poorly and it either makes Cecil look unintelligent (he sent Mark on a diplomatic mission with outdated intel) or create a big problem (the fish people controlling the oceans and possibly deal great damage to land and/or naval transportation), on the other hand, the only purpose of it in this is to see that viltrumites are vulnurable to sonic damage, I'm not gonna make a big deal out of it, I forgot about it until you responded to my comment.

Just because an episode doesnt cover comic content doesn't mean its filler trash nobody cares about. This episode fleshes out the world, gives insight to new character dynamics and growth, and forshadows upcoming events. It matters in the grand scheme of things so its literaly by defenition not filler. The invincible tv series is its own thing.

I doubt it mark was fighting it underwater it probably isn't as efficient on land and mark was casually hurting it
Considering it can generate Sonic vibrations, it can capitalize on Marks biggest weakness unlike Hail Mary which relied on brute force.
