I suspect the working in catering bit was actually true though. Possibly even the Mayflower bit. In worst case even the spilling of red wine and canapes. Just not the firing by Alan Sugar part.
I thought it was a lie when he described the cloths he wore and the exact drinks he spilled, how many, what she wore. He knew he was the host but yet didn't know who he was until years later. The lies are in the details. But was good.
0:53 "What was the name of the catering company?" "Oh god. Mayflower. Well done". That part always makes me laugh. It's like Martin is complementing the guy from nearly catching him out, but manages to remember and clutch victory from the jaws of defeat lol.
Well, this was an unexpected twist, I wasn't expecting Martin Clunes to be quite so sharp witted. And it made me unexpectedly happy for some reason
Seems like a lovely guy too.
That was utterly convincing.
Everyone picking on Rob at the same time was very funny and entertaining to watch 😂😂
he is a knobhead at times.
Could have been worse; could have been hired by Alan Sugar.

He was actually fired by Donald Trump.
Probably the most convincingly-told lie the show's ever had.
You ruined it! 🤣🤣 I shouldn’t have read the comments…

Except for going Lee going to the royal wedding
My personal favourite is the one with Charlotte Moffat where she convinced everyone that her roommate was a northern Irish presenter 😂😂
I’m going to cast a vote for Claudia Winkleman’s animal identification one
Martin was a great guest and a very charisamatic guy, they should invite him again

But.. that, and the instant pride and awkward way that he did it all, was all faked. 😳
Well done
I love Rob so much, he is the life and soul of this show.
I believe every word of that story was true, except Alan Sugar wasn't there.
Everyone turned on Rob the moment he picked on Martin Clunes, that's hilarious
Who's Alan Sugar
He hosts the apprentice.
He's also a multi millionaire and owns a company but no-one knows what he makes/sells
@@J1234T Fair, now your next challenge, selling the shite Sir Alan actually makes.
shogah*
He’s actually worth over a billion pounds now. His companies all seem to be run by his son nowadays
Have you ever?
