For me, it’s the best show in the history of television. The level of skill from the actors is unparalleled. Mrs. Tishell, Auntie Joan, Louiser, first secy with blond braided hair, and of course Martin cannot have done a better job. Rest of the cast is fabulous as well and there aren’t any weaknesses. Casting was impeccable. My favorite scene in the series was when Doc Martin lectured to his father how it was going to be with Auntie Joan’s farm and he didn’t want Auntie Joan to know Doc was paying because he didn’t want her to feel grateful.
I just finished binge-watching the entire series and keep trying to decide which character I enjoyed the most.. it's impossible! Mrs. Tishell was absolutely one of my favorites, but they were all so entertaining that I can't pick just one!
I am from New York and happened to come by this show by accident on pluto. And i can't stop watching it. It is hilarious, dramatic and the connection with him and Luisa and thestory line of how a small community comes together to help 1each other and celebrate each other!!!❤❤Love it!!
I'm in NJ, and also came on this series by accident. I binge-watched the entire 10 seasons over the last month. I can't tell you how much I wish there were more seasons to enjoy - and you will too!
Portobello Road? Scotland?! My 95 year old mother and I love Doc. We've actually just started watching the series from the beginning again (purchased all seasons). I enjoy doing this with her, I know she doesn't have muuch time left. A wonderful show, wonderfully written and casted.
I actually looked up this video JUST to see him smile 😂 because I think it’s such fun to see how cute he is! And it’s so crazy that we literally never see him smile in the series! It’s bizarre but beautifully done!
I spent three years as a surgical scrub nurse. The O.R. Scenes in Doc Martin are horrible because he continually fails to follow sterile technique protocol. What vascular surgeon wouldn’t know how to do it right? It’s nice to see Clunes laughing and smiling, because I’m on season seven, and I find his relationship with Louisa very painful to watch and not amusing.
One does wonder why she would stay with such a man. Answers I found are she is sure he will never cheat, he is utterly devoted to her but not in the ways women generally want. She (character) makes at one point peace with it. She knows he deeply loves her and he does improves a little bit with time. She does realize lots of things when his parents come and with the so-called mom returns.
I am american living in Ga. and I love this show. Well done.
18 yrs! What an amazing series!
One of the best series in the tv, amazing and well done
We are new fans! Never knew about this show until a few weeks ago. We bought a subscription to Acorn and now we binge watch. Absolutely the best!
Wish we had such brilliant shows in the US.
Unfortunately the us don’t make good programs.. with an exception of the office but as you know that is a derivative of a British show.
I love Martin Clunes in the a William and Mary series, too! I wish it had gone on longer. Such an excellent actor.

It's weird to see Martin Clunes smiling. He never smiles when he's in character lol. The seris is funny and cleverly written.
